I need to get into the Bios of my p6112p, when I hit F10 it says entering the configurat​ion &doesnt?

I have a hp p6112p that was stuck by lightning. I had to replace the motherboard to get the power supply to turn on. The computer then goes to the Bios start up screen and when you hit F10 it say entering the configuration but never does just stay on the same screen. I replaced the CPU. Same problem. I had my hard drives tested and both are ok. I was told by the company that I purchased the MB from that my memory most likely wasnt compadible. I have tried super talent, g.skill, & acer and no memory worked. I called the company I got the MB again and he said it isnt a defective MB because I and getting to the start up of the Bios screen. He still says its the memory and that Its not like I am a computer store were I have 20 different brands I can try until I find one thats compadible. Can somebody PLEASE HELP ME???? I really am at witts end! Thanks

Hello reblthepit, HP systems are a bit picky about what memory will work in a HP system.
You might want to go to Crucial.com and run their memory configurator and let Crucial advise the memory that is certified compatible with your system. This takes the guessing out of trying to purchase memory that is supported for your system.
Just because the motherboard will boot the start of the bIOS does not neccessarily tell you a lot. If you had some memory issues, and no memory was recognized by the BIOS, you would be getting some beep error codes.
If the motherboard was not a genuine HP Provided motherboard, it will not work with the HP provided operating system. You would need to purchase a new operating system.
You also could not just replace the motherboard and try to start the system without a new installation of the operating system. There would just be too many driver conflicts.

  • RocketRaid 2322, cant get into card bios or change settings

    I have a RocketRaid 2322 with an 8bay eSata enclosure. I setup the raid arrays through the OS as I couldnt get into the bios. I now have failed drives and need to get into the cards bios but it seems the Mac does not recognize the keyboard until its past the card initializing. Is there any way to get into the card bios?

    You don't need to restart your computer to open Firefox again: you just need to close it manually through your application manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in Processes tab). Anyway, hopefully this support article is what you need:

    What's probably happening is that you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

  • Need to get into Oracle 8i database and don't have credentials

    I need to get into an old Oracle 8i database running on Windows 2000 server. I have very limited experience with Oracle. No one who worked with this system is still employed by the company. I'm in the admin & Oracle DBA groups and have tried using
    sqlplus <username>/<password> as sysdba
    but I get TNS:protocol adaptor error. Oracle services are all running. If I could get in and export the data to a SQL Server machine, I'd be ok. Can anybody assist?

    You must be using Remote Desktop of Mickeysoft to connect to the server.
    You need to start a cmd window and issue
    set local=<servicename in tnsnames.ora>
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
    and this should work.

I downloaded this app when it was free and put it into ONE configurator account, but I now want to put it into the other account on the other MacBook. I understand I need to pay for the app and get codes, however as it is already downloaded into my VPP iTunes, it comes up as downloaded and I don't know how to redeem codes or pay for it?     You need to be running Mac OS X 10.5 or newer to get iTunes 10. This OS version won't run on a G3.
    Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 are available on DVD. Mac OS X 10.6 requires an Intel Mac.

    I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

    Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

    This is iMessages, not an SMS/MMS, and this means the same Apple ID is registered for iMessage on each iPhone.
    You or your daughter need to activate your own Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime. The same Apple ID can continue to be shared for iTunes store downloads - for music and apps.
    On the iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.   Select the Apple ID at the top and sign out.   Sign in with the new Apple ID.
    Make sure the same email address is not available below You can be reached by iMessage at on each iPhone.

    You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.

    Are you being prevented booting into your MBP due to the HDD being full?  If so try a a safe boot:

    Or take out the HDD and install it in an enclosure.  Connect it to another Mac and take some data off of it so that you can boot to it when you re-install it.
