I've imported a Garage Band project but the instruments seem to be in a different key to the vocal. Any ideas why?
I did a project in Garage Band but want to finish and mix it in Logic Pro. The vocals are in the right key but the instruments (guitars and bass) are in another key. I did the project originally in C, then changed it to D in Garage Band and recorded the vocal track after that. Any ideas why the instruments seem to stil be in the original key and how to fix this?
Check/use the transpose section of the track/region inspector..... or Global transpostion... to set to correct/update the transposition value you want.

Any work you do in Lightroom is in the catalog. It is impossible to use Lightroom without a catalog.
In addition, your photos are filed in a specific location, which is determined when you import the photos (this may be a location you have specified or it may be the default location chosen by Lightroom).
So ... unless you specifically choose to delete your photos, your photos have not been deleted. To find them, open Lightroom and select File->Open Recent and select each catalog shown there until you find the one with your 170 photos.
And now ... a word to the wise: as gvb279 and Keith said, you absolutely need to stop doing whatever it is you are doing and learn the basics of Lightroom. You are clearly in need of such basic understanding. When i plug my ipod into my computer it is not recharging. The computer doesn't even acknowledge that it is plugged in. Any ideas why? It does have power left so i can use it but i want to recharge it of course. Any input is appreicated.
Plug it into the wall using the supplied charger.

I am perfectly aware of how to do this using the old version of itunes.
however i just got a new macbook pro retina... and it came with the latest version of itunes.
and i was trying to import/export garage band files between my ipad and mac via itunes.
and the option for apps, that is usually on the left side where you can then select garage band from in itunes, isnt there in the new version of itunes.
has anyone got a work around for this?

nicNic, for me the iTunes window looks like this, when I connect my iPad 3:
I select the iPad in the "devices" section of the Sidebar (use: "View > Show Sidebar" if the sidebar is hidden).
Click the "Apps" tab in the "Devices" pane.
Scroll all the way down in the Devices pane to "File Sharing" "Apps" section.
Then do I click "GarageBand" to select the documents in the right panel.
Which part is different for you? Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

How to import a garage band project from iMac to iPad?
Want to import a project going on the desktop iMac to iPad...everything's up to date...just don't see how. I see how to go in the other direction but not iMac to iPad, please help, thanks!
iMac toiPad is not yet supported. Only projects that have originally been created on an IOS device can be send to the iPad, see:

Projects you create in GarageBand for Mac also cannot be opened in GarageBand for iOS. -

Outlook is an e-mail client for Windows and OS X. It is not a type of e-mail account. Messages do not sync between Outlook and the phone. They sync between the phone and the mail server.

my email says does not allow relaying so i cant send email ?
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

I am developing material in Captivate 8. The option under Preferences to "restrict keyboard tabbing to slide items only" is definitely checked, but tabbing still leaves the project screen and moves into browser fields in both preview and published views. Any ideas why this is happening?

When you use manual transaction mode, you must set the SelectMethod property of the driver to Cursor, or make sure that you use only one active statement on each connection as specified in the "More Information" section of this article. -
While creating a project in Garage Band 09 my sample tracks were being cut short- I then discovered they had been overwritten in soundtrack pro.
Any ideas why? and how to get my tracks back?
I never opened soundtrack pro to edit the track just Garage band....the track just mysteriously saved as half the track.
I am running Lion and I upgraded my Garage band to '11 hoping it would resolve the issue...it didn't. Now I can't find that tracks at all.
The 2 songs having the issue are titled Exotic Yearning and Reunion.
I am in the process of reinstalling the audio content from my discs. I just don't want to run into this again.
Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!After spending some time reinstalling the soundtrack pro 3 content I opened the full track called Reunion.
It showed back up in Garage Band.*It was the full track and wasn't chopped off until I dragged it onto the project. Then it showed up chopped.
Then I closed Garaged band and opened soundtrack pro 3....The song was again chopped off at the 1:33min mark

"record enable" buttons not showing up in Garage Band 10.0.3 (I have selected "show record enable"- a space in the track header opens up, but the button is not present. Same with "input monitor".
Look at all the posts in the forum from users with similar problems, it happened with the last Logic update.

IMac into cam adaptor into garage band works,but GB only sees left channel.

Just downloaded Yosemite on my Mac and the Yosemite update for Garage Band. Now when I open an existing Garage Band project and click on a vocal track, a message window says, "Could not find General Audio 10" and have no smart controls for that track (reverb, etc.) Help?

Try this: Go to your menu bar, select "Garageband" and then "Restore Sound Library..."
It can take awhile to download as it's a pretty big library. You might need to also select "Update Sound Library..." after the restore is done. -
How do I change the image used on an movie project icon?
iMovie seems to select an image at random from the images I imported.Not sure I understand how to use what you have posted. Here's what my init() looks like:

Garage Band isn't reading my entire iTunes Library, am I missing something in the settings? how do I make entire library available?
In general, whatever you see in your iTunes app (playlists, songs, etc) should also be displayed in GarageBand when you select the Audio tab in the Media Browser.
One hidden feature is that you can have multiple iTunes Libraries (as you can have multiple iPhoto Libraries).
When you click on the iTunes icon in the Dock and immediately after the click hold down the option key, the following window will pop up.
It lets you create a new empty Library or choose to open a different existing Library (that you have created before). Whatever Library you chose the last time you opened iTunes will be the "current" iTunes Library and that is the one that is displayed in GarageBand. (it is a system wide preference). You even can have GarageBand open while switching to a different iTunes Libraries and GarageBand will update the displayed Media Browser content.

So in case you used that feature, you might see a different iTunes content than you expected.
(BTW, this "multiple Libraries" feature comes in also very handy with iPhoto, where you can have separate Libraries for you family, your band, your business, or whatever you want to separate photos. Also good for individual backups)
