I keep getting repetitive text msgs or watsapp msgs in notification.

I Keep getting repetitive text msgs or watsapp msgs in my notification. Sometimes the recipient receives the same text message from me for 10-15 times though i have just send it ones.
Is this some virus problem or  some software issue??

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) exhibiting the same behavior.  With a vanilla 10.7.4 image (and a new Recovery partition), it is fine for two to three days, and then the kernel panics start, and then increase in frequency.  In each panic, /var/log/kernel.log reports:  kernel (0): Previous Shutdown Cause: 3.
Running MRI (we are an authorized Apple shop) returns no hardware errors.  Running Apple Service Diagnostic for 24 hours returns no hardware errors, leading us to think it was an underlying software error.  Re-tested using a vanilla 10.6.8 image and got the same result.
Reading a Topher Kessler article on c|net suggests the problems may be either the battery or power adapter.  Looking to corroborate that now . . .
Cheers,
Andy

My wife and I got Iphone 4S same day 2 years ago. I used the same Apple ID for both. We do not use iCloud, but today after I updated my phone to IOS7 I keep getting her texts on my phone ans vice versa. I turned off imessage in message settings. Seems to have stopped now? Never did this before IOS7. Will I have more troubble when her phone updates to IOS7? Is icloud going to be forced on me then?

This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage on both phones.  To separate your messages, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and do one of the following:
Either uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on both phones; or
If you want to continue to receive iMessages at this email address, on one of the two phones, tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using a different Apple ID.

I just upgraded my phone. I keep getting duplicate texts. Please help. Thanks!

    Toggle iMessage Off then On
Turning iMessage off then on again worked for my particular issue. You can do this by following these steps:
From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
    Select “Messages“
Slide “iMessages” to off for about 3 minutes, then turn it back on.
Your iPhone will be re-registered and may clear up the duplicate text message notification problem.
    Repeat Alerts Setting
There is a setting that repeats notifications which could cause this issue. Check it with these steps:
From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
    Select “Notification Center“.
    Choose “Messages“.
Ensure that the “Repeat Alerts” setting is set to “Once“.
    Send & Receive Setting
Another setting that involves sending notifications to multiple numbers could be the issue as well. Check the following:
From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
    Select “Messages“.
    Choose “Send & Receive“.
Ensure that only your phone number is listed in the “You can be reached by iMessage at” area. If you have an email address or anything else listed, it could cause duplicate text messages.

  • My iMessage is stuck on the wrong phone number and I keep getting coded text messages from SMS Info.

I recently switched the sim card in my iPhone when I moved from one country to another. When I put my local sim card in iMessage would not activate (just staying on 'waiting for activation' forever). This has not been a problem before. When I went to send/receive I saw the phone number there is still on the old one from the country I left. This is not the case in phone settings when I look for 'my phone number' or in facetime, which recognise the new number.
Plus I keep getting text messages from 'SMS Info'. They are just code, except that in there my new phone number is included among the code. The only other discernible characters are the letters 'REG-RESP?'. Perhaps this is something to do with an error in registering my new number.
    I have tried-
    1. Turning it off and on again.
    2. Turning iMessage off and on again. This results in the usual 'it may cost you to reactivate with an SMS' popup on my phone screen, then a popup saying there has been a mistake, then one of these coded SMS messages.
    3. Doing the above in combination with logging in and out of my apple id (as suggested on another forum post here)
    4. Removing the new sim card and replacing the old one. Then turning off iMessage, replacing the new sim card and turning iMessage back on (of course powering the phone down and up)
None of these remedies have worked. The iMessage problem is affecting all sorts of my messages. Windows keep popping up saying that I may have to pay for an SMS to activate iMessage, except that it doesn't activate. The SMS messages from 'SMS Info' keep coming and I can't seem to get any of it to stop an just work normally.
I have looked in these forums already and can't see the same problem elsewhere. If someone could figure this out I would be most grateful.

    Hi,
When a Mac is "registered" for iMessages account with an Apple ID the Serial Number of the Mac is used to create an Auth Token as it is called for the Messages app that allows that Mac to work.
I would guess a similar process of linking the Number of the iPhone to a Hardware fact about the device is also in place.
I would contact Apple Support and check with them.  (you might need to speak to a Level 2 person as Level 1 people are script led and try to fit everything into Software or Hardware categories where as sorting and Apple ID (which the Number is in this case) is normally Free).
I did find this iOS: Troubleshooting Messages - Apple Support
It starts off about sorting SMS that is not working.
This one has a bit on Unlinking an iPhone Number (with or without the iPhone) iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage - Apple Support

  • I keep getting random texts from 900080006009

Similar to an issue another user posted (but without a resolution other than to switch phones), I keep getting texts for 90080006009. These messages *** say "//VZWSSOClient: 111070030584" but the number at the end changes in each message.
I currently have an iphone 4 and do not believe I have signed for an cloud emailing, or anything with the cloud for that matter. Does anyone know how to fix the issue? I don't want to set up a separate contact list and have it mute the phone each time I get a message because I still have to manually delete them, I want them to stop.
    Thanks!!!

        CA345,
Sorry to hear you keep getting these messages. If you are getting a Verizon Wireless single sign-on message that may be related to MyVerizon based on what I am reading by yourself and others. So let’s start there. Make sure you have any updates for the MyVerizon app. Then reset the MyVerizon app: http://vz.to/1qpC4Vq . Launch and log in. Close the app and launch it again. Still get the text?
Another thing that potentially causes the issue is any third party messaging applications that are misinterpreting communication from VZW for MyVerizon as a text message. If you have any 3rd party text messaging application try uninstalling the app and open MyVerizon. Let us know if the problem perists.

Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

  • Keep getting "renderable text" error when I need to OCR PDF's from FrameMaker.

My solution has been to individually extract all those pages, then open them up in Photoshop, flatten them and
widen the canvas size to standard 8.5 x 11.
But that's a little tedious and time-consuming and you have to delete the original page from your document, after
    importing the OCR-friendly page.
Is there a printer definition, or something you can set up when you're generating your PDF's in the first place,
that will get rid of that annoying "renderable text" error?

    Ok...
I don’t know how it happens but after I save my work in FrameMaker or MS Word, and print
to PDF for the final output, there are often pages with text in them that isn’t recognizable,
or that can’t be found with a CTRL+F search.
That is a serious issue, and one we might be able to help you with, but really, quite separate from the issue here. It's too late to try and fix this once it is a PDF.
What is it that’s lost when OCR is run?
Quality. Small file size. Tags (which might be required legally). Almost everything except the basic text, and that might also be lost given that OCR is not guaranteed to work. This is NOT the right way to solve your problem.
The translator doesn’t have any Adobe products except Reader, so I’m limited to Acrobat
to show her how the words and pictures are laid out on a page.
In order for her to copy and paste that text – or search it, to find all of the places where the
same word might be used – I need to make sure every word is there for her to grab.
I have heard of translators trying to work with PDFs, and few that succeed. You can reasonably expect a transation service to support FrameMaker. But if they don't I recommend you extract the text from FrameMaker to a simple Word or text file. They should be fine using the PDF as a visual reference, and having the text to translate, and for you to flow back into the original layout. (Again, something I'd expect a full service translation to do themselves, but there are advantages to keeping control too).
Those were the 2 pages that gave the ‘renderable text’ error. Don’t ask me why or how, they
look like all the other pages in that document. Except Acrobat thinks they’re scanned graphics,
that’s how they present when you wave the cursor around in them, hunting for text.
Renderable text is just text. It means that somewhere on that page there is text. Surely there is layout, page numbers, whatever from FrameMaker on the pages. If not, we really need to look at your production methods - back to the first point.

  • Why do i keep getting blank texts

My boss will send our leadership team a group MMS.  I always receive a blank bubble.  She has to keep texting me individually and tells me to buy an iPhone but my phone is an iPhone. Our entire organization promotes iPhones which why I purchased one. Atleast my Galaxy was able to receive her texts without issue.  Can someone please tell me what setting is wrong on my phone?

    Try changing this -
    <?php if ($totalRows_rsDonationResults > 0) { // Show if recordset not empty ?>
    to this -
    <?php if ($totalRows_rsDonationResults > 0) { // Show if recordset not empty
    ?>
i.e. put the closing PHP markup on a separate line so that it's not part of the comment.

  • HT1483 My ipod needed repairing, so I backed up the data into restore file. My ipod was swapped for a totally new ipod and now I am having difficulty reloading the restored data that I saved. I keep getting the corrupt or not compatible MSG??? Any Ideas

My IPOD needed repairing, so I backed up my personal data into a restore file. In the end my ipod was exchanged for a brand new one and now I am having difficulty with restoring all of my data that I saved.
While trying to restore through iTunes I keep gettingthe corrupt or not compatible error message. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this issue?
    Much Appreciated for any help!

You can not restorea a backup made with a newer version of iOS to a phone with an older version of iOS.
1400 photos stored on the phone? Do you not EVER extract them? The camera roll is intended to be temporary storage. Like the SD card in a digital camera. You should be extracting them to your computer on a regular basis.
Contacts should be synced to a compatible contact manager or cloud service. If you were not doing any of these things, guard your backups with your life and make sure your computer is being backed up on a regular basis, because you won't be able to get them back until you get a new phone with at least the same version of iOS that your 4 had.
There are 3rd party applications that say they can extract this information from a backup file, but I don't have personal experience with them.

  • HT3529 i keep getting a text message that i have a text message and i have to click on it to get it

when somebody sends me a text,my phone dislays that i have a text and i then need to unlock phone to get message

    That's how it works.

  • Why do i keep getting repeated text messages?

When I am texting, most of the time I will get a repeated text message from the person I am texting. I know that it isn't the person that I'm am talking to's phone because this happens to anybody and everybody that texts me. I have tried doing a hard drive reset and restarting my iPhone but it hasn't done anything. If you know how to solve this, please reply to this! Thanks!

as an example.. from the sprint forum for a different device (unsure what device.. it's just not an iphone since no iphone or ios device has these settings -- ive seen this advice several times and I believe it's some form of android.. but not sure)
advice from the carrier advisor --
"Clear data in the Dialer and Dialer storage.... under manage Applications> All.
That is Settings - Applications - Choose All to view All choices - then find Dialer and clear the Data. Repeat this for the Dialer Storage as well. I personally also deleted the message thread first from the text message window and my log history which is a menu item from your call screen."
and another for you from a customer -- it is sprint again.. but this time a Samsung Epic
"OMG ... if someone can't tell me how to fix this "9230: Message sent using invalid number of digits..." error, I'm going to scream.  My husband and I both have Sprint Epic phones and love them EXCEPT for this one problem! Help!"
    Maybe they should sue Samsung?

  • My ex girlfriends I phone has same add as my sons I pad and he keeps getting her texts come through how can that be stopped

How do I stop my ex girlfriends text going through to my sons I pad

That's not enough.  Sign out of the Apple ID entirely.  If you stay signed in, then since her phone number is associated to that Apple ID, unless she signs out of the Apple ID on her device, the association remains.
Sign out of her Apple ID entirely, then sign in with a different Apple ID.
