i have a Canon 6d and would like to convert my raw ( CR2) photo's into dng files. Adobe DNG converter 8.4 doesn't recognise the CR2 files. How can i solve this?
It is possible that you are not following instructions correctly in the DNG converter. The DNG converter interface asks for the FOLDER that contains your raw images. Choose the folder, but don't open it. After you have chosen the folder, click on the Convert button. The DNG conversion process should start. Does that help you?

I'm currently trying to update a few programs on my good old (VERY old) Mac Powerbook, but I ran into an error when downloading Firefox version 3.6...I'm currently running Mac OS X 10.3.9, which isn't compatible with the most recent versions of Firefox (or anything, for that matter), but it should still allow an upgrade of version 3.6; however, once the file finished downloading, an error message popped up indicating there's a corrupt image file. Is there any way to work around/correct this problem, or am I stuck with my old version of Firefox until I bite the bullet and upgrade my OS??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Firefox 3.6 requires at least OS X 10.4, the last version of Firefox that runs on OS X 10.3.9 is Firefox 2.0.0.20 available from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/

Thank you for the additional information. In my opinion, you are better off with Win 7 Pro. It is an extremely stable OS. However, your findings are correct. There is no driver available for your video card with Win 7. I would try "Option 2" Automatically find drivers for my nVidia product. This will find the correct driver if one is available. You should be able to use a PSU up to 400W with no problems. Just make certain that the ATX power connector is correct (20/24 pins) for your motherboard. A computer will only use the amount of power that is required to run properly. The additional power is used during peak needs. I am going to be frank. Your computer is over 11 years old. In technology terms this is far older than the dinosaurs. A new computer that is the bottom of the line would be light-years faster. Here are two computers that actually have Win 7 64-bit. I am not an employee of HP, but have been using HP computers since 2001. They have always been very reliable. OK, try this: First make sure that all anti-virus software & any firewalls are completely turned off...nothing running. Then do the following:
Turn your phone off...in your case, it's already off, so proceed: Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

It disappeared from my inbox and a caption related to the email appeared at the bottom of my subsequent emails. I have been unable to find the original email. So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

I am trying to crop a portrait photo into 6x4 portrait ready for printing. I am using Iphoto on a Macbook Pro. Everytime I try and crop the photo, it crops in Landscape which cuts out most of the photo. Is there any way of resolving this? I am new to Macs as I am currently switching from MS. It is very easy to do this in MS photo editor so I can't believe it can't be easily done in Iphoto!

i just bought a new Macbook Pro and loaded all my info from My old Macbook...now i can't remember for the life of me my Admin Password (which i created 3 years ago)...is there ANY WAY to bypass this on my new Macbook Pro and begin again...?
I assume that you don't have the installation discs, so:
1. Reboot
2. Hold command + s key down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get a text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
(Type these commands very carefully)
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. You will go through the setup process again, create a new admin account, login to it and then change your existing account password or whatever else you need to do. You can delete the account you made in this process, or not. -

Sure, just use Handbrake to encode the DVD movie into a format that is playable on iTunes and on your iPad:

My computer has stopped recieving charge. The charger is in great condition, but it will not register, nor charge my computer. I do not know if its my mac or the charger. Is there any way to fix this?
Do you have another charger to test with?
It is very possible that somehow the wire might have gotten bent without your knowledge and that is why it is not working.
If you have an Apple store near you, you might want to set up a genius appointment so that they can test it for you.
