After Restoring your computer to Factory Settings How do you restore backups from Time Machine? Help!

I have Restored my Computer to Factory Settings and Now I'm trying to restore the backups from my Time Matchine. I've already done the Migration Assistant things. But I dont know where to find my details or where my files are.
Everything is in different spots then where it was when i started this process.

Restoring from Time Machine and using Migration Assistant are either/or options... either restore from a Time Machine backup or restore by using Migration Assitant. You don't write which version of OS X you're running, so it's kind of difficult to tell you where to begin (or start over).
If you're running Lion or Mountain Lion, I would boot into the Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and use Disk Utility to erase your boot volume. Then, with your TM drive connected, restore your latest backup to your newly formatted volume. You can do the same by using the installation disc that has Snow Leopard on it, just with a few extra steps.

Restored my computer to Factory settings

I recently (yesterday) restored my computer to factory settings. I downloaded I-Tunes to my reformatted computer and it works just fine and I can get on my I-Tunes account just fine. The only problem is that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to reauthorize my computer to copy my songs from my I-Pod back onto my computer. I did not de-authorize my computer before reformatting my computer though ( I didn't know).
Does anybody know how I can go about reauthorizing my computer?

If you still have any free authorisations then open iTunes and go to Store>Authorise Computer. However, if you've reached your limit of 5 you have the option to deauthorise them all in one go from your iTunes Store account and start over again. *Just note that you can only use this option once a year*: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation
To deauthorise all computers associated with your account:
1. Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
3. Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

I got a potential buyer for my macbook pro because I'm selling to buy a Mac Pro. Anyway, he wants to pick up the computer in an hour and a half. I need to restore the computer to factory settings WHILE ALSO getting Windows XP off of this computer and making it one big Mac OSX hard drive as if someone just bought it. How do I do that? Please help! THANK YOU!

First, use the Boot Camp software to restore the drive to one partition (although I don't think you need to do this, it can also be done with what I'm about to say). Then, boot up using the system software the computer came with (the grey OS X discs), and open up the Disk Utility program. Format the hard drives you want to format, and if you didn't do the first step I said, I think you can format the Windows drive then format the Mac drive, then merge the two.
Then, restart and re-install the OS (Mac), and everything should be the way it was.
Just make sure to backup any data you want to save!

Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.

For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing.

Try using the Software Update on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update. One thing to keep in mind if you are trying it on the computer is to make sure that you are not pressing any keys down when checking for updates as that may bring up a pop up window to find the update file.

If you can't get dragging to work, just click on Safari from your Applications folder, and it should appear in the dock. Then you can right-click on the icon and PIN it permanently there.

It sounds as if you purchased the app, but you also purchased some subscription within the app. You say "Apple is charging monthly", but it's probably the app writer that is charging you monthly for some subscription you purchased within the app. Contact the app vendor and tell them you want to stop the subscription.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.
