IP = Internet Protocol(well it could mean a thousand other things but that's the most common computer related meaning of IP.)
I'd guess you'd find it it in Start > Control Panel > Network.
I have to admit I can't see it even though I'm sat at a Windoze 2K machine right now as the task bar's crashed on me so I can't go searching..
An IP Address is in the format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where xxx is a discrete value between 0 and 255. It identifies the location of your computer on a network or the Internet.

Have you ever checked to see if there is an update for your router? If yes, then power off router. Then on iPhone go into settings and do a reset network settings. Power router back on, and try connecting phone to router.

BTW it normally only shows if jailbreaked and also tells you that those apps are running in the background so the notifications can be poled .

I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Actually, a "requested resource" error message (which I believe you are getting) most of the time has to do with iTunes having a problem with connecting to your iPod, rather than the iPod software update server (although a more rare possibility of this error message could occur in that sense).

When I open GB in my booth macbook pros and play back my project a short but regular 10 to 20 seconds white noise keeps sounding. does any one know what's going on?s

I was using the garage band normally latetly, recording some projects and all. Sudenly when I open the software or play back, or record a short 4 seconds White noise every 10 or 15 seconds starts buzzing. Does anyone know wth is that?
I've tried re download garage band loops and sound boughtg, re install... booth computers I run the garage band keeps buzzing this annoing white noise.....
