I recently purchased adobe indesign I'm trying to download it but i'm getting a message that's saying “Install.app” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.
System Preferences / Security & Privacy / General tab.
Change the settings at the bottom half of the window.

You can change the settings in Security & Privacy to "Anywhere"...
That should work... as to whether the printer driver will work, that's another question.

when trying to download ipod reset utility for windows i get a message that the installer is intended for 32-bit version of windows. what can i do?
I assume you have tried everything here?
iPod: Cannot restore or update in iTunes with error 1415, 1417, 1418, 1428, 1429, 1430, 1436, or 1439
It doesn't mention 1442, but the same troubleshooting applies.
It wouldn't hurt to also try another available USB port on your machine and another sync cable if possible.
Lastly, try restoring the iPod on another PC or Mac running iTunes.
If you know of somebody with a PC running Windows XP still, ask them if you can download the reset utility and use it to reset the Shuffle.

I am the administrator, I am the only account on the computer. What is happening?For an issue like that you should either call the Apple help line or (and this is the option I use most often, and with good success) go to apples support page. There you can search for answered questions and if you dont find an answer then you can write a question and hope it gets answered. There are many people on that page that are quite good at trouble shooting and suggesting fixes. To find the support page go to apple.com and in the upper right side of the tool bar of Apples page theres the word support, the rest is easy. Good luck.

Trying to update Adobe Reader but cant..get error message
I have Glary utilities and I got a message in it about updating my Adobe Reader and I have tried several times and I have notified the web site I was in and they had said to try again well I did and again it wont update and then they sent me a direct link to Adobe and I tried it again and once again it goes all the way to the end and then it wont update and I am given a error message: Error 2753 The File 'acrosup64.dll' is not marked for installation
I guess I am not meant to update?
I just about had it and almost ready to give up.

I am trying to download photos from my camera to iphoto on my mac book (which I have done many times before). This time I am getting an alert that saysThe photo “IMG_5965.JPG” could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found. How can I fix this?

You may have to research any newer possibilities in trouble-
shooting or resolving issues by use of iPhoto Support page.
Since I don't use iPhoto as a primary editor or storage, the
details on the topic aren't so good. I prefer ToyViewer editor.

I jsut upgraded to 10.9 and it is up to date and also my safari is up to date (no updates available for it). My safari is saying that my flash is out of date. when I follow the links it lets me download but when I double click to install it tell me "“Install Adobe Flash Player.app” can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store.". When I install the flash UNinstaller and try to install that, it tells me the same. I ALSO found the exact same problem when I tried to install the acrobat installer (some tried to download a pdf and the page told me that my acrobat reader 'might' be out of date). Any thought?
You're running up against the GateKeeper.
Download the offline installer: Flash Player 12.0.0.44 (Mac OS X) by right clicking and choosing "Download Linked File As".
Mount the DMG and when it opens, right click the installer and choose "Open".
You'll see a warning. Click "Open" again.
It will run from there. -

Ericsvaren please make sure the date range selected is sufficient to include the order for your font. I would also encourage you to make a local back up in case you need the font again in the future. It seems that you have only downloaded .exe file. You need to download two file .exe and .7z and put it in a same folder and then try to run .exe

Having trouble watching live streams such as jtv and twitch.tv. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling adobe flash but I still get no stream just ads and pictures. Anyone have any suggestions?
I just wanted to follow this up by saying that you were entirely correct in your diagnosis of the situation. My computer did have the faulty part you linked to. I brought my laptop in and specifically told them to run that test, had it fail and then argued with the person at the genius bar and the manager. Eventually they offered to have it sent out and have everything replaced for free of charge. They did so mainly because I had complained about graphical issues almost every other time I had come in with problems and no one ran the test. They should have caught this problem during my warranty, but they didn't, even though I mentioned the problem.
Anyhow, after having the part replaced, I haven't had my computer crash a single time since, or had many of the issues mentioned above. I've never had this experience before. Even brand new, I got occasional crashes. Hopefully this new trend continues.
I do find that web browsing is still incredibly slow. Web browsers just chug along at a slow pace, even though I have great internet speed. Maybe I'll try just deleting my web browsers and reinstalling them...
