I own an iPad (1), and just upgraded toiPad (4th generation). How can I transfer music and iBooks from earlier iPad to new one?

I just had this exact situation a couple of months ago. I backed up my iPad 1 to the cloud, and then restored the 4 with that backup and voila! Everything was all set up - I just had to sign in to a couple of apps, but for the most part, it was one of the easiest things I've ever done.

Did you have I cloud that automatically back up you data to iCloud backup happens when you charge your iPad Have a look in Settings iCloud backup If you do then all your photos will be safe When you have iCloud if you buy a new iPhone / iPad And you use the same Apple ID all your Apps & photos will download to your new Device Cheers Brian

Photo Stream does not count towards your iCloud storage plan.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 Photos in the Photo Stream album. Only photos taken within the last thirty days and since Photo Stream was activated will be synced.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone won't update and is stuck. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Mail: do not have the same account loaded onto the two devices.
Photos: go into Settings->Photos & Camera->and turn off photo stream.
everything else, sign out of the Apple ID on the device you dont want to be visible.

Or you may obtain iWork '09 DVD package from Amazon online et al. Sold at very low price now. It is really worth it. Don't forget to apply the iWork 9.0.3 updater after intalling it.

In most scenarios you shouldn't need to forward ports, however if you need to, you may be best contacting your ISP.

I have books in my iPad from Kindle.Is there a way to delete the read books from my device and just leave them in the iCloud ?

They are actually the same. If you delete the book and then tap on the Cloud Button at the bottom of the app - you will see that the book has disappeared from the device and is now in the cloud in your Amazon account. If you tap,on the arrow on the right side across from the book icon - it will download again to the iPad.
Try it a few times. I just deleted four books and downloaded them again. They will come back - honest.

If you own an iPad 1, it cannot be running iOS 6 as your profile indicates above. The highest iOS supported on the iPad 1 is iOS 5.1.1.

I own Creative Suite 6 and just joined Creative Cloud. Will I automatically get the Cloud upgrades?
