ODSEE 7 - 11.1.1.3.0 Replication from multiple masters(not multimaster) into one consumer (into same DIT)

Hi All,
Would you be able to help me regarding a replication question?
We have an existing LDAP topology where we maintain masters and consumers.
We have a request to expose (if it is possible) an additional suffixes into the current DIT on consumer side.
Here is the situation :
What do you think? is it possible to do this way?
The goal is to get the objects from ou=europe and ou=us and from ou=company as well when the search is on the ou=company,dc=example,dc=com with scope =2 (subtree)

Hi Laszlo,
thank you for the additional clarification; in that scenario, adding the two sub-suffixes and creating the replication from the other masters (ou=europe and ou=us) shouldn't be an issue, as long as you have created the same structure also the other masters.
Basically you could have on all the masters (company, europe and us) the root suffix which will always be: ou=company,dc=example,dc=com, then on the "europe" and "us" directories it will be just a kind of 'empty placeholder', whereas in the "company" directories will be fully populated:
Master "Company" 1 - root suffix: ou=company,dc=example,dc=com [This sub-suffix will contain the data and will be replicated]
Master "Company" 2 - root suffix: ou=company,dc=example,dc=com [This sub-suffix will contain the data and will be replicated]
Master "Europe" 1 - root suffix: ou=company,dc=example,dc=com [This suffix will remain mostly empty and not replicated]
Master "Europe" 1 - sub-suffix: ou=europe,ou=company,dc=example,dc=com [This sub-suffix will contain the data and will be replicated]
Master "Europe" 2 - root suffix: ou=company,dc=example,dc=com [This suffix will remain mostly empty and not replicated]

N:1 replication from multiple ERP source systems on different EHP levels

The situation is that the customer has multiple ERP systems on different EHP levels. Therefore, in newer EHP systems, some tables will have different structure (additional columns). The intention is to setup N:1 replication into one target DB schema
Would this be possible to support/setup in SLT ? How would the different table structure be handled?

Hi Cosmin,
I think this can be achieved. First of all you have to investigate which structures are available for the different releases. At the and the target structure has to consist of all available fields with the same name.
Before oyu start with the replication you have to specify the same target structure for all configuration.
What SLT is doing during the mapping from the source structure to the target structure is a "move-corresponding" command. So it is important that the names of the fields are the same. At the end you will have sometimes fields filled, sometimes not (depending if this field is in the source filled).

Replication from Multiple HR systems

Hi SRM Gurus,
has anyone ever had the requirement to replicate HR data (Org, Positions, Central Persons) from more than one HR system?
At the first glance, I technically do not see why it should not be possible. Setting up the ALE distribution modell on multiple HR backends and processing the docs should work, shouldn't it?
Any ideas, suggestions, hints, reads, practical experience for me?

Yes. As long as you maintain separate distribution model for each client, you can distribute the same content to 'N' receiving systems.

Did you already read OSS note 588701 "Change of the logical system name in R/3 Backend system " ?
Also Check the note 765018. In case of multiple backends and also if systems are refreshed with other instances (client copy), the logical system ID will be changed. So we need to run the report mentioned in the said note and run the replication.

In case of multiple backends and also if systems are refreshed with other instances (client copy), the logical system ID will be changed.
So we need to run the report mentioned in the said note and run the replication.

Is there a way to use music from multiple users itunes libraries on one iMac for a slideshow in Aperture?

I am trying to put together a slide show for a trip my wife and I took to England. I would like to be able to use music from both our itunes libraries in the slide show. I am using Aperture to create the slide show since it seems to be more versatile than iPhoto for this. Only trouble is that when I log into my username on the iMac I only see my iTunes library and similar when logging into her username. We have different music but would like to use some from each library in the slide show.

You can only use one library at a time in an Aperture slideshow, so I'd suggest to simply collect the audio that you want to use in a folder (export the songs from both iTunes Libraries) and then import this folder to Aperture. Now you have a project containing the audio files; you will see it in the Aperture Audio section of the audio Browser, right above the iTunes section.
You can use the Apperture audio just like the audio in iTunes to drag to the timeline of your slideshow.

Sending Email from Multiple Accounts, not just one.

I have 3 email accounts set up on my iPhone, 1 Gmail, 2 two POP accounts.
For example if I get an email from Gmail, I check it in the phone and hit reply it goes out, from Gmail.
If I view an email in another POP account (NONGMAIL) and hit reply, the reply is sent from my GMail address. What gives?
If you reply to a message from another account shouldn't it go from that account? I don't want to be responding to work emails with my Gmail address.
Does the iPhone only support 1 account to send email? I tried changing the default account that did nothing using the mail client. Anyone else have this issue.

I'm having my issue. I have a gmail and an IMAP account set up on my phone.
When I have my default mail set to my gmail account, and I go into either inbox of my iphone's email application and send to a third email address, the emails appear to be coming from my gmail account.
When I change my default mail to be my IMAP account, the email STILL appears to be coming from my gmail account, no matter which account I send from.
The punchline is that, with either account set to default and sending from either account, the copy that I BCC to myself ends up being sent to BOTH email accounts.
Any idea what's going on?

Audio Output from Multiple Sources not working

When I have more than one audio source open i.e. VLC + skype, skype + netflix, the later fails to produce any output -- even if the former is paused. I haven't done anything none standard with my configuration in this regard.

I think I resolved this! I had the same issues you have been having for a few months. I am actually running Vista. Here is what I did...
1. While booted to Windows I uninstalled boot camp
2. Re-installed boot camp from Leopard DVD
3. Installed boot camp update 2.1 (downloaded from Apple support, i know this is for XP only, but I updated anyway.)
4. Downloaded the realtek drivers (high definition audio codecs) from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
5. DO NOT use the Realtek installer to install the drivers...instead extract the contents to a folder.
6. Go to the device manager, locate the High Definition Audio device and updated the drivers from here (point to the folder where you extracted the drivers).
I now have sound out of the rear jack!! Hope this help someone

Merge replication is not happening in one way

Hi ALl,
We have merge replications setup. it is not working in one direction. I enabled the logging to output fine but no use i could not find anything. The pings are fine no drops. Telnet is working. no load on server. i contacted network teams there is no issues.
What could be the issue?
The merge process could not retrieve column information for table 'dbo.MAINT'. Verify that you have sufficient privileges on the database and retry the operation.The merge process could not enumerate changes at the 'Subscriber'. When troubleshooting, restart
the synchronization with verbose history logging and specify an output file to which to write.
But the agent subsystem account and replication has sysadmin permission no possibility of password issue.
Snapshot folder and file not be used here.

Excise Invoice from Multiple GRPO

Hi,
How can we create a singe incoming excise invoice from multiple GRPOs? While creating one, when we use the copy from button, it allows to select only one GRPO and not multiple unlike A/P Invoice which can be created from multiple GRPOs.

Issues with acquiring from multiple GigE cameras

Hi,
I'm trying to build a simple app where three cameras are running simultaneously and can optionally record AVIs with timestamped data appended to each frame. I'm not having the recognition issue (all three cameras are seen through either a network bridge on the PXI system I'm using or an external GigE switch), but they seem to be failing during the grab process. When I have more than one running, green noise in the form of horizontal lines appear on the images, and usually all but one of the cameras will eventually drop out. No such problem exists when triggering only one camera. It seems a lot like the frames are colliding somehow; can grabs from multiple cameras not occur in the same loop?
As for the program set up, it's mainly a modified version of the "write" case in the AVI Read/Write with Data example. The user is prompted to save the avi's and a text file, three camera and IMAQ sessions are opened (with unique names), and then the program loops until the stop is hit, with a true/false case for actually recording the data. Frame/sample rate is controlled by the millisecond timer wait function. The problem happens regardless of acquisition speed (even at 1 frame/sec), and the CPU nor the network link seem to be anywhere near fully taxed.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I put the packet size back to 8000 on both cameras. So far, I'm still seeing green horizontal lines. Here's what I've tried and what I've learned.
1. Set Acquisition Mode in VBAI to Continuous - Immediate
2. Tried to reduce the bandwidth demand of the cameras by setting Acquisition Frame Rate (Abs) to 3.0
3. Checked the Device Max Throughput under Transport Layer in MAX
a. Color Pilot camera is 30.4 MB/sec
b. Mono Pilot camera is 11.1 MB/sec
4. Checked the Bandwidth Assigned under Transport Layer in MAX, and it is 125 MB/sec
5. Add 30.4 to 11.1 and get 41.5 MB/sec so there is 83.5 MB/sec bandwidth available.
6. Subtract 5 MB/sec for overhead and 6 MB/sec for each camera for Bandwidth Reserve (set at 5%) and there is still 66.5 MB/sec left over
7. Open VBAI, and then open an inspection in which the Mono camera is configured (mad sure to load the defaults that were saved in MAX)
8. Launch MAX and try a Grab from the Color camera
9. See green lines of death....
So, I've narrowed my experimentation down to just two cameras and I still have acquisition problems. I've got to be missing something else. Note that there is no camera attribute section called "Advanced Ethernet" only "Transport Layer". Perhaps that was camera-specific.
I think I'm going to have to use dedicated Ethernet ports for each camera. It is disappointing since this architecture should work given those bandwidth concessions made for frame rate.

I ] Problem
We are having problem while replicating the Business Partners from CRM to R3. When we create a Business Partner ( Type People) through transaction BP on the CRM server it creates an entry in table but000 on the CRM side but the same entry does not exist in kna1 table on R/3 server.
When we check the BDOC through transaction smw01 on the CRM server there exist an entry with BDOC State Description " Send to receivers (not all have confirmed)" for BDOC Type BUPA_MAIN.
II ] Configurations
We have done following settings before creating Business Partners through CRM
Settings on CRM Server
1> RFC Destination "CARDONR3_DEV" for R3 server is defined in sm59 on the CRM side and is working OK.
2> Through transaction BUCF we have defined a number range named C1 ( 0005000000 to 0005999999) with External flag deselected.
3> Through SPRO we have defined a grouring C001 (CRM Customer) and assigned number range C1 to it.
Settings on the R3 server
1> RFC Destination "CMDCLNT110" for CRM server is defined in sm59 on the R3 side and is working OK.
2> Through transaction OVZC we have defined cutomer number range named C1 ( 0005000000 to 0005999999) with External flag selected.
3> Through transaction OVT0 we have created Cutomer Account Group named Z001 which is copy of 0001 (Sold to Party). Number range C1 is assigned to the account group Z001.
4> Through transaction VOPA we have maintained the Partner function for customer master i.e Acct Grp Z001 is assigned to Function SP.
5> In transaction PIDE under CRM -> R3 assignment we have selected account group Z001 to Classification type B (i.e Customer)
III ] Procedure Followed
1> On the CRM server we execute the transaction "BP" .
2> We Click on Create Person button.
3> Following Selections are made
     a) Create in role : Sold-To-Party
     b) Grouping : CRM Customer
     c) Field Title, First name and Last name are selected
     d) In the tab Classification we select R/3 Account Group as "0001". System does not allow us to select the R/3 Account group "Z001"
4> On Saving the entry Business Partner is created in table but000 on the CRM side.
5> The above entry is not replicated in table kna1 on R3 side as expected.
IV ] Observation
We are not able to select account group "Z001" in the BP creation screen. When we run the Intial Load (R3AS) on CRM server for object "DNL_CUST_ACGRPB" (i.e AccountingGrp Business Partner) (Replication from R3 to CRM) it shows the status done in screen R3AM1 but the entry for account grouip Z001 which is created manually on R3 side during the configuration phase is not replicated on the CRM side.
We have referred a note for the above error which said that the basis patch "SAP_BASIS" should be at level 56 but we are already on Patch Level 56.
Please guide us.

Glad to hear one of the problem has resolved.
In order to simplify the analysis, I assume few things
from your information :
1. Connection between CRM and R/3 are correctly run
2. Other necessary customizing Objects relate to BP
   have been downloaded properly to CRM.
Few things you can check :
1. Did you enter Correspondence Language & Language
   in CRM BP ? just make sure you did.
2. Try to complete minimum data such as Search Term,
   Street/House, Postal Code / City and Country in CRM BP.
3. Check the detail Error message in SMW01 (can you get
   more detail - normally you can click on SHOW BDOC Msg
   ERROR)
You also can trace/debug LUW,:
- use tcode SMQ1 to see the stopped queue for that error
transfer
- Click menu Go To -> QOUT Scheduler
Click on R/3 destination and deactivate/deregister it
- In SMQ1 select the error queue, double click on it.
   and after next screen double click again
- Then Start DEBUG LUW
- Insert debug breakpoint in statement Call Transaction
and execute F8
- When it stopped, Change the variable mode to A
it will show you the missing/incomplete fields.
You need to register/activate back the R/3 destination after you have finish debugging.

Scheduled delta replication from R/3 to CRM

Hello Experts,
we are planing to download customer master data from R/3 to CRM. It will be a completely one sided connectivity and we dont want to upload anything from CRM to R/3. And we are planing for Initial load as well as Delta load from only R/3 to CRM. How can I set this?
And the delta down load, we want to perform automatically once in day at a specified time..so is it possible?if yes how?

If You are using the Administration Console to deassign a site from a subscription or a subscription from a site, or to delete a subscription.
The type of the related publication is simple intelligent (sync), simple intelligent (msg) or simple bulk (msg). As a consequence, changes (insert, update, delete) of a BDoc instance are sent to a site only if the site has been assigned the corresponding subscription. The assignment or deassignment of such subscriptions will not trigger a synchronization of the site database.
Example:
Your site Back-End is of sitetype R/3. It has been assigned a subscription for a BDoc type. The type of the publication is simple bulk (msg). The creation of a business object (for example, business partner) with identifier 111111 ensures that this business object will be sent to site Back-End.
After deassigning the subscription in the Administration Console all changes in business object 111111 will not be sent to the site Back-End. In addition, a newly created business object with identifier 222222 will also not be sent to site Back-End.
As you reassign the subscription, the following inconsistencies occur:
Business object 111111 has not been synchronized in the R/3 back-end.
Business object 222222 is not available in the R/3 back-end.
And for scheduling background job for delta replication from R/3 to CRM, i am not sure about it.

BP Replication from R/3 to CRM

Hi Forum,
I am facing an issue with BP Replication from R/3 to CRM.
Although the same scenario and configuration works well on my dev and qual environment and the same has been trasported to Production, apart from that R3 dev and qual system are completely updated with Prod data as on date so there is no question of any mismatch at the data level and config level.
The following are the error messages am receiving in SMW01 for BUPA_MAIN:
1. Business partner with GUID 36F36B473D31C04985CC8AEB314C6BE3 does not exist
2. Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL, BDoc type BUPA_MAIN
Now none of my BP are flowing to CRM because of this issue.
Appreciate any pointers for the resolution.

Hi Vikash,
The RFCu2019s have been checked for authorisation test, remote logon n local logon. The RFC user is a dialog user and is working well for all logon. I have also checked both the systems they have the logical names as described by you (source & destination both).
Another thing that validated my point regarding the connection setting is that the materials are flowing fine between the system and even the changes in these materials are replicating properly hence the delta for material is also fine.
The Inbound and Outbound queues have been deleted from both r3 and crm and the only job running again at the moment is customer_main.
Regarding you concern for the queue R3AI* it has not been generated even once whenever I have started the initial load. Right from the starting I am monitoring R3AD* in all the outbound and Inbound queues of both the systems.
The sysfail message is coming for R3AD queue hence I think it is of no use to us. Still if I follow the error message it points towards SMW01 and there the error message is the same as described in the 1st message.
I have just noticed 2 BP that have come in CRM as STP but its been hours after that no BP is flowing in.
Now I am eagerly looking out for the final findings that we are going to get from the system when the issue is resolved.

Custom fields mapping issue of sales order replication from R/3 to CRM

Hello Experts,
I have to replicate sales orders from R/3 to CRM system (Initial and Delta)
The issue is I have custome fields in R/3 which are maintained in custom table(Z table) in R/3.
We added those custom fields in CRM customer_i table to synchronise with R/3 data.
To MAP R/3 custom fields to CRM custom fields, i have the following customization.
1. Added the custom function module in the event CRMO_200 and moved all the custom fields into interal table IT_OTHER_INFO.
2. The intrnal table IT_OTHER_INFO with data is passed into CRM standard function modules.
3. But in CRM the BADI 'CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI' implementation does not have the input parameter of internal table TI_OTHER_INFO.
All my custom data is in internal table TI_OTHER_INFO.
Please suggest where can i map this data to CRM enhanced fields.

I went through the Note (1053817). It is good. I understand that the custom fields should enhance in the BAPE_VBAP in R/3.
My Scenario:
Goal: Orders replication from R/3 to CRM along with Custom fields.
In R/3, all the custom fields are maintained in Z table (Not VBAK or VBAP).
All these custom fields are belongs to Item level.
In CRM, The custom fields are maintained in CRMD_CUSTOMER_I table though AET.
I need to MAP these custom fields to CRM while order replication from R/3 to CRM.
