I lost the tool bar in my email, how do I get it back, and how do you get the link to open when you click on the little chain link symble

I work on a Dell with Windows XP and Firefox 5, and when I send out an email and try to type a link in the body of the email the link does not open up for the addressee, and I highlight the link and then bold it, and the go to the little chain link symbol and clink on it and no matter how I fill out the boxes it will still not open when they get the email. What do I have to do to get it to work, please help, my email is [email protected] , and the link that I unusually send out is '''[[www.PaidonBillsNow.com |www.PaidonBillsNow.com]]''' now this was different than what is normally comes up, but how do I get this to work, thanks my email is [email protected]

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    Given that the problem cropped up right after updating OS X on two separate machines, it's looking to me like it's just a bug that needs squashing at this point.

    When you sync to a new library, it will erase the current content.
    Use your backup copy of the old computer to copy everything to the new one.

    You will need to be much more specific about what you problem is. That is how TM works. That is how you find things to restore from TM, by using a Finder window so that you can browse through the Mac's hierarchy of folders and files.

    Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

    when i click on the desktop icon or go through the menu path to open firefox, the computer will run it but nothing appears. apparently, firefox is still running in the background but i cant get to it. so whenever i try to edit another program that involves firefox, i have to go to the task manager to manually shut it down.

    It could be that a security software installed in the system is blocking the new updated Firefox executable. You may have to go into the settings of the security software to re-trust Firefox.
    Please also check if you are able to start Firefox by browsing to the Firefox installation folder ('''Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\''' or '''Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\''' ) and clicking '''firefox'''.

    Currently I can't open a New Tab even when I click on the + sign or try to open over the Menu command. The only way that it opens is when I browse over the link and click with the right mouse button.     This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

    A couple things to try.
    1) Quit the App Store, wait a few minutes, then open it and check the Purchases tab. Is there a progress bar.

    I have been trying to help a friend who is having problems publishing her website. (She has done so previously using Mobile me)
    There seem to be a couple of things wrong with the application,
    1     if I drag the application icon onto the dock, it won't stay there
    2     I wanted to change where her site is published to (she has bought a domain name and has a hosting service now) but when I click on the domain name I do not get the "site publishing settings page" so we can't enter the new details.  All that comes up is the main page of her website.
    I would suggest uninstalling and re-installing Iweb, to see if that clears the problem, but as Iweb came pre-installed with her Imac, I am not sure that we can do this.
    Any ideas please?

    NO - not correct.  Even if you are still using iWeb 08, you can still publish to another host and not MobileMe.  You do this by selecting the option 'Publish to a local folder" and this will publish the site to your desktop and you can then use an ftp programme such as Cyberduck to upload your site to your host.
    MobileMe will not be here after the end of June, so you will have to find alternative hosting.  They are not taking any new subscriptions.
    On new Macs, iLife 11 is pre-installed, but only iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand are included, not iWeb and iDVD. The Apple Online store is not selling the boxed version of iLife 11 any longer, so if you want to upgrade to iLife, then you'll have to look online at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for a boxed set of either iLife 09 or iLife 11.  Both contains iWeb 09, which is what you would want.

    Out of the blue my Finder App will not open when I click the icon.  Finder will open if I click and hold the Finder icon and select New Finder Window.  It's more of an annoyance than anything, but I use Finder a lot and don't want the extra step of clicking and holding.
    I have checked the Finder functionality on my other Users and it works fine, so it is just my User that is having the problem.
    This is what I have tried to do to fix the issue:
    Delete com.apple.finder.com and restart
    Delete all Login Items and restart
    Unplug all peripherals and restart
    Test the issue in Safe Mode.  The problem still occurred in Safe Mode.
    Deleted my User and restored from Time Machine Backup.  Still have the problem.
    I don't know what else to try.  Any help will be appreciated.
