I need to pass PERNR to Feature GBPGL (PE03)

Hi,
We are using feature GBPGL and as part of decision tree we need the PERNR value.
PERNR is not one of the fields in PME02 which is used by the feature GBPGL. I have therefore appended structure PME02 with the PERNR field and have added this successfully to the decision tree i.e:
000010                                  D     ABKRS
000020     10           D     PERNR
000030     10 00440070                 &GBPGL=01.06.2009,
000040     10 ********                 &GBPGL=01.05.2009,
When it hits pernr 440070 it should return date 01.06.2009, however although the ABKRS field is filled, the PERNR field has no value. Thus, when the feature is run for pernr 440070 it goes to line 40 (above) and returns a date of 01.05.2009.
The data is correct in that I have an absence for the period in which I am running the payroll calculation.
I need to know how to pass the value in PERNR to my feature?

GBPGL uses PME02 and that structure don't have perner field,
I have couple of questions,
How did you appended structure PME02 ? did you make any changes in the standard?
When you already have ABKRS what is the need of perner there?
Best Regards,
JR

  • Pass pernr to WebDynro

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement in which I need to pass PERNR from MSS team viewer to my Z WDA application.
    I have tried the steps mentioned in the followin thread, but I am not able to get the value of PERNR to my Z application.
    Pass pernr to WebDynro
    Please help me with the requirement.
    Regards,
    Pranay

    Hi,
    as the note stated.
    inside your z wd application subscribe to the portalevent  like this
    DATA lo_api_component  TYPE REF TO if_wd_component.
    DATA lo_portal_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_portal_integration.
    DATA lo_api_controller  type ref to if_wd_view_controller.
      lo_api_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
    lo_api_component = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
    lo_portal_manager = lo_api_component->get_portal_manager( ).
    lo_portal_manager->subscribe_event(
        portal_event_namespace = 'urn:com.sap.mss.employeesearch'
        portal_event_name      = 'selection_changed'
        view                   = lo_api_controller
        action                 = 'mss_emp_selected'
    mss_emp_selected is a action , should be defined in the View.
    Edit the ONACTIONESS_EMP_SELECTED method and insert the following 3 parameters as optional  importing parameters.
    PORTAL_EVENT_NAME
    PORTAL_EVENT_NAMESPACE
    PORTAL_EVENT_PARAMETER
    The portal_event_parameter string contains the following information
    Plan variant (2 characters)
    Object type: (2 characters)
    Start date of the object: (8 characters in the format yyyyMMdd)
    End date of the object: (8 characters in the format yyyyMMdd)
    Object ID: (remainder of the parameter string)
    Example value would be "01P 200706012007123108154711".
    Split the string accordingly and get the employee ID 08154711, use it for your employee data retrieval.

  • Need to pass in line charges when cancel order line using API?

    Hi,
    Do we need to pass in line charges (charges, freight cost) when cancel order line using Oe_Order_Pub.Process_Order API?

    I found the answer to my own question:
    Yes it is a supported feature. It is documented on the following page:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/desktop/NativeApp lication.html#event:invoke
    When you subscribe to the invoke event of the NativeApplication it will subsequently dispatch the event and you read the e.arguments Array object to get the startup arguments passed into the native application.

  • Help Needed in passing parameter to cryst report

    Hello everyone, I am trying to create a report for a single record and as such am trying to pass parameters to a crystal report but I am not sure exactly how to do this. This is my own method that I am employeeing. I do not want to create a data table and put all the info I need in there and then base a report off of it. I do not want to deal with loops and arrays right now. I just want to pass for example parameter JuvenileID = 1 to my crystal report, then create a command under the database expert and set the parameter for my command to the parameter I passed my crystal report. How would I go about in doing this? I am using VS 2010 C#. This is a windows application. I have a dataentry form that is already populated with the info needed for the report. I just need to pass all the controls.text values to the report and populate it that way.

    I'm not sure if I fully understand the issue, but since you have all the data you need in a data entry form that is already populated, why don't you simple create an ADO .NET Dataset and pass that to the report? Much easier to implement, faster execution with the small amount of data you have and less code.
    Dataset sample app is here:

    System.out.println("\nEstablishing Connection - Pls Wait... \n");
    /** Get Info fr database**/
    try

         System.out.println("Connection Established.\n");
         //Create a SELECT statement object
         Statement statmt = con.createStatement();
         //Issue the SELECT statement
         String querySt = "SELECT Set, Name, Order " +
         "FROM PMETERS " +
         "WHERE Set = 'BRAKE.BAK' ";
         //Create and execute query
         ResultSet res = statmt.executeQuery(querySt);
           while (res.next())
                String Proj = res.getString(1); //get Proj Name
              String Task = res.getString(2); //get Task Name
              //Print statement
              System.out.println("" +Proj);
              System.out.println("" +Task);
           //Close Statement and Connection
         statmt.close();

    System.out.println("Error:" +E );
    }And yes there is another problem. I can compile and run the program in a C:\folder but when i open the document in a project workspace, i cant compile the above code. Can any one please offer me assistance?
    Thanks a million.

    To NanookOITheNorth:
    Could you provide some more relevent information
    about what the other program is and how data should
    be transferred to it? API? Socket? File?was wanted to use the "return task" thing. Issit possible to use that?

    Hi Abdul,
    Sorry for my unprecise answer, but you talk about a tcode, but you're using a BAPI Call. Maybe you want to call the transaction in batch mode?

    Certainly it is unusual that you can still see the tables available in your MS Access database but cannot see the columns? I am assuming you are configuring an Open Statement step and are trying to use the ring-control to select columns from your table?
    Can you tell me more about the changes you made to your file when you 'changed' it with MS Access? What version of Access are you using? What happens if you try and manually type in an 'Open Statement Dialog's SQL string such as...
    "SELECT UUT_RESULT.TEST_SOCKET_INDEX, UUT_RESULT.UUT_STATUS, UUT_RESULT.START_DATE_TIME FROM UUT_RESULT"
    Is it able to find the columns even if it can't display them? I am worried that maybe you are using a version of MS Access that is too new for the version of TestSt
    and you are running. Has anything else changed aside from the file you are editing?

  • Why do I need to pass params. to getConnection when using OracleDataSource?

    Hi,
    I've been experimenting with Tomcat 5.5 and using Oracle proxy sessions. After many false starts, I finally have something working, but I have a question about some of the code.
    My setup:
    In <catalina_home>/conf/server.xml I have this section:
    <Context path="/App1" docBase="App1"
    debug="5" reloadable="true" crossContext="true">
    <Resource name="App1ConnectionPool" auth="Container"
    type="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource"
    driverClassName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
    factory="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory"
    url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@127.0.0.1:1521:oddjob"
    username="app1" password="app1" maxActive="20" maxIdle="10"/>
    </Context>
    In my App directory, web.xml has:
    <resource-ref>
    <description>DB Connection</description>
    <res-ref-name>App1ConnectionPool</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    And finally, my java code:
    package web;
    import oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource;
    import oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleConnection;
    import javax.naming.*;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.Statement;
    import java.util.Properties;
    public class ConnectionPool {
    String message = "Not Connected";
    public void init() {
    OracleConnection conn = null;
    ResultSet rst = null;
    Statement stmt = null;
    try {
    Context initContext = new InitialContext();
    Context envContext = (Context) initContext.lookup("java:/comp/env");
    OracleDataSource ds = (OracleDataSource) envContext.lookup("App1ConnectionPool");
    message = "Here.";
    if (envContext == null)
    throw new Exception("Error: No Context");
    if (ds == null)
    throw new Exception("Error: No DataSource");
    if (ds != null) {
    message = "Trying to connect...";
    conn = (OracleConnection ) ds.getConnection("app1","app1");
    Properties prop = new Properties();
    prop.put("PROXY_USER_NAME", "xxx/yyy");
    if (conn != null) {
    message = "Got Connection " + conn.toString() + ", ";
              conn.openProxySession(OracleConnection.PROXYTYPE_USER_NAME,prop);
    stmt = conn.createStatement();
    //rst = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT 'Success obtaining connection' FROM DUAL");
    rst = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT count(*) from sch_header");
    if (rst.next()) {
    message = "# of NJ schools: " + rst.getString(1);
    rst.close();
    rst = null;
    stmt.close();
    stmt = null;
    conn.close(); // Return to connection pool
    conn = null; // Make sure we don't close it twice
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    } finally {
    // Always make sure result sets and statements are closed,
    // and the connection is returned to the pool
    if (rst != null) {
    try {
    rst.close();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    rst = null;
    if (stmt != null) {
    try {
    stmt.close();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    stmt = null;
    if (conn != null) {
    try {
    conn.close();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    conn = null;
    public String getMessage() {
    return message;
    My question concerns this line of code:
    conn = (OracleConnection ) ds.getConnection("app1","app1");
    Why do I need to pass in the user name/password? Other examples, that I see simply have:
    conn = (OracleConnection ) ds.getConnection();
    But when I use this code, I get the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: invalid arguments in call

    ... more follows, but I trimmed to keep posting shorter :-)
    Is there anyway that I can avoid having to pass the user/password to getConnection()? It seems that I should be able to control the user/password used to establish the connection pool directly in the server.xml file and not have to supply it again in my java code. In earlier experiments when I was using "import java.sql.*" and using it's DataSource, I can use getConnection() without having to pass user/password, but then the Oracle Proxy methods don't work.
    I'm a java newbie so I guess that I should be happy that I finally figured out how to get proxy connections working. However it seems that I am missing something and I want this code to be as clean as possible.
    If anyone can point me to a better method of using connection pools and proxy sessions, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Alan

    Hi,
    Thanks for the replies.
    Avi, I'm not really sure what you are getting at with the setConnectionProperties. I looked at the javadoc and saw that I can specify user/password, but since I'm using a connection pool, shouldn't my Datasource already have that information?
    Maro, your comment about not having set the user/password for the Datasource is interesting. Are you referring to setting it in the server.xml configuration file? As you can see I did specify it in addition to setting the URL. In my code example, I'm not having to respecify the URL, but maybe I have a typo in my config file that is causing the username/password not to be read properly??
    The other weird thing is that I would have expected to see a pool of connections for user App1 in V$SESSION, but I see nothing. If I use a utility to repeatedly call a JSP page that makes use of my java example, then I do see v$session contain brief sessions for App1 and ADAVEY (proxy). The response time of the JSP seems much quicker than I would have expected if there wasn't some sort of physical connection already established though. Maybe this is just more evidence of not having my server.xml configured properly?
    Thanks.

    The correct way to handle this is to use bind variables.
    And use DBMS_XMLGEN instead of DBMS_XMLQUERY :
    create or replace procedure temp (

    , p_from_date    in date
    , p_through_date in date
    is
      l_xml   CLOB;
      l_query VARCHAR2(2000);
      l_ctx   dbms_xmlgen.ctxHandle;
    begin
      l_query:=  'SELECT
        a.s_datetime DATETIME,
        a.downdate Ending_date,
        a.downtime Ending_time,
        TO_CHAR(ROUND(a.downusage,3),''9999999.000'') kWh_Usage,
        TO_CHAR(ROUND(a.downcost,2),''$9,999,999.00'') kWh_cost,

  • Re: Help needed in passing values from workflow to Approve Forms

    Dear Experts,
    how do I pass values from a workflow to a step (Form) - approve form?
    I am using a customized table structure as my data source (FORMCONTAINERELEMENT) but am stuck on how to access the data when i get to to the screen painter's flow logic... What am i missing? Can you give me a step by step example. the ones i see on the net are input fields that update the screen... nothing that shows value being passed from the outside.
    I need to pass an exisitng value in the workflow into the form for approval of the the assigned agent.
    Please help!!
    Thank you.

    Hello !
             Create a method just before the form step.This method should populate the values for the fields maintained in the form.
             Pass the values populated from this method to your customized table structure (data source).In other words, you have to pass all the values to the workflow container.
            To the step, pass this workflow container by binding.In the control tab of form step, you have to do the binding.

  • Need to Pass filename for archived file to FTP adapter using SynchRead

    Hi
    I am archiving the source file which i am reading using an FTP adapter, Operation- SynchRead.
    In my case as the source filename is dynamic( abc_<timestamp>.xml) hence before the SynchRead, I am using a FTP List adapter to get the filename.
    Currently,the archived file is getting name in pattern: encryptedToken_yyyymmdd_hhmmss.(e.g. wQ2c3w7Cj7Y6irWnRKqEu77_jD7kLtj6Uc0QCZIyjC4=_20121122_012453_0305)
    I need to pass the sourceFilename(which i am getting from FTPList adapter) for the archived file also.
    Thanks in advance for the help!
    Regards,
    Achal

    Hi Neeraj,
    While trying the above alternative, i am facing an issue when my source file is a .csv file. The file is getting recreated with the original filename and file content but without header.
    As per the requirement i need the original file to be recreated. The header of .csv file has the field names.
    Please let me know how should i configure my FTP adapter to read the header of the .csv file as well.
    Thanks,
    Achal

  • Mapping Problem.. I Need to pass Unique value everytime to Target filed.

    Hi All,
    I need to pass some unique value everytime the message processed to the target field.
       Source filed ---> Target Field
    can anyone has the UDF to generate like this.. ?
    I heard that through RFCLookup we can do that.. by maintaing some table and taking 2 parameters one as input and one as output and everytime when the message processes it will add by one to the previous value and pass to the target field.
    I dont know much about these lookups..
    Can anyone through some light on this, how i can solve this issue.??
    Waiting for your answers.
    Thanks&Regards
    Deepthi.

    Hi Liang,
    That's my exact issue.Please let me know when you find the solution.
    Actually i tried with some UDF.. its generating unique values whenever mapping is executed.But when we Reboot the system we found that its reinitializing again from "1".
    So definetly we need to maintain the count in some database and system has to update evytime according to that.
    Iam trying something by calling RFC from UDF and updating the Ztable by incrementing everytime.
    I wil let you know if i find any solution..
    Meanwhile anyone wants to suggest me... Please respond.
    Thanks
    Deepthi.
