I must have made some change to my Pages preferences.
I am working on a book using Pages (iWork 09). I have had no problem with opening two Pages documents I have created and have then both display on the desktop. I readjust their sizes and they sit there side by side. I don't remember making any changes to any preferences. Just recently, whenever I open the first document and it pops onto the desktop. Great. Now, when I go to open the second document that I want to sit right beside the first document, the second document opens okay but the first document that I opened "zips" off the desktop. What have I done wrong? I know I must have made some inadvertent change because I have been doing this (putting both documents side by side ) for months.

Made some changes to my pending order by phone
I called and made some changes to a pending order I had made online but the changes do not reflect on my verizon account. The pending order on my account still shows the original order. Should I wait a little longer for the changes to be reflected, as the installation of the service is on the 29th? or should I call to confirm that the changes have been made?

Why does File- Export process jpgs where I have made no changes?
Hi, I'm new to Lightroom. I would like to make LR my photo management software of choice for managing my huge personal collection of photographs. I've flagged keepers and tagged photos accordingly: Food, people names, etc.
What I would like to do now is find all photos marked with the tag "JapanVacation2009" and export them to disk so I can bring them to a friend's house and share them. When I click File->Export, I see that even though I've make tone and exposure changes to less than 1% of my my photos, LR reprocesses every photo!
What I want is that for photos where I have made some kind of change, yes, please process and create the new version of the photo. For photos where I have made no change except for adding tags, please, please, just copy the file into the export directory!!! It's faster AND I really didn't want my photos reprocessed.
I am sitting here waiting for these files to be exported (reprocessed)-- this is taking forever! I generally take my photos in jpg because I'm really going to make very few changes to my photos-- I know that I could take them in RAW, but I find this inconvenient for my workflow.
Please help. If I can't find a resolution, I'm going to have to investigate something like Picasa.
LR gurus, what do I do???Folders are irrelevant to LR as an organisational tool. LR will search, create collections or smart collections based on whatever criteria you set.It is a very quick and effective organisational tool once you have learnt how to use it.
When exporting from LR to a lossy format such as a jpg if the file is already compressed and you re compress it then this will result in further loss of quality. That is always the case when using JPGs. If you export at 100% ( no further compression) then no loss of quality will occur due to compression, but obviously re processing a processed 8 bit format such as a JPG will always result in some quality loss. If you have made no changes to the original JPG in LR and then export it at 100% then LR just produces a copy of the original and no loss of quality will occur. JPG should really be treated as a finished format and no further processing applied. If you wish to process your images then retain the RAW file, or if scanning, scan to a 16 bit file such as TIFF to minimise any quality loss as a result of processing.
Exporting times are very quick from LR as long as your machine is well set up and has enough RAM. 600 images with few changes dependent on the size of the image would only usually take a few minutes to export to a disk dependent on the speed of the disk. Obviously if you are exporting to a slow hard drive, to things like DVD's and CD's, have little RAM or lots of other applications running in the background this can slow things down, there are lots of tips around here and elsewhere on how to set up your computer to get the best out of LR. -
I can no longer use my mail, only can access through icloud. I have made no changes or updates to create this problem. TWC did take over my internet provider and suddenly I started have a myriad of issues. I am in the process of changing providers to ATT because TWC does not support Safari.
How does TWC not support Safari? (They're lying)

Hi, While writing an email online using Firefox 3.6.3, I was using one of the "CTRL+left or right arrow" to move the cursor along the text. I must have pressed some other key because the display has become huge - and I can't scroll vertically or horizontally, which makes using the Mail pages of Hotmail impossible. I have since logged in using MSFT Explorer and it works fine. This problem occurs only on the Mail page of Hotmail Live not on the home page or others.
Could you please let me know if this is a problem with Firefox, or if you have any advice on how to reset the appearance of Hotmail in Firefox?

How do I stop pop up that asks me, Do you want to save changes to doc... before closing? I have made no changes only printed the file. Using Adobe Reader DC, Windows 7 64 bit.
This is very annoying and we need this stopped as we have made no changes to any of the adobe files. Please advise how to do this.
Customer Service DCCI first tried the version without the deflated stream (so everything uncompressed) against the online repair tool to check/analyse it @ https://www.pdf-tools.com/osa/repair.aspx
And it says no error found, but the reader still want to save it when closing so i still had no clue at this point.
Fortunately, i finally found what was wrong with my generated PDF.
In my xref table, each object reference was not end by a full EOL, i only did put a newline char.
Now i have "carriage return" "newline" which is the full EOL and the reader is happy and close the file silently.
As suspected i did not follow correctly the specs on xref table
Now i'll go and figure what i did wrong with the deflate filter

Have made some slide show libraries on publisher then saved as jpg however when I sync through itunes to my ipad the previous import is over written. Can anyone offer a solution. Thanks
I have tried much of the same - still no joy.
I also reported it as a bug to Apple although the response page said "we can't reply to messages"
For now I have had to turn off auto syncing and keep plugging and unplugging until the device is recognised correctly - about 1 in 10.
In my email to apple I also listed the contents of the xml file that keeps track of the devices that iTunes has seen:

when I try to go back a page on a spicific site, it won't allow it on firefox, I can on IE but seldom use it, why? I have made numerous changes to security and other settings but to no end. I can screen capture the event and send it to anyone, to see what is wrong. the capture says that the page expired and is no longer available and to resend it. however that happens immediately in time when trying to back up.

the program.Expression Web 4 is a professional website design program. As such, you must be familiar with the basics of HTML, CSS, and server/hosting technologies. If you use any other technologies in your site, you must also be conversant in them. And you need to learn
the correct terms. One doesn't "lift" a file from the server. You use the Publishing feature and FTP to transfer files in both directions.
I say that only in order to set your expectations. EW4 is not a new version of Front Page. There is very limited backwards compatability for a few things from FP, but EW4 will absolutely trash the layout of any FP site that used the shared borders feature
to apply standard layouts.
All the information you are asking for is already available, so we can't re-type it here.
Look in the EW Help files for information on Publishing and look in the Forum FAQ Learning Resources section for tutorials on how to use EW (start with the by-expressions.com one--it's for a previous version of the program, so some menu items have moved,

I was making some changes to my header file. I did not like the results of the changes, so I changed them back. When I did make the change back, I lost the ability to edit the page.
Unfortunately, a picture of the code is not useful.
The best way for us to help is if you put a copy of your problem page on a server and post a link for us.

All emails in yahoo somehow disappeared from view. Unaware, I made some change.
My yahoo email was normal until the left vertical page bar came into view. I moved it all the way to left hiding inbox outbox, Trash etc.
Trying to correct this, I inadvertently clicked something unknown
that hid all my emails from view. The emails are still there, I just can't figure out what to do to bring them back visibly to my email page. Computer shows that I made a change, but doesn't tell me what change I made.Most likely the now missing mail files were not in the PCV archive in the first place (for whatever reason).
I do not use MozBackup, but I believe a user can (or has to) choose what items are to be included in the backup.
