I lost my recovery cds that i made for this computer and need to recover it? where can i get disks?

I guess this is my last ditch effor to fix this computer.  All HP computers I've ever had had a hidden partition from where I could recover the computer, but this one doesn't.  I think it's too old or something. It is a:
Presario V5000 (But I think this website called it a V5306US)
Windows XP
Error messages are Resource Conflict - PCI Network Controller in Slot 3 & 4 -
At this time I cannot connect to the internet wired or wirelessly.  I'm hoping nuking it will fix it
No changes were made before the error started happening.  I've been using it as a DVD player for a couple years now.
Anyways, I'm just looking for the XP disks or if there's a way to get them or should I take the computer target shooting or maybe use it as a extra large coaster?
Thanks anybody

Hi,
Generally, HP do not stock Recovery Discs for machines built before 2006, but they are available from a reliable source Here.
Regarding your Avatar, when you've logged on to the HP Forum, expand Resources and Settings in the top right pane of the page and select User Settings.  Under the Search box, click Avatars and change your icon here.
