I recently set up multiple accounts and when I was trying to figure out how to share files I messed up something in my documents. Everytime I open a doc from the ADMIN account, a box pops up that says "The file is not in the correct format" how to fix?
I recently set up multiple accounts on my imac, When I was trying to figure out how to share the documents I must have done something wrong. When logged into the Admin account, I open up any document and I get a message box that says, "The Document could not be opened. The file isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format." What did I do and how do I fix it?
Without knowing what you did it is impossible to give advice on how to correct it.
If these were files you copied over from some other system then just Re-Copy them replacing the ones that are corrupted.
Other then that I suggest you Wipe the drive and start over with a clean reinstall of the OS and programs. Then if you want to share files to All Accounts place those files in a folder in the ROOT of the drive.

Whenever I try and eject my iPod from iTunes after it is done syncing a box pops us that says "The iPods' 'Owners iPod' cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application".iTunes is the only thing open on my computer so I don't understand what this could mean. I updated my 3GS to the latest OS. iTunes was updated first, when iTunes finishes updating my phone a box pops up that says my phone is in recovery mode so I click the update button and it goes the whole update cycle again. I unplugged my phone after 4 cycles of updating but now there is NOTHING on my phone, not even the home screen just the itunes symbol . I've tried rebooting my phone but there is still nothing there. HELP!!!!! What can I do

If that doesn't solve the issue for you, please provide a few more details about when the error occurs (when you open Acrobat, or try to print to PDF, and so on). Also let us know what version of Acrobat you're using, and on what operating system.

A lot will depend on what "accessory" the message is "not optimized". I get this message when my Mophie Juicepack is depleted, recharge it and no problems. Till the next time it is drained of course. That might give you hint of the issue. If you tell use what device you might be using when you get that message, we might have a different suggestion.

I have creative cloud, I have photoshop and lightroom current versions installed - I was using the trial period. I paid for the 9.99 a month and now I'm trying to figure out how to update this.
You need to uninstall the trial applications and reinstall from the CC app.

There may be an add-on installed for the toolbar. Go to Tools>Add-ons (or about:addons), select Extensions tab and remove the toolbar from there (if it's there)

I am unable to connect to the interent. At the top of the screen my computer says that I am connected. When I open up Safari there is a pop up that say "Community Toolbar We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar" and when the Safari page opens up it says "You are not connected to the Internet. Safari can't open the page .... because your computer isn't connected to the Internet." I have tried Network Diagnostics and tried to reset Sfari, empty Cache as well as deleted all of my interent history. I am unable to use Time Machine because I never set it up. If someone knows how to help I would very much appreciate it!!

I had shut down my computer, and when I started it up this is the message I received when attempting to open Firefox.
Cor-el, this is the same problem you responded to, and I said the uninstall is not possible for the same reason. I will check the Profil_in_use article, but I think I already have done all it suggests, and without success. If you solve this we change your name from Cor-el to Jor-el (Superman's father, of course)

Hi. I am having the same problem.
I have updated iPhone software and carrier settings, OSX Lion on the comp and in step 4 of 4 during photo sync about half way through, the error message comes up and now my pics are gone from the phone. I did empty the cache and the problem still persisted. I changed cables, I restored the phone and synced from the back up and even restored and created a new phone identity, still no love.
I am puzzeled, any suggestions?
