I used to have a pop-up ask if I wanted to share my location with a site. I accidently hit "never" instead of "allow". How do I undo this?
Some website apps use the geolocation of your desktop. And prior to the other day, whenever this information was requested Firefox would prompt me and ask if I wanted to share my location with the website and provided 2-3 options: "never", "allow once" or "allow always". I accidentally hit "never" and now I can't find a menu option, cookie or anything in Firefox to undo this selection.
You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in:
* Tools > Page Info > Permissions
See:

Windows 7, the Firefox profile is an encrypted TrueCrypt file which is open. The file appears as a Local Disk
There has been a security update of the Flash Player and the current version is 10.1 r85 , so you are two versions behind (previous was 10.1 r82).

When I click on the home icon all the previous tabs I have used and have closed pop back up. I have Windows 7, 64 bit and I am using Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 7.
A few days a go I had installed iMesh, but FF took forever to load. I uninstalled iMesh and all my stored passwords were gone. I then did a system recovery. And everything was back to normal.
Yesterday when I downloaded a video using youtube downloader I got a there's a newer version. I installed the newer version. After it was installed the previously closed tabs started popping up.Check your list of home pages, Firefox can store multiple home pages. For details of how to do that see the [[How to set the home page]] article.

When the window opens to ask if I want to save or not comes up it does so for WORD documents just fine, however, for PDF documents it never asks (it used to). Now it just automatically saves them without asking. I need this changed. I went into applications and changed the setting to always ask but it still is just saving, them no window pops up asking what I want firefox to do with the file like it does with a WORD document. IF I cannot get this resolved I will not be able to continue using firefox. I teach and I have students submitting articles etc in pdf format, I cannot constantly save all pdf files. I just want to open them, review them and then move on. There must be a way to change this so that the window asking what I want firfox to do with the pdf files opens.
thank you,
kkwrightDeleted it, restarted it. tried it again. no change. repeated the whole cycle. no change. thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling, but that won't reallyk change the settings.

I am unable to install itunes. I get the pop-up asking if I want to save or cancel the iTunes64 file. I click save... and then nothing happens. Help!
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
When I change a password, sometimes I get a pop-up asking if I want to save the new password - sometimes it doesn't appear.
How can I save the new password if popup does not appear?The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

I received a 'pop up' asking if I wanted to update the software in my iPhone. As I always accept these messages to keep my phone up-to-date, I accepted.
A long (25minute) process started, but at the end of it, the process "crashed" saying an unknown error had been encountered!.NOTHING has changed with my computer of my iPhone, so I say this is an Apple problem. I cannot start or use my phone now - all that shows on the screen is the iTunes logo and a connectivity graphic - see attached photoHi Kalaivani Krish18,

An alert pops up and asks if I want to merge my contacts with Yahoo.
If I merge, will it add duplicates, if there are some?
I don't want duplicates.
If it will add duplicates, how do I tell yahoo to quit asking me if I want to merge.*Firefox 4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac.
*Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

For an unofficial Firefox 4 compatible version (TenFourFox) that runs on PowerPC Macs with OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8 you can look at:

I have a web site that I subscribe to and when I pulled it up Firefox asked me if I wanted to allow it or not. Accidently I pressed never allow for this site. Opps . . How do I undo this? I tried restarting and am now stuck as I can not access my website
Do you mean saving a password?
If you clicked "Never" then you have created an exception that you need to remove.
Remove site(s) from the Exceptions:

When I bought my Mac they gave me a free hp printer. My mac is a 10.7 and the printer is for 10.6 and below.... so why did they give me this printer? Can I use it somehow or should I ask for a different one that is compatible with my computer?
Can I use it somehow or should I ask for a different one that is compatible with my computer?
No, that's not necessary.
You Mac most likely sat in inventory before it was sold so the latest drivers were not installed.
If you tried using the printer and couldn'tget it to work, go here > http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
If this is a USB connected printer, make sure it's connected to your Mac, then at that link click: Detect Your Product
Download and install drivers for v10.7 / Lion. -
I updated to Firefox 4.0.1 and can no longer use the thumb/finger spreading feature on the trackpad of my Mac Powerbook (Mac OSX 10.6.7) to enlarge text on websites. How do I restore this function?
* [/questions/777886]
Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>
browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> <b>false</b>
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily. -
My wife and I have different Apple ID's and passwords but I want to share our music library which is on iCloud under my Apple ID. How do I set her up to share the music library that resides on the iCloud under my Apple ID?
You would need to go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap her ID, sign out, then sign back in with your ID. However, if she has turned on automatic downloads, download previous purchases or signed into an iTunes Match account using her current ID, she would have to wait 90 days from when she first did this to change to another ID. She can, of course, sync your music to her device using iTunes without changing her ID association.
