I'm new to this- Internet Navigation

Question: Mobileme web site
when i'm using a browser if i put in a word it shows me HITS which have relevance to that word, the web site developer has to put these words into their site on a navigation panel when developing the web site. Does that exist on the mobileme so any Tom Dick or Harry on the world wide web will find it or is it, as the Get started Clip suggests, you have to Send the web address to friends. Sounds an odd question but i've never put in a search and ever seen a mobileme web site pop up.

Usually you'll need to provide the URL of your site to those you want to have visit. However, if your site has been up a while some of the internet search engines may have picked up on the site's name and could provide a link to it when the site name is searched for like my sight "Toad's Tutorials". I haven't done anything unique to get it recognized by search engines. There are methods that can be applied to make a site more searchable. If you're interested in that go to Roddy's SEO page at his iWeb for Musicians site. Very good information.
The bottom line, for family sites sent the URL to those you wish to visit.

In my java interface I would like to make a button which, when we clicked it, launch an internet navigator.
Is there a function which allows that?
Is this function platform-dependant?

I also try to install Java SE runtime but half way through the Software Update it says cant download software because of network problem but I'm connected to the internet and i can browse stuff just fine. Can any one help with my problems. P.S. I don't know the administrator password or stuff like that. And yes we are allowed to play games and stuff on these laptops but only at home not at school so don't tell me i need to focus on school and not games.

Since you updated the operating system, it is probably Minecraft is missing certain files that ware remove or are not longer comparable with the new version of the OSX. what I recommend, is to check is there is an update for Minecraft and install that. If there is not update available, probably the best thing will be reinstalling Minecraft. Hope this will help you.

New iMac wireless internet crashes repeatedly -- why?

Just set up the following wireless LAN: Netgear WGT624v3 wireless router as access point between a broadband cable modem, a new 27" iMac, a PowerBook G4, and a Canon wireless printer. Everything works great except for one thing: whenever I'm trying to use the internet on the new iMac, my internet connection crashes and I have to manually reset the modem and router. This happens when downloading a file even as small as 2 Mb. As you can imagine, this has become incredibly irritating, as none of us can get anything done on our new computer without me having to come over and flip a switch on the power strip to repeatedly reset the internet connection.
The Netgear router is about as old as the PowerBook (3+ years)--I see it's listed "EOL" (end-of-life) on the Netgear website, and I'm wondering if it may not be powerful enough to handle the new iMac? That's the only thing I can think of, since using the internet with the PowerBook causes no problems at all. I don't understand the subtleties of Airport v. Airport Extreme, 802.11b, g, n or whatever, to figure this out on my own.
Anyone had a similar problem and/or can confirm that the router is the culprit before I needlessly spend money on a new one?

Some things you can try, if you haven't already:
-Make sure you don't have any cordless phone base stations operating near your router.
-Are any other electrical appliances (like microwave ovens or fluorescent bulbs) operating when your wireless connection fails?
-Power down the router and the iMac, then restart each.
-Change the channel your router uses to broadcast its signal. You should be able to do this from the web browser interface most routers support.
-Check Netgear's support website for firmware updates. Some routers can be commanded to check this from the web browser interface.

Boot into Internet Recovery and erase the hard drive, then reinstall the OS.
That will install the original OS that the Mac shipped with. You can then register it under your AppleID and upgrade to Mavericks.

If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
• iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
• DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
• Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)

I resolved both my problems. The problems with Walgreens is that my own Frontier internet connection is very slow and will allow only minimal downloads. When I used a Verizon Hot Spot to download pictures they downloaded without any problem. So I am working iwth Frontier to resolve my slow internet speed. The problem with pictures be syncronized to a gallery was resolved by using the Help column and the pictures were easily deleted by following their instructions.

When I close the course with button X (to close/to leave) of the bar of reproduction of captivate the shipment of data is effective (tracking ok). The problem is that following the version of the Internet navigator to explorer, many users directly close the session with the vane (x) of the navigator and not using the button of the bar of navigation of captivate, in this case how profit that acts the same as that button x of the bar of navigation of captivate, that is to say that when closing with the X of the navigator also records the data of pursuit in the LMS.

No, a firewall is for blocking connections based on ports and protocols. You could block all of your email with it by blocking pop or imap ports, but then you would get no emails at all.
You already are protected from direct connections initiated from the internet if you have a router. Don't turn anything else on. Unsubscribe to any mailing lists that you might be on and filter your junk email in your mail application.

I lost my internet navigation toolbar and also my bookmarks all disappeared

I opened my mozilla and found that my internet navigation toolbar is gone, together with all my bookmarks. I cannot find the click to save a new bookmark.

To restore the navigation toolbar, in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on "Navigation Toolbar" to select it.
