     AllowOverride None
     PlsqlDatabaseUsername HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER
     PlsqlDatabasePassword sys

     PlsqlDocumentPath docs
     PlsqlDocumentProcedure wwv_flow_file_manager.process_download
     PlsqlAuthenticationMode Basic
     PlsqlNLSLanguage AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8
</Location>
do i need to add in this file to be able to run plsql web package

It is assumed you are talking about another 10g Companion disk installation somewhere else, if you have another database release the DAD's format change. I suggest you to copy the entries you plan to use from your current DAD file to the target DAD file instead of copying the whole file.

  • How many Licenses I need for a Web facing Sql Server

  • Need help using WEB module in Lightroom 2 for .mac/mobile me accounts

    Hello,
I need help in finding the Server path information for Lightroom 2.  I am trying to use the Web module of Lightroom and build a website and instead of going through another hosting service, I want to use my Mobile ME account, can't I do that?
I have the user name and password obviously but what is the server path, protocol, path?
    Help please!
    Thanks
    Ray

For those Mac Users using iWeb, MobileMe, and Lightroom 2, here are step-by-step instructions on how to create a web gallery in Lightroom, upload the gallery to MobileMe, and finally, how to link the uploaded files to the wesite you created in iWeb.
    1. In the Lightroom Library module, create a collection of photos you want to display in your web gallery.  For illustration purposes, we will call your collection Sunsets.  Once created, it will be listed under Collections in the left panel of Lightroom.
    2. Switch to the Lightroom Web module and select the Sunsets collection (from the panel on the left of the screen.)
    3. Chose whichever template you like (from the list of Templates in the left panel).
    4. Fine tune the appearance of the gallery using the controls in the right hand panel of Lightroom 2.
    5. When you are satisfied with the gallery’s appearance, use your keyboard to type Command-S.  That will save your template settings (give it a unique name when saving).
    6. Open up Finder on your Mac.  Inside your username folder, create a new folder… I'll call it Web Files.  (You can choose any name you like, and locate the file anywhere on your Mac HD.)  You have just created the folder username/Web Files.
    7. Back in the Lightroom Web module, chose Export, at the bottom of the right panel, and export your gallery to the folder you just made (e.g. export to username/Web Files).  By doing so, you will have created /username/Web Files/Sunsets.
    8. Once again open Finder on your Mac.  Go to /username/Web Files/Sunsets and you will see 3 files in the Sunsets folder: bin, index.html, and resources.
    9. Open a second Finder window and in it, click on your iDisk icon.  You will soon see all of the files on your iDisk.
    10. In iDisk, click on the folder called /Web.  You will now see the /Sites folder inside the /Web folder.  I.e., /Web/Sites.
    11. Drag the Sunsets file from your Mac HD to the /Sites folder on your iDisk.  E.g, drag Sunsets from /username/Web Files/Sunsets on your Mac HD to the /Sites folder in iDisk /Web/Sites.  The Sunsets folder (and the three files it contains) will now upload to your iDisk on MobileMe.
    12. Open iWeb on your Mac. Add a new page to your website.  Call it “Galleries,” or anything you like. (You can also use an existing page if you wish.)
    13.  On that “Galleries” web page (or on an existing web page), create a picture icon, or a word, or a symbol, or anything else that you will activate as a hyperlink to your iDisk web files - specifically, you will link it to the Sunsets folder you just uploaded to iDisk.
    14. Activate the hyperlink in iWeb’s Inspector.  In the URL box, type:
http://web.me.com/username/Sunsets  (Don’t forget to substitute your name for “username” and the name of your gallery for “Sunsets.”)
    15. Save your website in iWeb, and then publish your site.
You will NOT see your gallery in iWeb – you will see only the link to the gallery that you uploaded to iDisk..  To view your gallery, either make hyperlinks active, using the Inspector in iWeb and click on he link to the gallery, or visit your website on the internet.  If you want to edit your gallery, you will have to do that in Lightroom… then repeat steps 7 – 11.  You cannot edit your gallery in iWeb, but you can use iWeb to change the appearance of the link to your gallery, or to change it’s location within your website.

  • Need to use Web-X Plug In for remote comp use-Web-X won't load?

Have been using Quickbooks, connecting to remote computer for years, just this month QB directs that a "Plug In" is needed from WEB-X. I download the program and can not connect to the Remote Computer?

hello, in case the plugin got missing after you've updated firefox to version 21 please try this: enter '''about:config''' into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''plugins.load_appdir_plugins'''. double-click it and change its value to '''true''' (a restart of the browser might be necessary afterwards for the change to take effect).

  • Need to use Web Cache without losing IP

My application needs to know the source (ip address) of requests which is tied to terminal record, but it seems Web Cache filters all the requests with its server ip address, i.e., we lose that unique ip address. Is there a set up thing I can change to keep the ip and forward the request to OHS?

We have faced with the same problem with the only exception.
Our OWA part of application resolves remote IP fine by calling owa_util.get_cgi_env('REMOTE_ADDR'), while JSP fails to resolve remote ip - ether by querying 'REMOTE_ADDR' environment, or by request.getRemoteAddr().
    Our WebCache is 9.0.2.2bp2; DB - 9.2.0.2.1;

When used correctly types can be the simplest solution.
For example when passing multiple values to a stored procedure. Avoiding the type in the below example would lead to further complexity and aggravation not lessen it.

  • Putting the results of a PL/SQL package on a .jspx page

Hi, I have customer who wants to replace a cgi script's results with a .jspx page. Nothing fancy, just a straight vertical text dump of text returned from a PLSQL PKG into say an af:ouputText or af:outputFormatted. All within an af:panelGroupLayout vertical.
I understand UIs and ADF Faces pretty well but when it comes to database data displaying into components, I am green.
So, how would I declaratively in Jdev 11.1.1.3, create databindings, controls, etc. and dump display them in an af:outputText? All of the Tutorials I have seen show database tables etc., not PL/SQL packages. Can you please outline the steps for doing the databinding and controls things so that I can drop them onto a .jspx page/component? Please from the standpoint of using the PL/SQL package shown below. One solution is to write a Java class that has a method that nvokes the PL/SQL procedure and then return a String.
Then you can expose that Java class as a data control and drag the result of the method onto the page.
A bit about JDBC with PL/SQL and CLOB:

  • Getting java.sql package.

Hi, I need to download the java.sql package in order to connect to an Oracle database. Pl. suggest me a url where I could the above. (Searching sun's website yeilded only the doc files, ".html", which are for reference purpose. I am working on Apache with Oracle 8i as my database installed on Oracle 9i Applciation Server)
Any suggestions or advise or clues would be a great source of help. Thankyou!
    Amit.

the java.sql package has been part of java since 1.1 at least. so it is fairly safe to assume that if you have the jdk you have java.sql
any decent zip/archive program can look in and extract the files in a a jar file.
you do not need to touch this however. what you need is to get the JDBC driver for Oracle.
    you can get that here...

  • Creating Web services using JDeveloper for Pl/SQL package having ref cursor

    Hi,
I am trying to create web services for PL/SQL package in JDeveloper. When I am trying to create this web service, the functions in the package which is returning referential cursor or record cursor are not visible. When I highlight the function and click "Why Not?", it displays the message "The following types used by the program unit do not have an XML schema mapping and/or serializer Specified: REF CURSOR". Could you please let me know, how I can create this web service?
I am getting similar error when I am trying to create web service for a package with overloaded functions also.
    Thanks,

Ok so I played around with this some more. I created the same process in bpel using oracle bpel designer and here are the results.
    1. Against 10g database running a synch process data is retutned without error.
    2. Against 9i database running an asynch process data is retutned without error.
    3. Against 9i database running a synch process data is retutned with error.
    I'm definilty missing something.

  • Publish PL/SQL package as a web service without using Oracle AS?

    Hello, my question is:
Can I publish a PL/SQL package as a web service in Oracle10g directly from the

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    there is a tutorial:

  • The -dataSource parameter in assemble a web service from a PL/SQL package

When I use Web Service Assembler to assemble a Web Service from a PL/SQL package, I need to specify the dataSource parameter, e.g.:
java -jar wsa.jar -plsqlAssemble -sql pkgname -dataSource jdbc/MyDS -dbConnection ... -dbUser scott/tiger ....
The dataSource also needs to be pre-configured in the data-sources.xml in OC4J.
I am wondering why dataSource is needed here because the database connection information is already specified on the commandline ( dbConnection and dbUser).
If I have to specify dataSource, how do I configure data-sources.xml dynamically at run-time (e.g., adding entries)?
    Thanks,
    Jim

The -dataSource parameter specifies the data-sources.xml entry used at runtime. The database connection info is only for design time use. Typically you make sure data-sources.xml contains an entry with jndi-location of the same name you specifies for -dataSource. To configure data-sources.xml at runtime, it is out of the scope of web services. Please refer to OC4J admin guide. You can probably modify the data-sources.xml file and force OC4J to reconfigure based on the new data-sources.xml file.

  • PL/SQL Packages as Web Services - plsqlAssemble Task - Code Generation

    Hi,
I was able to generate Web Services for some of the PL/SQL packages using plsqlAssemble Task. (10.1.3 .1.1)
It produces a certain number of java classes for that.
Then I had to modify some of the generated code.
What is the best approach on modifying the generated code.
My concern is that I will have to rebuild/generate the code again in a future because the code generated may be not supported in future version of OAS, which was the case with the previous version ( 9.0.4 ) and I will have to maintain /support all manual changes.
Even when I don't need to modify the generated code what is the chances that it will not be supported for the future version of OAS and we need constantly sink it up with the current versions.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Michael Hitrik

    Ronald,
    Thanks for you advise.
I don't think that it will be a good solution .
First, I would like to know if I have to re-generate the code. If this is a case then plsqlAssemble would be a big problem as a solution. Our clients would need to do this as well.
What I am actually doing is the following:
I am trying to secure PL/SQL Web Services with SOAP Headers for passing authentication data such as user and passw for the DataSource.
It works great but I had to extend some of code generated Java classes which implements ServiceLifecycle to get SOAPMessageContext object.
    Thanks,
    Michael Hitrik

  • Is there any restriction using pl/sql packages depending on Oracle Version?

Hi everybody. Our company is using a mix of pl/sql packages to call web services and process xml inside stored procedures. We are using UTL_HTTP, UTL_DBWS and UTL_XML. Our client asks if there is any restriction using those packages on a Standard One licensed database? Does we need an upgrade p.e. enterprise edition to use those packages? I test all our development on a Express Edition, and there is no restriction. We run the same test on a Standard One and Enterprise Editions and the result was the same, no restrictions.
To use those packages does we need an upgrade to enterprise edition?
    Xavier.

the packages that you mention are not restricted to a particular version.
