I uploaded that new IOS 8.0 and now I cannot open my mail, Safari, or the new "TIPS" app. Does Apple have some sort of help, other than going to a store that is over 40 miles away?

I do backup with iCloud. I can't wait until the new iMac is available so that I can once again have my files in more than 1 location without needing to rely solely on the cloud.
I also rely on iTunes and my MacBook and Time Machine as well as backing up to iCloud. I know many users know have gone totally PC free, but I chose to use iCloud merely as my third backup.
I assume that the restore would result in my ability to open Pages and Numbers and fix the problem with deleting apps, but this would also mean that if my Numbers documents still exist solely within the app and are just not on iCloud for some reason that they would be gone forever. Is that right?
In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

I have an iPad two running iOS 8.2, with pages 2.5.2
Late 2012 21.5 inch iMac running Yosemite, with Pages 5.5.2
Yesterday, following directions in iMac Magazine on my iPad I turned on iCloud for Pages.
My documents disappeared from my iPad. After finding out how to locate them in iCloud I am unable to open them to edit or even read them for that matter.
What am I doing wrong.
Can I get my documents back on my iPad?Thanks. That was indeed the problem. A few hints for others with this problem. You can only find out that you need to upgrade, and upgrade, by cabling your iPad to your computer. Then the next Tricky part is making sure you have your iPad purchases saved on your computer. Then you download the new OS upgrade and you will get a "start up" type of screen on your iPad with a few questions. Nowhere is there a very good explanation that you want to then go back to your computer and restore your iPad. I finally did that because there were no other obvious alternatives, though all the warnings made me very nervous. After the restore command, I synched my iPad and I seem to have everything back, and I can now access iCloud. maybe I missed some instructions somewhere, but I found this process much more obscure than the usual Apple directions. Thanks for your help!

Does Apple have some sort of Trade-In program at any of their local stores?
I bought a Mid-2010 27 in. iMac from a producer friend of mine, it has the newest OS X, a 2TB hard drive and 16 GB of RAM. I'm wondering if I could go to one of their local stores and put my current iMac towards a newer model.
If anybody has the answer please let me know.
Thanks everybody! No, Apple do not do part exchange. You can sell your iMac on eBay and put the money towards a newer one.

Until I upgraded to 4.0 I had no trouble with accessing Mozilla.
I too find that Firefox 4 is an absolute memory hog. It takes forever to do anything. I have a small eMachines, one of the last ones to be installed with Windows XP. Firefox 4 seems to assume a volume of memory that simply does not exist on my machine.

My husband and I have both downloaded the new IOS 8.2 and now he is getting my text messages that are only addressed to me. He has a 5 and I have a 6. It is like we are synced together. How can I fix that?
Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.

I have installed the beta version of 6.1 a month ago and now i cannot open my iphone 5 it needs regestration and when i try to register it says that it couldnt complete and i need to register in the developer what can i do now to reopen my device?
Probably wasn't a good idea to install beta software on a device when you're not a developer.
Apple clearly states that beta software is not to be installed on production devices.
Not really much you can do except wait for iOS 6.1 to be officially released and then install it. -

I have been editing a document on my MacBook Pro and iPad, which has the newer versions of Pages. Now, I cannot open on My MacBook. It says I need a newer version of OS. However, I'm not showing a newer version being availabe!!! Can anyone help???
That is Pages for iPad v2.0, which Pages '09 v4.3 can't read.
You need to either stick with the older version of Pages on the iPad or get Pages 5 for the Mac which is only available if you are running OSX 10.9 Mavericks.
Unfortunately that is not the end of your woes because Apple has made iCloud convert the files to Pages 5 now, and Pages 5 has over 90 features deleted on top of doing a shocking job of converting older Pages files.

I've just updated my iPad 2 to iOS 5.1 and now can't open MyWallet where all my secure info and passwords are filed. HELP!
The app hasn't been updated in almost a year, so it may not be compatible with iOS 5 or 5.1. They have next to no support information on their web site, so you may need to email them:
[email protected]
The normal route for a single app that won't launch is to remove and reinstall it, but that would probably lose all your information unless you have it synched to a computer. I'd suggest contacting the developer.
Update: their Twitter feed says that they've had to do a number of updates for iOS 5.1 to fix an issue that was crashing all their apps under 5.1, and have submitted them to Apple. So stay tuned for a while and look for an update.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Safari and Clear Cookies, Data and History
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
I just installed the new upgrade and now I cannot open the Solitaire game. How can I fix this?
Check to see if the developer has released an update to the app.
