Why am I getting this error and how do I fix it?
I am new to actionscript. I am following a tutorial on lynda. I am trying to learn how to create flash games. I am using flash cs4. The tutorial uses flash cs3 and and actionscript 3.0. I added a movie clip to my library and enabled export for actionscript. I got a dialog box that says "a definition for this class could not be found in the classpath, so one will automatically be generated in the swf file upon export." I click ok. Then when I try to test it, I get an error that says "call to possibly undefined method". What exactly am I doing wrong?
Try modifying your class and your code as follows...
change the class linkage to be Cursor. Not that it is wrong, but classes typically have upper case letters to make them easier to identify in code.
then, do not use the name of the class as the instance name....

But what did the trick was actually dropping the format from 1080 to 720. Then doing a master file. Quitting and restarting FCP and flicking the project back to 1080p and sharing it again. Low and behold it worked and not an error message was seen. That is some kind of bug. So I am sorted and can now export the 1080p project in 1080p or whatever. I have no idea what went on, but it is now working. I hope my fluke of a tip helps someone who is at their wits end like I was. LOL Thanks again for your replies.

I don't understand the error. My query looks good as it is just pulling 2 items from the previous pages form. I ran a CFDUMP and verified that the variables needed are being passed. When I remove the cfdump, I get this error and it is driving me mad. I am using coldfusion 8. I am missing something that is obviously going right over my head.
It would also be a good idea to pass in the id value, rather then relying on the component function to get the data from the form scope outside of itself.
Depending on where the component is coming from, it may or may not have access to the form scope.
