I'm using Firefox 3.6.23 on my windows 2000 and lately i've been having issues with web pages loading and need help figuring out why.
Some of the issues : '''1'''. Page loads blank showing web address in tab. Try reloading usually with no results.(problem have the most!) '''2'''. Message appears "problem loading page, server not found" (diff times & diff websites). '''3.''' Try this.
Type in the address bar about:config.
Accept the warning.
In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections. Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
Close that page. Restart the browser.

Had to remove it for the last & final time. I love & miss my Firefox, but can't take the chance of someone getting into my system. Your firewall may not recognize the new version of Firefox; it is just doing its job. I am facing multiple issue while using orkut on mozilla firefox 3.6.13.
I have windows 7 ultimate edition installed on my laptop.
First issue is while i using orkut in firefoz, most of the time chat window will not referesh (as webpage refresh) and all the contact of chat window will get disappear (blank) from there.
second issue is sometimes logout page will get disppear from webpage and that time we are not able to get there while refreshing the page also.
Please suggest...Well, the computer stopped starting up at all. It could never find the operating system. I tried safe mode and virtually every other non-standard start-up option. I then did target disk mode with another MBP and got the message: "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." I then tried using disk utility and it couldn't retrieve retrieve the data using restore (writing to an external drive). I suspect that this means the hard drive would need to be replaced. In your expert opinions, is this necessarily true? Could this still be just a software problem, or perhaps some other piece of hardware?
Part of the reason I ask is that this laptop is now nearly five years old. It's needed a new battery for two years. If it's a virtual certainty that the hard drive is toast, I don't want to pay $150 for someone to take it out and try to recover any remaining data from it, only to reveal that the data is indeed irretrievable (since the computer itself is probably only worth $300-400 at this point). The nearest Genius Bar is also more than 2 hours away. Am I going about this the right way by using disk utility, given that the hard drive won't mount to the desktop of the other computer? If the hard drive can't be reat in target disk mode, does that confirm that it is the hard drive?

Oh also, it does still make the startup noise, even though I can't run the AHT since I can't get it to start up in safemode. I thought this mean that it passing various hardware tests. Does this not apply to the hard drive?

Prob with web pages loading w. Chrome and Firefox
I am having problems with Google Chrome and Mozilla FireFox completely loading some internet pages. I have to hit the refresh button over and over and sometimes that does not even work. I have cleared all of the browswer history and that was not effective. I have a Mac Book Pro purchased around April of 2010. I thought it may be an internet prob in my house but I have no issues with streaming video or downloading anything. Any help would be appreciated. I have not tested it on a hard wire conneection, only wireless.

Me and my brother have been messing with Assistive Touch on and off since iOS 5 canme out. We been noticing that when we actually move to use the home button, sometimes it doesnt respond. Though I'm all for thinking my home button my be on the fritz, it wouldnt explain how mine and my brother suddenly have issues with our home buttons at the same time. Both of us had a time where the home button didnt respond at all. and its been intermittent ever since. Anybody that has an answer or another case like this I' d like some information
Reset Home button steps:
(1) Tap Settings App, when it is open:
(2) Hold Power button until "slide to power off" bar appears.
(3) Don't slide it, release power button.
(4) Gently, continuously press Home button for few seconds until home screen appears.
(5) Done.
If this does not help, further points to Hardware Problem. -
I try to click on the games or other users names or anything that opens another link and it crashes. This has been happening off and on for about a month but has gotten regular in the last 4 or 5 days. Anybody have any ideas?? Also, it seems that Firefox has affected Adobe. I am having lots of issues in the last few weeks but when I use Windows I'm OK????
i have the same problem with the above..firefox is running too slow with the games in facebook..but it runs good when browsing my updates, msgs, photos...firefox is totally opposite of IE..IE is faster with the games and slow while browsing..i love to use mozila but when i do games it really pisses me off...hope you could help me..

When Firefox seems to hang, I usually cannot do anything else but wait until the process has completed whatever it is doing. I am reasonably sure it is a firefox process as it is reported by the wait state analysis.
It would help to know more about your iMac.
What year, screen size, CPU speed and amount of RAM installed?
How full is your Mac's hard drive?
How many applications do you run simultaneously in the background while working in another application?
Do you run any antivirus software on your Mac? Antivirus software can slow down the normal operation of OS X.
Do you run any "crapware" like Mackeeper or any other type of so called hard drive "cleaning" apps?
Have you downloaded and installed anything recently that might have caused the erratic behaviour of your iMac? -
Help - I need to retain more than 2-3 days of email for work. There used to be functionaility on settings to enaure I retained alot of my emails, I cant find this functionality anywhere anymore
What type of account is this, POP, IMAP, Exchange? If Exchange, one of the options is to determine the number of mail days to sync. The setting may have changed, but you can set it to 1-3 days, 1-2 weeks, or 1 month. POP accounts do not have this function at all, and I don't have an IMAP account, so I cannot confirm that. Does this answer your question?

I have always preferred Firefox, but am getting quite annoyed when I click on Google links and don't get to the site. I thought maybe the sites were down, but then started pasting into IE and actually getting something. For example, today I clicked on a link from Harry and David to redeem a free magazine subscription to Food & Wine. I tried it multiple times, then tried it with IE and it worked right away. I don't know if it is just the latest version of Firefox, this seems to have been happening more and more for a while.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

I need help figuring out how to use my print screen key
I have an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv7-1245. The key is above the num lock key - it has "home" which works when I press it but under that it has "prt sc" but I don't know what to hit along with it to make it work. I tried the shift key, the alt key, the fn key and nothing works. I even looked in the manual and those keys above the num lock key are not even referenced.

Having issues with PC gaming and my Linksys AC1900 router! (What settings should I be using?)
Well I recently purchased a linksys AC1900 for a better/faster connection with my internet. Sadly, I have been having issues with online gaming. I am attempting to play a blizzard game (Diablo 3) but its not letting my connect. I did a direct wired connection and it worked just perfect. However, I dont want to play in my garage...lol. Does anyone have any ideas what settings I should be using? It lets me connect to battlenet but when my character loads into the world I get disconnected. I tried opening ports, shutting off uPnP, and various other things. Is the the router or is it me? Someone please help!
I got confused with your response. If you are still having the same challenge, make sure you have enough speed to play any online game. You may also try to reboot your PC and the router. If the result is the same, check if the firmware is up to date. You may try to manually update it on the Linksys Smart WiFi page. Here's how. Once accomplished, reset, reboot, and reconfigure the router. I hope this helps!

Web pages load slowly using Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.
Web pages are loading slowly now on my mid-2008 iMac 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo.
Doesn't seem to matter if I use Safari v5.1.10, Firefox v29.0.1, or Chrome v34.0.1847.131.
