I've created two seperate itunes account (my bad) and I want to share the music between the two. My iphone has one list and my computer and cloud have the other.

How do I go about sharing between them?

Make sure both computers are set up to share their library on the local network.
iTune>Preferences>Sharing>Share my library on my local network.
Then, using the computer that you want to have the media on for yourself, go to the other computer's library, it should appear under Shared on the left, select everything you want to import and click "Import".
When it's done you can delete it all from the other computer, then you can just sign out of iTunes.
If you didn't do so previously, you'll want to authorize the computer that now has all the media on it with the older iTunes account.
Store>Authorize this computer.

I have two seperate itunes accounts on two seperate devices and i can not make an itunes purchase on either one. When signing into the account it ask for the answer to security questions. I have NEVER answered a security question for these accounts. Each time it is a different set of questions. This has only happend since the original devices have been replaced/upgraded. I have an iPhone 4 and 4S. We have two seperate iTunes accounts. I attempt to move movies to the iPhone 4 from account #1 and i get a message which says this device cannot play this content. My iPhone 4S will play content from both iTunes accounts #1 and #2. I must be missing something in the software. How do I activate two iTunes accounts on one device? My 4S has had apps from both accounts #1 and #2 on it before. The iPhone 4 does not have any apps from the account #1. Somehow one device is allowing content from 2 seperate iTunes accounts and the other is not.

Yes you can, you can have up to 5 computers authorized for playback on purchases. If you have not purchases, then there is nothing to worry about there as well.

I had my music on my itunes on my old computer (pc), and need to move it to my husband's computer. My husband and I both have iphones and want to keep using our seperate itunes accounts on one computer, as we both have our own media set up on our accounts. I had burned my music from the old computer onto discs and imported onto the new one...works in the library but I can't put them into playlists, which means I can't put the music on my iphone. As for using two seperate accounts on one computer, it was suggested to me to make another profile on windows (vista), and use the second account on that profile. I did that and have had such a frustrating time trying to get this to work. I don't know if I've done something wrong, but it's just headache after headache. Somehow my apps even ended up on my husband's account? Also, how can we share music between our profiles? It seems ridiculous that we should have to buy an album twice just because we have to different accounts. I would be willing to create a third joint account with my husband, but only if we can still have our own music, apps, etc, and can somehow transfer the music we have to this new account...if possible. Suggestions please???? I'm so close to pulling out my hair over this!!!

You'll need to copy the music currently on your iPod to your new PC and into iTunes first before you can sync it to the new iPod.

How do we both use the same computer to access our own iTunes accounts and sync our own iPhone and iPod to it to update our respective toys? I have already transferred all my content to the new laptop and am able to sync my iPhone and iPod. Now I just need to figure out how to get my wife's content on this new laptop so she can sync her iPhone and iPod. Does anyone know how to do this? I assume this is a common request.

another option would be to authorize iTunes to use/play content purchased with both your iTunes accounts.that's basically very easy. all you have to do is +log out+ of one account (click on the account name in the Store window and select +sign out+ from the pop-up dialog) and into the other, and then they will both be authorized. (be sure to just *log out*, not de-authorize ).

How do I stop iMessages from showing up on both of my iPhones without having to have two seperate iTunes accounts and still be able to use iMessage between these same two iPhones.

My wife and I have iPhones. We share an iTunes account and we want to keep it that way. My iMessages began showing up on her iPhone and vise versa. I figured out to go to settings, messages and have only the send/receive checked for our individual phone numbers. When we do that however, we no longer can send iMessages to each other and it goes over SMS. I don't want that. I want to be able to send and receive iMessages with my wife without having to have a seperate iTunes account and without each other seeing each others iMessages to other iMessage users. How do I do this?

Does anyone know how I can accomplish this? I have an ipod and have had my itunes account for years. I just bought a new nano for my wife, but I have been unable to set up a second, seperate itunes program and account on the same pc just for her. There are a number of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. Have a look at this article and see what you think and go for whichever you feel suits your needs best: How To Use Multiple iPods with One Computer
If you choose the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" you can create a playlist specifically for the new iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod (For a Nano that's around 1800MB for a 2G). You can read more about playlists at these links:

Just for clarification, Niel's directions set up a new user account on the computer with its own iTunes library, not an iTunes "account" as such. "Account" is a misnomer. iTunes itself doesn't have accounts on the computer (yes, the store has accounts but that isn't on your computer). You can create multiple libraries with collections of media under one computer user account but this can be tricky to manage and you may be best off creating a user account for your mother with her own iTunes collection in that. It is possible to share things on the computer.
