I lost my ipod touch, i know there is a way to find it through what i have purchased, i have an ipad as well, so i do not know if the system differenciates and how to do it

I lost my IpodTouch; I know there is a way to find it as in a google map, but I do not know how, can someone tell me ?? I do not even have the ID for the ipod but through purchases in the i store, can I know and then look for it?

You might need to use a faster internet connection or stonger wifi signal, or download them to your iTunes library (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519) and sync them to your iPad to watch them.

The only way you can track an iOS device is if you had an application on it called "MobileMe - Find my iPhone", which works for any iOS device version 4.0 and above. Have been trying to find my UUID number on my old iBook so that I can tell if my computer has already been infected, but can't seem to locate it. (Seems as if old versions don't list it on the About panel.) Also, can't seem to find the place to download Apple's patch for the security breach anywhere. Anyone have any info? Thanks, Chris

If ou turned on Settings > iCloud > Find My before it was lost, login to our iCloud account, click Find My Phone and see if it shows up.
To show Find My must have been turned on, it must be powered p, and it must be connected to the Internet. Without all of those you will not be able to find it.

There is no way to find it if you don't have any tracking software. And you probably wouldn't be able to track it because it is probably dead.

You can do better than that. You can click on the Restore button that appears under your device in iTunes. This will restore your iPod to factory settings as if it were fresh out of the box. But don't worry. By doing a restore, you will then be given the option to "Restore from Backup." This will allow you to restore the state of your previous iPod!!
