I have a similar issue.
After updating Pages to 5.2, all Word export documents are 10 times the size they'd normally be.
A normal exported .DOC file that would have been under 200K, is now 1.7MB once exported. !!! ???
This is a major issue with Pages.

FireFox 3.6.15 and newer require OS 10.5 or 10.6. The latest version of OS X the Macintosh G4 I own is physically capable of running is OS 10.4.11. Whenever I try to attach a file to an email in gmail.com or ymail.com, FireFox crashes. Is it possible to load a version of FireFox older than 3.6.15 to avoid having to buy a new computer?
Hi again - since writing the above I have posted on Adobe>Webplayer>Flash forum the following request and will post on here if I receive a reply that works:
Firefox updated to 3.6.14 and then advised Flash 10 be installed. I did this and now on YouTube videos all I see is a black screen with no play or pause button. System is OS X10.4.11 Have now followed Adobe instructions to Uninstall Flash player on system and then Install Flash 10. But still at YouTube Safari says Flash 10 is needed and in FF shows a black box only. I use Intego virus barrier but this has never blocked an update before. Flash is enabled in Firefox and Safari.
eldnolb at Adobe forum advised: Go to this site and right click on the Flash logo, Settings, Display Settings. UNcheck the hardware acceleration.

But when I go to this page no logo appeared for me to right click on, which again means that Flash player is not working... so I could not access Settings, Display Settings, Uncheck etc. Was advised to start a new Mac entitled thread. Clare -
Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0.1 the "attach files" function in my Yahoo Mail account no longer functions. When I click the "attach files" button nothing happens - nothing. No file selection box opens, no error message appears, no pinwheel of death, nothing.
The "attach files" button is no longer 'hot' in FF 4.0.1 either = the "little hand" icon does not appear when I scroll over it. Other action buttons are still 'hot' ("attachments", "emoticons", "format", "hide bcc"etc.) - just not the "attach files" button.
The Yahoo Mail "attach files" function still works when I use my Safari browser, however. So, it appears to be a FF4.0.1 issue.

If helpful, here is some additional info:
I am running OSX version 10.9.4, with 8 GB of memory.I don't remember how big mine was, but I had loads of pictures in Elements so I guess it should work anyway -- so I'd first try to convert the full catalog, even if it takes some time.
If this really is a problem I'd suggest you break up your Elements catalog into two or more smaller ones -- I remember Elements getting a nuisance with big catalogs.
Btw.: I have the LR catalog on the internal drive, pictures and backups on two external drives. As long as I don't have the money for a big external SSD I think I will keep it that way (my machine is an iMac 21.5 8GB) -
The person who developed the application has left the company and we now need to maintain it.
Bob recommended a very time consuming method of examining each main VI's hierarchy and storing the sub-VIs in common folders. I've attached two utilities to make that easier. DS Hierarchy to file will create a text file you can export to EXCEL to document the VI's calls.
Clean directory will move all files NOT in the VI hierarchy to any directory (folder) you specify. In other words, if you run it on MYMAIN.VI, with instructions to move unused files to folder UNUSED, then after it runs, the only *.VI files remaining in the same folder as MYMAIN will be the ones actually used by MYMAIN.
That should help.

Updated iPad 2 last night. All movies (9) on my iPad can no longer be viewed. The movie plays but the photos and scene selection are blank. How do I fix this
Quit the app and restart the iPad.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Try the videos app again. -
I just downloaded and installed Photoshop cc and the Camera Raw version is not the latest one available,so now I can no longer open files from my Nikon D750! Can I update ACR?
I have been using the new version of ACR with PS6 and have been able to open the D750 files,now I'm stuck.

Hi-I have an old Adobe Audition 1.5 and I used to be able to hear as I was recording. After updating computer and reloading Adobe Audition 1.5, can no longer hear as recording but only on playback. Please advise.
All the monitoring is done through your sound device, not Audition. When you updated your PC, the sound device playback settings would have been reset. One of them includes input socket monitoring, and it's this that you need to reinstate. Since we don't know what sound device you are using, that's as much as we can tell you, except that if it's an internal device, you'll need to open the volume control options and alter it there. This varies between OS versions though...

I can't connect to iStores through iTunes on my Windows Xp machine. Everything is updated and I am getting message: We could not complete you iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202). Any suggestions??
I have the same problem PLUS I get the "Genius is temporarily unable to show you related music..." whenever I select a song. This occurs even when I log in as Administrator. Updating to 8.0.1 did not fix either problem.
I can access the iTunes Store and download music. Genius had no problems uploading my iTunes Library info, and it can create playlists for selected songs. I believe this rules out communications and authorization problems. I have a G4 Mac Mini, a G5 PowerPC, and an Intel iMac with the same problem, so it's unlikely to be a Mac hardware issue. A firewall problem was unlikely (since I can access the iTunes Store), but I tested this with the firewall off. Both problems still remained. Updating Genius, turning Genius off and then on again, reinstalling iTunes 8, updating to 10.5.5, etc. did not work.
The only unusual factor is that I have HughesNet satellite 'broadband.' I cannot see how that would matter, but perhaps the individual song iTunes Store and Genius features don't get along with something in my HughesNet 'modem.' Any ideas from other users? -
Since I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 8.1.2 last night, I can no longer connect to my imaps server. Other clients can connect to the server. Rebooting the device is no help. Before the update (i.e. 8.1.1), it was working fine. Is this a known issue?
No, it is not a known issue. It is a known non-issue. Try resetting your IMAP login ID and password. Both the incoming and outgoing. If that fails delete the account reboot the phone, and add it back.

I cannot attach files in Gmail within Firefox. I can attach files in Gmail from Chrome and IE.
I know it has been mentioned elsewhere too ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/999383 ), but I cannot reply to that message... so, here it is again, with full details of the testing we have performed so far....
ALL users or our organization are currently affected.
When you try to attached a doc, xls, pdf, etc. in Gmail the results are all the same in Firefox. You get a red bar with "attachment failed" and an option to cancel or retry.
We have tested with our Proxy On and Off. We have tested with no extensions loaded (I get the message with my 3 extensions on or off -- Adblock+, Ghostery, HTTPS Everywhere). Versions on which the issue has been seen include 25, 26, 28, 28.0.1 and 29.0.1 (the latest as of this post). Most users in our organization do not use extensions with Firefox.
Attachments link up just fine in IE 10 and 11, and Chrome (with Adblock, Ghostery, and HTTPS Everywhere turned on). This error is only seen in Firefox, with or without plug-ins.
Operating Systems used for testing were Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
The issue was first reported to us today, 5/13/14, but it is unknown if the issue has been around longer. However, Firefox is our organization's default browser due to countless web software vendor recommendations. We most likely would have heard before today if the issue has happened previously.
Any tips or suggestions would be welcome here.Without trying any of the fixes, the issue seems to have gone away on its own. All users (of about 7 reporting in) can attach files within Gmail using Firefox as of 5/15. We did not try any of the 4 fixes listed above. On 5/13 and 5/14, users could not attach files to Gmail messages within Firefox.
However, on the day of the issue we did try all the mentioned fixes (except #4). All affected users had all history and cache wiped, updated to v29.0.1, and the latest Flash plug-in from Adobe.com. We have the browsers set to clear all history, temp files, cookies, etc. at exit to avoid any cached data issues. We tried with proxy on and off too. Attachments were in the 20K-35K range, so very small. They failed on 5/13 and 5/14 within Firefox, but attached fine in IE and Chrome on the same days.
So, not sure what the issue was, what caused, or why it went away... but we cannot reproduce today, as of 5/15.

Can you please CLEAN up the podcasts that are no longer in service or being maintained? It's very tedious to click on someone's podcast to find that it hasn't been updated in 3 years.

You are right, a lot of older dead podcasts do not belong in the podcasts section. But there is still a lot of these podcasts that have good information and deserve to still be listed. For example there is quite a few photography lesson based podcasts in which you can get good information from different sources. -
Recently updated the the apple tv remote app for my iPhone4. Now can no longer turn on the apple tv "box" on/off using iPhone app as I used to do before the update. Only thing that shows on iPhone screen is music library. Home Sharing is on. Any help appreciated. Sorry if this is not exactly the right place to post this!
One clue: I have found a reliable way to solve the problem when it happens.
In my network, I have the main Airport Extreme (Gen 1) which is connected to my router, which distributes IP addresses to my internal subnet. The other two AEs (one Gen 4, one Gen 5) are set to extend the network.
When I get this problem with an AppleTV 2 that can "see" my library, but when I try to open it, it says it couldn't find the library, it seems to have to do with a change in which Airport Extreme it's talking to.
If I restart the main Airport Extreme from the Airport Utility, effectively restarting the entire wireless network, then when the network resumes, every AppleTV 2 is happy again.
Unfortuntely, the problem does seem to recur - but I'm wondering if it's because temporary interference leads an AppleTV 2 to try to connect to a different AE, and somehow that's mucking with the Home Sharing. Remember, internet access (Trailers, Store, Netflix) have no issues. Purely Home Sharing.

I just changed my apple ID because I needed to change my e mail account. My new ID updated on all of my devices except for iCloud on my phone. My phone however will not recognize my new Apple ID for iCloud? Any suggestions?
To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the new ID. If you only changed your ID and didn't create an entirely new ID, you can choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted. Your data will download back to your phone when you sign back in.
Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll before deleting the account. Deleting the account deletes the photo stream photos from your phone. -
My macbook pro no longer connects to my TV with the mini dvi to hdmi adapter. A while ago the computer fell down and hit the cable. How can I tell if the computer is working ok. Doesn't show mirroring any more. Was working while watching a movie but when I pulled it out from the computer and put it back in the system would no longer mirrorr the screen on the TV.
