I keep getting a ! next to my songs on iTunes. How can I fix that?
I can play the songs on my iPod but when I want to play them on iTunes I can't. It tells me it can not be found. I found this solution on a posting ....
There easy solution is; when you see the Would you like to locate it message, click on Yes and manually search your folders for it. Open it when you find it and the song will be restored to iTunes. Unfortunately, since those songs are not in the iTunes Music Folder of your computer, this means that those same songs will disappear next time you have a failure and you will have to repeat this process.
but it didn't work for me. I don't want to remove the music on my iPod because I don't want to lose it forever but I need to make room for new music. I didn't really keep the cd's because I had them saved on my iPod so I gave most of my cd's away.

This is the problem because iPods are not intended for use that way (aside from the legality of having a copy of music you no longer own). Storing music on your iPod and nowhere else is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
The iPod is not reliable enough to use it as a long term storage device, and these forums are littered with posts from people who decided to use it as such and ended up losing all their music.

You can change the Apple ID used for purchasing on her phone by going to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using her Apple ID. This is because apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID in Settings>Store. -

This was annoying me as well. You have to go into Settings, then General, then Accessibility, then Voice Over and turn that off as well as Speak Hints...

I have tried to reinstall the i Tunes app 3 times. Just get message of i tunes was improperly intalled. In order to burn cds need to reinstall. What other things can i try its very frustrating.

I know my card is fine. I used it to to make in app purchases on my ipod just 2 nights ago and nothing has changed. I tried using it to get music on Itunes on my laptop and then I started having the problem on my ipod since the apple ID links the 2. now I can't even update free apps like gmail without my billing info being correct. What can I do to fix this? I read somewhere to click "none" under payment method and then to re enter the info, but there's no none option....

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally.

My husband and I have both downloaded the new IOS 8.2 and now he is getting my text messages that are only addressed to me. He has a 5 and I have a 6. It is like we are synced together. How can I fix that?
Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.

I am not able to download all the album I bought from itune store. The album contains 13 songs but 4 of them would not load up into my ipod. An error code will pop up notified me that "my Ipod cannot convert some of the file" How can I fix that?

I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader.
But have you run the the iPhoto Library upgrader? It is installed in Applications > Utilities. Launch it and direct it to your iPhoto library.
Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from?
The upgrader is only necessary, if you have been running iPhoto7.1.2 or earlier. -

If your phone number isn't listed on an iPod touch or iPad, follow these steps:
1. Update to the latest version of iOS.
2. Verify that you're using the same Apple ID that you're using on your iPhone.
3. On your iPad or iPod touch, sign out of your Apple ID in the following locations:
- Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
- Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
4. Sign in to your Apple ID with FaceTime and iMessage.
If your phone number still isn't listed, follow these steps:

What version of iTunes are you using? The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.
