I used to download Clipart for my old windows machine. How can I save images (that are not my photos) to import into a Pages document please?

In the olden days - when I had a windows operating system, I used to import Clipart icons/pics/cartoons into simple documents. What free alternatives are there for simple informal documents?
I'm just a simple home letter writer so no complex solutions please!

Last Spring I received a couple of emails to an alias I set up a long time ago under mac mail with mac.com - not my main ID - at mac.com. The mail had the Icloud extension. I just deleted it.
I then received a couple of e-mails forwarded to the same alias that came from a non-apple account that led me to search to see if the company was legit - it was. Using a non-apple hidden account I sent that non-apple account an email informing them apparently when they registered the ID or alias as an ICLOUD extension - apple did not check for duplication in accounts or aliases that were not in the Icloud.
I also sent feedback to Apple telling them to fix it and apparently they did - along with the person who replicated my alias.
On this site there were a number of postings from people who also had problems with mac mail and Icloud who resolved it by contacting Apple and getting the accounts cleared up.

If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)

How can I detect workbooks which are not longer in use?

Hello togehter,
I am looking for a way to detect BEX Workbooks which are not longer in use. Is there something in the BC which I can use for that?
Best would be some query with the information of when and by whom a workbook gets called up last time.

Hi Edward,
there is no key figure providing this information.
First of all you got convert the 0CALDAY from Date to Number, therefore you got to configure a new variable (by replacement path) and put it into a formula.
Use the result of this formula as a column and create a new TOP 1 condition on it.
Now you will only get one row per Workbook/Query (or whatever you have chosen) with the date of the last use of it.

Downloaded H&R block tax software on windows machine, how can I transfer it

I bought the tax software on Dell's software sight, I made sure that the software was Mac compatible. When I went to download the software, I found out that it could not downloaded on a mac:( Others had success downloading it to a windows machine and then just transferring it to the mac. I transferred the zip file to the mac and tried to open it with no success, it just had a text box with a bunch of jibberish on it. I opened the zip file on the windows machine and tranferred the unzipped program to the mac, but same thing happened. The program only has a .exe file, don't I need to find a .dmg file? I assumed that when I unzipped it their would be a .exe and a .dmg, but it is not so. Anyone have any advice?

A ZIP file that contains a .EXE file is Windows software. I would suggest contacting the seller of the software for their help in providing you with a Mac version.

You can do this directly in OAM, with option "a" (using auxiliary object class). You configure OAM to use the main person object class (inetorgperson) and then you can associate extra auxiliary object classes to it - and header variables can be set from any of the attributes that are in the user's profile, both main and auxiliary.

I have Pages for the iPad and desktop, how can I save it besides the iCloud on my computer and not the iPad?

I have purchased Pages for my desktop iMac and Macbook Air. I also have it on my iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. They are all synced through the icloud, but the space is now starting to fill up. (I am the guy asking trivia questions and it fills up with A LOT of questions). BUT, after each week, I can get rid of 3 documents (16 questions per document). So, I have roughly 80 games worth of trivia and half of which I would like to save on my computer. I can pull it up on my computer and it shows that I have that from the icloud, but not on the desktop. I have lots of space on my desktop to save these, but the iPad is not as large for space.
How can I transfer roughly 40 documents (from pages) from the icloud to the desktop, (for permanent storage)? do I have to do each one individually, or is there a select documents you want to move? Then I can delete from ipad as it seems to take up space on both the ipad and the icloud.

Just ignore that post above. I tried to edit it but was too late. Deleting a document from iPad does delete it from iCloud.
Ignore the line 'There is no data limit on iCloud.com so you could keep all your documents on there' because of course then they will sync to your devices and that's not what you want.

I am using iTunes Match but it won't upload any files that are recorded at less than 96 kbps. I have recordings from several classes that I am taking online that I need to listen to on my iPad and iPhone. How can I get them on my devices? Do I just have to turn Match off and do it manually like before? Or is there a way to change the recording level in GarageBand?

I found the answer. Just double click on the recording in iTunes and select Create AAC Version. Then select Update iTunes Match under the Store tab. The recordings will now show up and play on your other devices.

I have a IP block that has BUFGs that may or may not be used depending on which design the IP block is used. If they are not used I would like them to be removed but the tools are not consistent, sometimes they remove them and sometimes they do not.
How do I specifically tell Vivado to remove a BUFG in the .XDC file?
I've seen someone suggest to use the following attribute in the VHDL file but I need something in the XDC file

If the BUFG instance is instantiated in the IP or your design then the buffer_type attribute will not work.
The opt_design trims the unconnected instances during implementation. Ensure that the BUFG does not have DONT_TOUCH property set on it which might affect trimming.

MS publisher 2010 to PDF using Adobe Acrobat X Pro produces outlines on some of my images that are not there on the publisher file!

I am helping a client publish a book through Createspace. We are both using Windows 8 OS. She created her document in MS Publisher 2010. I made the necessary edits to her book, (111 pages) and saved it as a pdf for commercial printing. The resulting pdf puts lines on some of the images. (All the images are jpg format, but it only happens to some.) I have tried creating the pdf in several different ways including print to PDF, Save as PDF, and Save and Send Wizard for commercial printing. I have also tried deleting and reinserting the images. I don't know what else to try. Does anyone have any ideas.

I agree with your statement; even for a particular document, if I choose to "Print on both sides" and then print again immediately after, "Print on both sides" will be deselected.
However, I'm not sure what you're implying by you're statement. I'm asking precisely why this setting isn't sticky. Acrobat uses a non-standard printer dialog; in the usual dialog I can easily set a defualt duplex setting. I almost always want to print duplex. Why can't I do this by default in Acrobat?

Firstly, do you have an external Hard Drive connected to use for your Time Machine backup?
Secondly "stacks" is not a programme; it's one method of presenting folder icons in the dock, and is accessed from the 'view options' choice which appears if you click on the folder. Right-clicking the folder will go straight to the options menu.
