I need a program that i can alter(not copy... read on)

Question

I am a full time student with a lot of time on my hands.... My assignment calls for me to ".... find a reasonably complex Java program and copy it and get it running. Then modify it as much as you can........."
This is all good and fine, but wait.........I don't know which program i should borrow. so i am open to suggestions, the original author will be credited within my assignment. I am a first year java student, but i have a working knowledge of basic, C++and Pascal.....

Let me give you a program that takes in a string which has some items that are comma delimited and then parses the string on the basis of the delimiter, takes out only the non-repeating strings and writes it out.
This is not a very complex program, but will give you one if you request again.
