I'm trying to play an .mp4 video, but it does not display smoothly; image is jumpy. The sound is fine, but the image starts and stops. When I play the same file in WMV, displays just fine.
Any suggestions on what I can try to clear this up? Videos that I have downloaded through iTunes work just fine. I don't know how to troubleshoot this file to see what is causing the issue.

I am having the problem when trying to take a panorama picture.
It may only take the first frame or doesn't even start at all when I press the shutter button.
even though when i hold the phone straight up and down, so that camera is at the top on the back and the home button is on the bottom on the front.

- ensure that the panorama option is on
- press the shutter button once
- you will see a line with an arrow
- move around in a circle ( I keep the camera steady and turn myself around in a circle)
- as you do this you will see the arrow moving across the screen as it captures pictures
- at the end of the capture, you will be able to see your panorama picture

Can Video widgets start and stop when entering and exiting the browser viewport?
I like to use multiple autoplaying/looping video clips on a single page but I need to figure out how to make the videos start only when they enter the viewport on a browser and stop after they exit the viewport. Does anyone know a way to do this?
I do not know if this can have an affect on it but the videos are being downloaded through multiple computers to a private server and being accessed through the mac. Please let me know what you think.

While playing back a video recorded on a AJA system we transfered it to the macbook pro played it with quicktime works great and sometimes it sounds like an echo same file track and it plays fine on the aja system.Tried it on another macbook pro and it did the same issue.Any clue to what is going on.Thank you.

I have the LifeProof case for the iPhone5, and I remember the instructions saying that any protective screen cover should be removed before enclosing the phone into the case, but I left mine on with no ill effects.
But I should have taken off the back protective film, which was covering the video mic! -
The sound continues as if it is been playing somewhere, or still downloading although I stoped that. I noticed that the memory is stll taken so it is possible that the close window operation didn't worked. I tried to open again the same video or a game but then new sound start to mix with the old one. It seems to me that is the only solution to restart my computer.

How can I return the sound on my iPod 4 touch to normal? The sound is speeded up when I play a downloaded podcast in any format - Bose dock, ear phones or mic. It's hard to tell, but the music seems ok, and the podcasts sound fine on my Mac.

The two websites where I have the most trouble are www.diamondalignment.com, and blogtalkradio when I go to my switchboard. Every time the site refreshes firefox starts all over again, circling backwards then forwards.

Starting and Stopping FMLE from command line yields corrupt .flv files
I am using FMLE to record and live stream TV content. In order to this I am remotely calling FMLEcmd in order to start and stop encoding processes. The problem that I am running in to is that the .flv files generated are corrupt. The odd thing is that if I use the exact same profile XML from the GUI, then the encoding process works just fine and results appear as intended.
Here is the way my workflow works:
I start the process by calling
FMLEcmd /p C:\lighttpd\htdocs\xml\default.xml /l C:\lighttpd\htdocs\logs\log.txt
then at the conclusion of the recording I call
FMLEcmd /s "C:\lighttpd\htdocs\files\default.flv"
When I attempt to open the files using FFmpeg I get a codec error saying that no codecs were detected. When I attempt to open the files in VLC I get a error saying that the media types are "Undf". When I attempt to open or modify the files with flvtool2 I get an end-of-file error. My guess is that my stop command is incorrect and somehow abruptly stopping the stream, but I don't know another way to stop the stream. Do I need to specify a specific stream duration in the XML and make sure to call the stop command *after* the duration has been reached? What would cause this codec corruption when the same profile works properly from the GUI?

AFAIK, after placing stop command, FMLE took some time to write proper EOF in FLV. wait ~10 sec for FMLE to complete file writing process and than play in FLV PLayer.

I am trying to free my Mac book for space in oredr to upgrade. Everytime i try to empty the deleted items in the trash, it starts and stops immediately without clearing the items. How do i achieve this?
I had the same problem yesterday with an application file that was deleted after installation of an update. I used "Put Back" to move it back to its original location, then used "Show Package Contents" to delete/empty trash for small groups of files at a time. I suppose the application file itself may have been too large to empty at one time. I hope this helps.

Batch file to start and stop services
I've setup a CF Probe on my Development Server to ensure my
CF Production server is up and running (services = Apache and CF
Application Server). It checks the PROD login page and if it times
out in 30 sec the probe fails. I understand I can execute a file
(batch file with net start and net stop) but the problem is I need
to have the probe somehow point to the .bat file on the PROD server
and not on the local machine. How can I remotely access this batch
file and execute it? I don't know how to point to the file on the

and stop services.
i used the psexec command and am able to successfully restart
the services needed remotely... however when i pick the file in the
coldfusion administrator (in the probes section) how to i point to
the batch file to run? it seems like the probe is not running the
script like i want... the file is located on the c:\ so i entered
c:\test2.bat...

You should review the online help in the cfadmin for probes
and the links it points you to in the developer's guide. Basically
you need to define a new probe in the cfadmin by clicking the
"Define New Probe" button. One of the probe's attributes will be
what action. Define the action as a program and point it at a batch
file running psexec. You will probably need to run CFMX as a
specific user and not as localsystem, which is the default. -
I have produced a number of DVD on my iMac. They are stored in a folder called Burn Folder. I want to get them into iTunes so I can play them on Apple TV. I have tried to convert them to MP4s using Handbrake but Handbrake does not recognize these files. I am stumped.
If you have the original movie files, you'd be much better converting those, otherwise try MPEGstreamclip.

Greetings, I am working in Final Cut Pro 7. In the timeline some clips show as offline. I tried going to sequence and reconnecting to media but it does not work. I can still see the video in the timeline and work with it. It just has the red box. Thanks! Olga
If the clips are not actually missing, you could try to refresh the timeline by using cmd-0 and then going to the timeline options tab. Then select name only where it says "thumbnail display". Press ok to accept the change, then repeat the process to add thumbnails back to your timeline.

Gstreamer fails to play *some* .mp4 videos
Gstreamer is no longer able to play *some* .mp4 videos. Just until recently
(possibly update) that worked fine for me. I will appretiate any help with resolving this problem.
Videos concerning were downloaded from Youtube via the Firefox DownloadHelper,
so I suspect some of them to use some non-standard format feature. Also
ffmpeg-ing videos to other or same format works and converted videos can be
played by Gstreamer without problems.
This is the only download video I was able to confirm Gstreamer can still play:

I tried to import a video into iMovie. Its says their is not enough space on the destination disk. I deleted many projects, and events. Nothing changed. What files do I delete and how?
Hard drive full or near full:
You are going to have to delete, move or archive your data to regain hard drive space.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Other things you can do to gain space.
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive older emails you want to save.
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Uninstall apps that you no longer use. If the app has a dedicated uninstaller, use it to completely uninstall the app. If the app has no uninstaller, then just drag it to the OS X Trash icon and empty the Trash.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its thing initially, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run all of the processes in the tabs. Let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be moved, also, to the external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
You may have to Purchase an external FireWire or Thunderbolt hard drive to move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.

8mm to CD to imovie6 to DVD. What about the fps?
Old 8mm film was digitized to disk (no details), I ripped the disks with MPEG Streamclip plus the QT plug-in. Next I imported to iMovieHD6 and built the 90 minute,35GB, SDV movie. The questions are: 1. Would the original film have been shot at 23.975
