I'm running Firefox 7 beta. Upon start up it asks me to update it, but when I go to the direct site it says that I'm already updates. Is there a 7.1 that I need to download? I can't find it.
When I start Firefox 7 beta in the morning it will tell me that I need to update it for security reasons. I hit "ask me later" and go to the Mozilla site to check to see if it is a valid update. The Mozilla site says my Firefox is already up to date. Is someone trying to get me to download something I shouldn't, like a virus? Or is it an actual update. I can't find anything about 7 beta updates.

The Check Your Plugins program I run for Firefox 3.6.13 under WXP gives me an orange button stating that the Adobe PDF plugin is outdated and suggests I click to update, but when I do so I do am not taken to an update for the plugin but to a download of 47MB for Adobe Reader X. I find nothing about an updated plugin on the Adobe site or under Adobe downloads. Surely this plugin is not a 47MB program.
TonyE is correct the plugin version comes with Adobe's Reader X.
The failure in communication is two parted:
1. Reader X is not Acrobat (Mozilla Plugin Checker)
2. Acrobat is not mentioned in the Reader X download Page (Adobe)
therefore confused clients.

I did a factory reset on my old laptop and lost my Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. I have the serial number but need a download and can only find download for Pro version. When I enter my serial number (standard) into the Pro Installation it says the number is invalid. Any idea where I can download Standard version of 9? Thanks.
Kimg68365882 did you purchase Acrobat 9 Standard from Adobe directly? If so and you choose to download the software instead of receive a CD then please see Find a download link on Adobe.com.
If you originally received the software on CD then please use a computer with an optical drive to copy the contents of the CD to a USB drive. -
Am running Firefox 7.0.1 now. Normal memory usage is 157mb but when running Facebook (not running apps nor games), it goes up to 553mb Why?
I encountered the same type of problem. Firefox running terribly slowly and slowing down my entire machine (Core i5 with 256GB SSD). So doing the exact opposite as Mozilla support said solved the problem. It is really a pain now to work with Firefox. I'm using it because I have no choice, but I'd recommend IE and Chrome over Firefox... Whatever, the market will decide once Firefox has become to crappy... -
I've bought an iPhone5. After that i've syn that with my old apple ID. But when i login to the apple site it is telling that my phone is not registered. What can i do?

Everyone else can see the new site.. but when I punch the website address into Firefox... I am redirected to the odd site.
Now I have flushed the DNS (ipconfig /flushDNS) and I have cleared the cache, cookies and everything I can possibly clean I have...but it still redirects.
So there is something I am not doing above all that, that I need to do... any ideas what it is.
I have also gone into FireFox config and changed the network.dnsCacheExpiration as the preference name to 0
Thanks guys for the help.. as I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.Do you want to try bypassing your ISP by changing DNS servers? You could try OpenDNS or Google Public DNS. One way to change this is at the Windows level (in the TCP/IP properties dialog), and another is in your router. Something more temporary would be to change your IE connection settings (I think it's under LAN Settings). However, the details are beyond what I can look up at the moment.

Recently I upgraded to 5.0 on my IMac (OS X 10.5.8). Shortly after I began to get popups telling me I need a Firefox software update. When I click on "About Firefox" , it tells me updates are available and gives me the link to the website. When I do a check on the website, it tells me I'm up to date. Are these popups some kind of malware? If so, how can I get of them?
Actually it was just for 10.5 and 10.7 only as the 10.6 was a typo in release notes.

This IS the 64 bit version of iTunes! It won't recognize my phone! I've reinstalled iTunes, restarted both the computer and the phone, and still can't fix it!
What computer do you have? is it 32 or 64 bit operating system?

running Firefox beta on Google nexus 7 with android v.4.4.2 with no issues until the last two days.
Various websites like Facebook, CTV.ca, any and many while running on Firefox will freeze up, and then crash.
most annoying!
Is there a fix for this, or do I have to uninstall and reinstall Firefox?

I'm in Cuenca now--NO STORE, & now that I need to activate--have also been told "not every cellular store CAN activate iphone!" I am reading about all these problems--yours is the first response that has a solution! Now going to set up with Claro... wish me luck! I keep getting a message stating that it is critical that I update my Firefox. I click on the update icon and a software update box shows up and tells me I am connecting to the update server but the connection never happens. I have left it running for hours but no connection ever occurs. Should I ignore this or do I need to go to your website and download from there? I don't want to lose my current settings.
In the Task Manager, make sure to check both the Applications tab and the Processes tab. On the Processes tab, Firefox may have two different components running: firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe. Well, in 3.5.11, it would be only the first one.

When I try to open a spreadsheet on my Mac that I worked on with my iPhone, I get "You need a newer version of Numbers to open this spreadsheet." When I go to the App store, it says I already have it. I have v. 2.3 and can't seem to download newer version.
If you are running Mavericks, and the Mac App store says you are up to date, then you have Numbers 3.2 as well as Numbers 2.3. You are getting the "Need a newer version message because your Mac is trying to open the document using Numbers 2.3.
Launch Numbers 3, then open the document from within that app, or right click/control-click the document and choose Open with Numbers 3.x.

My iTunes won't let me connect my iPhone because it says I need an updated iTunes, but when I try to download the new iTunes, it says that my Mac software (10.5.8) is too old. However, there are no software updates available. What can I do?
It depends on what iPhone you have.
If it's an iPhone 4S or earlier, click here.
If it's an iPhone 5, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, and that requires an Intel Mac with at least 1GB RAM.

When I go to fillout a feedback form it tells me I'm not running Firefox Beta
When I click out the "feedback" button on the top right and select either "Firefox made me sad because..." or "Firefox made me happy because..." It takes me to a webpage that says I'm not running Firefox Beta. I'm running it in a Virtual Machine, could that be why?
I believe this is due to the original planned release date for beta 3.
Beta 3 was originally planned to be released on August 6th, but has been delayed for a few days. The feedback system appears to have been setup to stop feedback from beta 2 from 6th August when beta 3 was originally planned for release. The feedback system will work again once beta 3 is released.
I noted that you posted this from Firefox 3.6.8, I take it you also have Firefox 4.0 beta 2 installed.
