i used my macbook air to share the internet with my iPhone, now the problem is my mac is also connected to hotspot shield (bec i'm in china) therefore, when my mac air is connected to hotspot shield, my iPhone is unable to use the internet, any help?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

I have an external hard drive that I used with my mini mac. I want to use it on my MacBookPro. I plugged it in found it on my computer, it flashes seemed okay until it tipped over and came unplugged to the computer. I set it back up turned it on and the grren light sometimes flashes. I read an article that said I needed to format the drive, I followed instructions and did that. I will download tomorrow my pictures.

If you are using Exchange 5.5 or later you don't really need a custom connector. Exchange has an export/import command "admin.exe" that can be used to create a csv file of your exchange users (and other info). All you'll need then is the meta UTC (Universal Text Connector).

The second gen iPod has the hard drive capacity (4GB or 6GB) stated on the rear of the case. The icons on the clickwheel are the same colour as the iPod. It wasn't supplied with a power adaptor.
Updating the iPod puts the latest version iPod software on it. However the most recent updater didn't add anything new for the iPod.

Hello, Help needed! I want to add an extra 4 bars of a new track in the middle of my project but I need all the remaining tracks to move over 4 bars if you know what I mean. Whats the best way to do this?

Hello, I need to add 4 extra bars in the middle of one of my projects. Therefore all the tracks need to be split at that point and moved 4 bars further along. Is there an easy way to do this? I cant see a way without painstakingly splitting each track at that point, trying to move each of the tracks individually along by 4 bars and trying to line them all up exactly again. Ive tried this a few times but their not in exact sinc. Any help at all greatly appreciated! Thanks Declan

Use the arrangement track. If you define arrangement regions, you can move sections of your song around, across all tracks.

The extension Firefox for Norton Toolbar 2011.7.2.3 was just updated to be compatible with Firefox 7.0.1, and it now warns me not to log on to my Facebook account, that it's a fraudulent website, even though it's the same web-site I've always used to log on to Facebook.

It's not up to Firefox to support add-ons, but rather for add-on developers to keep up with new versions of Firefox.

What is the cause of Firefox seizing up and having to use task manager to close down

When I use Firefox within 2 pages it seizes. When you try to click on anything I hear a ding with no response, even when you try to shut it down. You have to shut it down with Task manager. It seems that for years Adobe has overlooked their ColdFusion product while choosing to focus on Photoshop and other design related products. ColdFusion does not get the attention that it deserves and had built a fence around adoption of the product by pricing the product out of reach for many. Why would anyone want to purchase ColdFusion when you could be using, PHP, Railo .NET, Ruby on Rails or one of the myriad of other development environments that are just as robust but easier to afford.
