I recently went to the Mercy Corps website to donate. On the donation page, the address bar read "Mercy Corp" instead of their web address with the https. ???
That's about it. Was I scammed? When I left-clicked on the page, the address came up with the https prefix.

I was on an online course website, logged in and working on an assignment. Suddenly the page disappeared and was not on the tabs either. I went to the home page and tried to log back in and it said I was already logged in on another browser window and if I proceeded to log in again the assignment I was working on would be ended and I would receive a zero. I can't locate the browser window that I was signed in on. Help...I don't want to get a zero, but don't know how to get back into the website under my original log in & get back to my half completed assignment.Hi,

I recently bought, from the original website of Adobe, Photoshop elements 13. However, when I go with my mouse pointer over the menu, It hangs or he works very slow. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix it? I have already downloaded updates, both from Adobe and Windows. I have a new pc with window 8.1.
It could be a coincidence, but I rebooted the machine and (knock on wood) PSE13 seems to be working ok.

Hello! Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 5s to IOS 7.1, I am unable to access the iPhone Keyboard if I access contacts using the recent calls tab. I am also unable to access the keyboard if I want to search for a contact as long as I went through the recent calls tab. Has anyone a fix for this problem? If you want to try it out, do the following?
Dial a number from your iPhone Keypad. After cutting the call, try to save the number you just dialled to your contacts by choosing the new contact option. You will see that you will not be able to key in the name of your new contact.Works fine for me.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset. -
recently got went through the process of unlocking my phone through itunes, i am now unable to back my phone up to my computer, its asking me for a passcode that i used to unlock it, but i dont have a clue what it is. any ideas?

I've recently spilt a little bit of water on my Macbook Pro 13" and some of it went into the keyboard, the first thing I did was get paper towels and dry it off, everything is except now the speakers sound different, and a little bit lower in volume, basically the speakers just sound weird, there's no word to describe it, I can't really hear any bass from my speakers
Liquid spills, why your MacBook chassis is a one-way valve for spills
After a substantial spill many people will turn their notebook upside down and shake it, not only does this not work, but it spreads liquid havoc throughout your machine and makes things often as bad as possible.
The keyboard itself acts like a one way valve in the case of a substantial liquid spill. While liquid pours into the bottom chassis easy, it does not come out easily at all, and in the case of any spill, most of it will not come out by turning it upside down. Disconnect all power and contact Apple for diagnostics and repair.
Do not attempt to, after a spill, ‘dry out your MacBook’ and test it
After a spill most people invariably try to “dry out” their notebook by various methods, including hair dryers and otherwise. This both does not work, and after a substantial spill of any magnitude, even if the liquid was water, residue is left behind.
There are additionally many very tight places inside your notebook where liquids will linger for a very long time, and cause corrosion or worse.
Immediately unplug your notebook and contact Apple for in shop diagnostics and parts replacement.
In the case of very minor spills people will “dry out” their notebook and feel success that their notebook is working ok, however invariably in nearly all instances after 4-14 days an error / fault pops up and is usually followed by more.
In case of a spill, damage estimates are impossible,.....anything can be fixed, without question.......the question is cost.

I was saving the pictures on my phone onto my computer and then deleting them after they "saved", but after they were all deleted my computer decided not to save them. I went onto the Icloud website to look at them but cant. Help?
There is nothing to help with. There is no way to view the pictures in PhotoStream from the iCloud website.

I find it ABSOLUTELY unacceptable that since recently safari opens up random "commercial websites" without me clicking on any link. And it does that without allowing me to go (back) to the site I really clicked on. STOP THAT!!!!!!
There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow Apple Support's instructions to remove it.
If you have trouble following those instructions, see below.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
com.something.daemon.plist
and
com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
Open this folder:
/Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
something
where something is the same string you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
Finally, in this folder:
/System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked. -
I have an iphone 4 and recently changed my apple id password. I went through the verification successfully. For some reason, I can't sign into the app store on my iphone using my apple id and password.
Apple doesn't monitor here. Best we can do is to push you to contact Apple directly.

My camera just recently went blurry. It was working just fine yesterday but then I went to use it today and the pictures are so fuzzy. Has anyone else had this problem with their iPhone 5?
1st... make sure nothing's covering/smudging the camera lens. then...
Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the Camera app from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
Until the most recent update when the url that I wanted in the autocomplete location bar was selected, it "went" with no further clicking. Now I have to click the refresh arrow. It won't even work with the return. How can I make it work the old easier way?

okay so , my ipod is about two years old and went through the washer and dryer. no one has used it for two years because no one ever took the time to fix it, until now when my previous ipod cracked and barley works now. So i took it upon my time to fix this washed ipod and i have been able to successfully restore it and , backup, and restore backup. i have also reset the network settings, and still my wifi is dimmed out and wont let me switch it on, i have read the apple websites resolution to this problem and i have tried it and they do not seem to work as my wifi is still DIMMED out. I would like to switch over to this one because my cracked one is hard to use, but in order for me to use this one it would be very nice to have wifi so i could download apps, and when i restored and reset the ipod to act like a new one, it wont even let me sign in to my apple id because i do not have Internet, now the funny part is my wifi is working fine for my 5 family members and their phones/android tablets, i am the only one who has an apple device. please right back!!! thanks!
