I upgraded my pages '09 to 5.0.1 and now can't open an old saved doc because the volume "Untitled" isn't mounted and I should mount it and try opening again. What do I do??

I am writing a paper and cant open it. I can only find it from file on the top on my screen > open recent... and then a message pops up saying thatI couldn'y open "CSI Milton" because the volume "untitled" couldn't be mounted and it says that I should mount it and try openning the application again. WHAT DO I DO!?!?!

Can you open the same file with Pages '09?

Try this repair, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
1 delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, use Appcleaner from Mac Update to           do this, its freeware
2 restart the Mac;   Apple menu > restart
3 immediately after the start chime, press the shift key until you see the Apple symbol.
         let it fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
4 when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and           click repair disc permissions
5 when complete, restart the Mac normally
6 install Keynote from the Mac App Store

I typed in the IPv6 address of the printer in the address feild of firefox.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Upgraded to Tiger and now can't open any illustrator files! Please help me!

I upgraded my OS to Tiger and then updated to 10.4.8 and now can't get any of my Illustrator EPS files to open. I have spent the whole day trying to figure this one out (Launch Services advice in other posts) without any luck. What is going on here?!!! I have so much serious work to get done this weekend!

It's hard for anyone to offer any advice when you don't tell us what specifically is happening or not happening. Is there an error message? If so, what does it say? What version of Illustrator are you using? Does Illustrator open at all? Does it open regular Illustrator files? Have you reinstalled Illustrator?

Did my new phone seriously just crash? What do I do now? I left it overnight with the white screen, thinking maybe it'll go away and needs time to upgrade. Woke up this morning, nope still white screen. Very disappointed with Apple. I was so excited to get my phone and can't even use it right now.

First turn the iPhone off and back on and see if it works. If that doesn't work then do a Reset by holding the Sleep / Wake Button (The Power Button) and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple Logo appears, the release both Buttons and wait until a Full Reset occurs. The iPhone 6 should come back to your Lock-Screen. If that doesn't work then you could connect the iPhone 6 via the Lightning Cable to a Computer with a Current Version of iTunes. Then open iTunes on the Computer and wait until your see a Button that represents your attached iPhone and click on it. This should bring up a Summary Screen on the Computer within iTunes. At that point your can choose Update Software if an Update is available or Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings / New In The Box, or you could try to Restore from your Backup if a current Backup had already been saved from a previous iPhone.
If you don't have a computer with iTunes and you can get the iPhone back on, then go to Settings>General>Software Update and see if the iPhone is still on iOS 8.0 or if it is now on iOS 8.0.2

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. When you installed Pages v5, it automatically moved the older Pages ’09 v4.3 into /Applications/iWork '09 folder. If you want normal comment interoperability, you are advised to resume using the older version of Pages. Newer, is certainly not better with Pages v5.

Protocol error usually indicates that the very leftmost part of the URL is not recognized.
So http://, ftp://, rtsp://, usually work.

If you upgraded and were using a version of Acrobat Reader that was legacy, that is PPC compatible, then you will have to upgrade to a version compatible with Lion as Lion no longer has Rosetta to interface with the legacy software.
I know that Acrobat, full version, 10 works with Lion...use it myself.

I recently upgraded to maverick and now can't go back to open excel spreadsheets I need for my business. I've even changed the permissions and I can only preview, not modify. Any suggestions?

Was just having this issue with my wife's computer after upgrading to Mavericks. Maybe a long shot, but if your filenames have forward slashes in them (such as for dates), change them to backslashes. No idea why but it works. I seem to recall having the same problem with Excel some time in the past and this was the solution then too.
