I need to extract some basic data from image files and put it into a spreadsheet.

Hi.
I'm looking for I believe is a simple task but I am not sure how to go about it. I want to get the relevant data (seen in the screen grab below) into a spread sheet. I need to get the File Name, Size, Dimensions, Resolution and Kind into the spreadsheet so I can better analyze the data for my purposes. I have tried to find EXIF and IPTC extractors but only come across products that show me the info with no way of transferring it. I figured there must be a way to do this in the Finder. Maybe it's a simple Automator task (which I am not very good at) or a Script.
Can anyone guide me thru or suggest a tool that would work?

Most certainly it is not a feature of iPhoto for the Mac

and the reason that LarryHN mentioned iPhoto is that you posted your question in the iPhoto for Mac forum
There has to be a way to get that metadata into a text file and then transfer it to the spreadsheet.

So that i can tokenize it with a delimeter(^) and get the values. Here how to append the datas in this form in Example3.txt. Eventhough u use FileWriter with append "true" as a parameter how they will apend like the Example3.txt file? Please do provide an answer for this..Since this is very urgent to be delivered...Expecting postive response.

Reading data in XML files and outputting information into xl spreadsheet

Can anyone help??? i want to read an XML file, and after reading the file, store certain data into a XL speadsheet. i am new to all this and dont know where to start. Can anyone provide me with coded examples or links to certain sites that can provide me with examples. I would be very grateful, thanks!!!

you will either have to use a third party toolkit or develop your own for this purpose. In case you develop your own, please be kind to share it with me ;)
I am not sure about the free ones. But Sitraka is know for developing such kits. For instance you may use sitraka's JClass which will be more then what you need. I guess JClass is free for evaluation, but you have to pay them after that.

If the files are small, you can load the target file in a DOM document, insert the data from the source file and persist the DOM.
If the files are large, you probably want to use a StAX or SAX.

I have following requirement.
I would like to read data from XML file and populate the data in ViewObject so that the data can be displayed in the ADF UI.
Also when user modifies the data in the ADF UI, it should be modified back into to ViewObject.
Here is an example - XML file contains Book Title and Author. I would like to read Book Title and Author from XML file and set it into ViewObject Attribute and then display Book title and Author in ADF UI page. Also when user modifies Book title and Author, I would like to store it back in View Object.
Please help me with this requirement and let me know if any solution exist in ADF, for populating the ADF UI screen fields with external XML file data.

There is a bit of confusion in the way you explain what you want... more on that in a minute. Whatever the scenario is, you are allowed to have the software installed and working on two machines, so if you like you can leave the original installation intact as a backup and just install on the new machine like you did originally.
Back to the confusion... You say "unsubscribe" which would be associated with the Creative Cloud. You say "creative suite" which would not be a subscription (I think they stopped CS subscriptions when the Cloud came into being). So if you have a Cloud subscription you would sign out of it on the old machine if you no longer want it there. Then you could uninstall if you like. If you have a licensed Creative Suite then you would open any one of the applications in it and choose Help -> Deactivate. Then you could uninstall if you like.

If your computer is on one minute before it freezes, than you have one minute to secure your serial number.
click the apple----->click about this Mac ------> click on version----> until you see the serial number. You may have to do this a couple of times if it freezes before you have all the numbers. A camera might help.

i can explain you to read data from Excel file
First You have to download the jxl.jar file. You can get this file from the Below site

It will be in Compressed Fromat So Unzip it to get the Contents
After Unzipping The File You will get a Folder (jexcelapi/jxl.jar)
Now in NWDS open web dynpro explorer, Right Click Your Project, a popup menu will appear and in that click Properties
You will get window displaying your Project Properties
On Left Side of the window You Will Find "Java Build Path"
Click That "Java Build Path" and you will get 4 Tabs Showing ( Source,Projects,Libraries,Order and Export)
Click Libraries Tab
You will find options many options buttons
In that click the Button "Add External Jars"
You will get Window in order to fecth the jxl.jar file from the location you had stored
After selecting the jxl.jar i will get displayed and click ok
Now Open Navigator
Open Your Project
You will find Lib folder
Copy the jxl.jar to that lib folder
Note : You cannot Read the Content from the excel file directly
First You Have to copy that file to the Server,
And from the Server you can get the file absolute path
With the absolute path you can read the contents of the Excel file
You have to save the Excel file as .xls Format and Not as xlsx format i will not accept that...
