I want my Shopping Cart back  iTunes 9

How many of you want the Shopping Cart back in iTunes 9
I just went to add something to my cart today and noticed it was gone, replaced by Wish List, hidden at the bottom of the iTunes store.
Please Apple, at least move the Wish List to the menu near the link for the store. I don't know why you are hiding it!

I want my Shopping Cart back too. The Wish List feature is awful and poorly designed. Shopping Cart was so easy to navigate through - all on one page - whereas, Wish List is one cluttered and confusing page after page, often times not allowing you to delete songs from your list. Apple fixed something that wasn't broken - and ticked off many of their customers in the process.
Please, anyone who feels this way, email Apple Support and make your voice be heard.

  • I WANT MY SHOPPING CART BACK!!!!!!!!

I dont mind the shopping cart is now a "wish list", but there are several serious problems:
    1. In "genius recommendation", which i use, It used to be all "add to cart" so i can think about it and buy later. Now its all "buy it now". Thank god i look closely first or i would be stuck with it.
    2. ITunes 9 now offer too much opportunity to make bad pushcases and of course there is no recourse with Apple. What if i click the wrong song button? I want my shopping cart so i can be SURE of what i am getting so i can REVIEW WHAT I CLICKED.
    3. Therefore, Apple MUST ADD BACK THE SHOPPING CART. It is a sneaky way to make sure consumers make accidental purchases and blame the customer. It must be corrected.

  • Get your shopping cart back

OK everyone. I have the answer. Itunes 9 doesn't have the function of buying all.
You'll need to go back to the previous itunes 8. I downloaded mine from here.
    ww.mydigitallife.info/2009/06/28/apple-itunes-8-2-and-quicktime-7-6-2-direct-dow nload-links/
Then it will say your library is not able to be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes.
Just go to the folder "previous itunes libraries" pick the latest one from before you upgraded. and rename it to "itunes libraries.itl" replace the file with the same name in itunes 9 with this one and you'll get your shopping cart back.
Personally I convert every itunes song to mp3 with a media converter to avoid losing songs if itunes ever does something stupid like this.
    Hope that helps

I have been having the exact same problem for several days now - ever since I upgraded to 7.3.1. I get the same message about the cart's contents changing, and I've tried emptying the cart and adding everything again. I've also tried changing my preferences to "buy using 1-click" and back again. I only use one computer for all my purchasing/playing. Finally emailed Apple about it and quoted the error message, but I have yet to hear anything. I was just glad to finally find another person with this same problem! The only thing I can think is that the program is getting confused because of the price difference for the enhanced iTunes Plus content, but I've never enabled that option and I'm just using the .99 versions.
Anyway, I'm in the same boat! I'll post again if I get an answer from Apple on this. Somehow I get the feeling that they've got their hands full with all the other errors that came with the 7.3.1 update...stupid iPhone is ruining everything!

  • Cannot access shopping cart in iTunes store.

I can access the iTunes store just fine; however, I can't get to my shopping cart.
I can no longer access my shopping cart. I clicked on it today and was prompted to agree to new terms and conditions; I did so. I was then forwarded to another screen which indicated my purchase could not be completed at this time, and my selection in the left-hand column was automatically changed from 'Shopping Cart' to 'iTunes Store.' From this point, whenever I've selected 'Shopping Cart' I've received an error prompt (Unknown error 5002).
I decided to update my iTunes version, but that has not helped at all.

Spent a while in the "loop" myself (agreeing to new terms for iTunes 7.6 (29), then reviewing my account info.) - now I'm out of the loop but still getting the 5002 error. I tried signing out & signing back in, quitting, restarting, fiddling with one-click, and everything else I've seen in various discussion boards. Still no luck.
    Anybody have any definitive answer???

  • No More Shopping Cart in iTunes V9

After upgrading to iTunes V9 I noticed there is no more shopping cart. I queried iTunes support via chat and they confirmed:
"In the iTunes 9 there is no longer a shopping cart"
Yipes! I liked being able to stage items and then get recommendations and then add & subtract. I then did my purchasing en masse later, not item by item. It was more convenient, I could consider my purchases and find related items. I could also time a large purchase against available funds, etc.
Apple responds straight out of Zig Zigler:
"I understand. Am sorry for the inconvenience it may cause"
I realize there is a wishlist feature, but that doesn't propose items or function as nicely as the cart once did.
For me this is one step forward and two steps back. Nuts !!!

Not only was I ****** to find out that my shopping cart was gone, but I'm LIVID that when I tried to reinstall 8.21, IT CANNOT READ my iTunes because it was created by a different version.
    WAY TO GO Apple!
If you're going to remove a MAJOR feature, you should either make it an attention grabbing notification BEFORE you upgrade, or you should make it easy to return to a previous version. Especially one that is sneaky enough that you actually end up buying things that you intended for your shopping cart. Due to the attachment I have for my music, that borders on misrepresentation, if you ask me.
I'm becoming increasingly unhappy with Apple's 'improvements'. This latest rollback issue just pushed it over the edge. Everything has become geared toward the iPhone (which, even if I could afford it and the plan that goes with it, is not supported by the carriers in my area) and the Nano (how can I fit 100+ GB of music on a Nano?). I am perfectly happy with my iPod 'classic' and have no reason to update, especially given the current economy. It annoys the **** out of me that iPhone software appears in my Apple update, even though I don't own one. If you want me to buy one (and I would love to do so), you could start by allowing ALL mobile carriers to carry it. But I digress...
Further, it seems that somehow my number of times a song has been played has broken, as has Recently Played Songs. When I plugged in after upgrading to 9.0, the songs I'd been listening to in the car all week did not have any numbers next to them (and yes, I was looking at the iPod list and not the iTunes list). When I checked the actual iPod itself (not plugged in) for recently played songs, NONE of the songs I'd played in the last week are there. They don't show up in the iTunes GUI, either. I don't know when this happened, but it's another annoyance. I really, really, really, really, really hate it when companies create features, let you get used to them and using them, and then take them away for something that's supposedly better. Rarely is it better.
Unfortunately for me, I've become so dependent upon my iPod (and tight in the cash department, and do not have access to a network for the iPhone), that changing to another MP3 player is really not an option. So, the question then is, does anyone know how to revert your database back without going to a previous restore point in Windows?

  • I want to purchase several songs at a time. Is there a shopping cart in iTunes?

I am trying to download several songs from iTunes stores. There seems to be no provision for adding many songs and check out. Every time I click on a song, I am asked a password, then billing information and the card is charged. So, is I wish to download, say, 12 songs, I shall have to download 12 times? I am in India.

There isn't a cart or basket - you will need to buy each item individually.

  • Error 5002 - when trying to access shopping cart in iTunes

I've noticed some people had this error yesterday & it was apparently resolved, but I'm getting error 5002 today. Is this the same problem? Will it be sorted soon?

We are experiencing this sudden error now too. Up until last night, we were accessing our Cart. But, then after adding one more song and deleting some from the cart, we got the error and cannot access the account from any machine. In addition to this one, we have a brand new iMAC "24, dual Intel; a PowerBook G4, and a Gateway Laptop running XP. None of the machines can access this Cart. Our other iTunes account is fine, without problem. But, this account's cart is inaccessible. I can find no solution.

  • Shopping cart disappeared in iTunes 9

I just updated to iTunes 9, and overall I love it. However, I noticed that my shopping cart just disappeared. Anyone know what happened? Are there no more shopping carts in iTunes 9? Wish I had known that before I upgraded!

No, it's not the same at all! In iTunes8 you had a preference that said "Put items in cart". That meant that every other "buy" link essentially put things in a cart where you could review them before spending the money.
This is COMPLETELY different. Now you can do something much more complicated to put things on your wish list. The new behavior is to TAKE YOUR MONEY IMMEDIATELY. A single mis-click costs you money and they won't give you a refund.
All iTunes users should complain to Apple that reversing the meaning of a purchase control with no change to the user interface is not "Nice", it is Evil. Bad, bad, Apple.

  • Accidental Purchase / Shopping Cart / Pending Download

I clicked on a film rental on my phone and because i had just downloaded an app a few minutes earlier it didn't ask me for my password and started to download it.
I paused the download and went on iTunes and followed the link to contact apple.
I explained what happened and wanted to find out how to remove it from the download section.
I was surprised that someone wrote back and said they had refunded the money and that i should use shopping cart on itunes to prevent this happening.
I did some digging and found out (i got an automated email from apple that seems like its out of date) one click is now the only way according to stuff i found on google anyway and has been since itunes was updated? Anyway i still havent downloaded the film but i cant delete it from the pending section of my downloads on the iphone which is what i was really bothered about.
I wrote back days ago but nobody has come back to me... couple of questions.
Is there a way to stop the download (i cant see any way and when i touch the screen it starts downloading again)technically i haven't paid so i wasnt gunna watch it.
Has shopping cart gone and is there another way around one click - i deleted my bank details so figure it cant charge me if it doesnt have any and was thinking i might just buy itunes vouchers?

The Shopping Cart feature was removed several months back. There isn't any way around the "one-click" other than just being careful.
i deleted my bank details so figure it cant charge me if it doesnt have any and was thinking i might just buy itunes vouchers?
It would charge your vouchers, or if you don't have sufficient credit balance will probably carry a negative balance and prevent you from purchasing anything else until you make up the balance. So removing your credit card is not a reliable method of preventing an inadvertent purchase. Sorry, but being careful not to buy what you don't want is the only avenue.
    Regards.

  • Changing "Check Shopping Cart" screen and Completion workflow

    Hi,
Below i describe a) the current process, b) the required changes, and c) my questions.
Though it is also about workflows i still thought this was the best place to post the thread.
    Current process:
In the process "free text order" i choose Go Shopping >> Shop >> Describe Requirement. I fill in details and complete the next steps.
Now the Completion workflow (WS14000044) has started.
So if I now look on my homepage in SRM i have an approval item which reads:
       Approval
You can approve or reject shopping carts and read your e-mails relating to the procurement transaction
       You have
       -  1 Workflow Entries in Inbox
       -  0 Unread Documents in Inbox
So i open the list and find one item: Complete shopping cart of mr X.. Now i click on the item and it takes me to "Check Shopping Cart"
At the bottom of the screen is one button: "Change"
    Requirements:
    1)  add two buttons to this screen. One button is "Reject", to reject the shoppping cart directly. The second button "Mail Requester" to send the shopping cart back to the requester and also sends a mail via outlook to inform the requester that this has happened and requesting more information.
    2)  these buttons should then influence the behaviour of the Completion Workflow. In this workflow (WS14000044) the task Completion (TS14007947) currently has one activated outcome. From my two buttons i would need two more outcomes that allow me to model the other actions that i need i.e. the rejection outcome and the back-to-requester/send-mail outcome.
    Questions:
    1)  is it allowed/possible to add the buttons to the existing screens. Or do i need to create a custom screen and call that instead of the standard screen?
    2)  is it allowed/possible to modify the completion workflow as described? Or do i need to copy and then modify?
    3)  How could i make the buttons to interact with the workflow? The only thing i can think of is to create a Z-bus object of the object Form and to modify so that it show my expected outcomes.
    4)  any helpful links to sdn posts of blogs or otherwise on how to go about to create the necessary changes.
    Thx for your input
    Kind regards
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Again, before technical solutioning, we need to step back and understand the business process and functions of each role (e.g., Buyer, Financial Approver) in the completion and approval workflow.
Here's my understanding of the as-is (correct me if I am wrong). You are using One-Step Spending Limit WF (10000276) for financial approval. This is done by a Financial Approver (I am guessing, the line manager). The Buyer is not part of the process. Now, you want to introduce free-text requisitioning, and, consequently, you want to introduce the Buyer role into the workflow process - to complete the free-text lines (e.g. with vendor, price).
Based on above scenario, I believe your initial solution was not incorrect - introduce Completion WF (14000044) for the completion task, while keeping 10000276 for financial approval.
Now the business wants the Buyer to play a more active role in the process. They want to be able to Reject (the whole cart?) and Inquire (send the cart back to requester with questions). In my mind, it may still be possible to explore keeping the original design with Completion WF without modifying it, and still achieve the business needs. You can explore different ways of doing that: delete SC items instead of Rejecting, add Approval Comments to inquire, etc.
Alternatively, you can replace all your workflows with one - WS14000133 "Spending limit, n-step,
dynamic approvers (BAdI)". Here, you can determine your approvers flexibly via a BAdI implementation. For example:
    1. If Total Amount =< Spending Limit of Purchaser, then no approval agents - auto-approve SC.
    2. If Total Amount > Spending Limit of Purchaser AND there're no free-text lines, then determine Financial Approver.
    3. If Total Amount > Spending Limit of Purchaser AND there're incomplete free-text lines, then determine Buyer; once free-text lines completed - then Financial Approver.
WS14000133 also has back-and-forth functionality which you can use for the inquiries. WS14000133 provides the most flexibilty, but it also involves more effort to implement. Read up on WS14000133 at help.sap.com.
Bottom line - I would focus on evaluating these two standard options: 14000044 with 10000276, or 14000133. You may need to do some pros/cons, cost/benefit analysis. But I see no need to modify or copy SAP templates in your case.
    Cheers,
    Serguei

  • Change Shopping Cart Workflow

Trying to figure out a way to route the shopping cart back to the requestor at all points during the approval process. There are customizations made to the workflow such as a finance reviewer, a commodity approver, manager (org hierarchy) and a financial approver (for $50K+). Client wants shopping cart to come back to approver at any point. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Basically, what we want to do is to route the shopping cart back to the requestor at any point in the approval process. Commodity Approval is based on material group, Manager Approval is based on shopping cart amount and org hierarchy, CFO approval is based on shopping cart amounts over $500k.Approval amounts are nased on a Z-Table. Using workflow WS14000133 n-step approval of shopping cart (BADI)
Thanks for the response so far! Let me know if you need any additional info MJ!

  • How to re-start the workflow for Shopping carts in WAITING status

    Hi
We are using 1-step approval work flow, and we get some strange issue. We can add approver in the workflow, but after we click order button and back to check status again, sometimes there will be "Ad-hoc agent not found" issue. Do you know how to solve?
And one workaround for user is to re-add the approval, and sometimes the shopping cart back to normal. But sometimes, after we add the approver, the shopping cart are in waiting status:
    Workflow Item:
    Workitem-ID 000000714642
    Task WS10000276
Text One-Step Approval: Value limit: Shopping Cart
    1000114698
    Status WAITING
    Statustext Waiting
    Date 13.06.2008
    Time 10:41:22
So may I ask how to re-trigger the workflow?

    Hi,
Thx for that. I need to trigger the Approval workflow to go the the approval manager.
Can u give me the document on this? thx,  kerry.liu [at] ap.effem.com.
    Thx very much

  • BAPI_SCEC_CREATE - how to get the shopping cart to go to our workflow

    Dear experts,
When a shopping cart is created using BAPI_SCEC_CREATE, it will get approved automatically. We want the shopping cart to go through our approval workflow. Is there any way to achieve this? I saw threads on similar question but there's no solution. It seems to be related to Sourcing relevant indicator (SOURCE_REL_IND) in table BBP_PDIGP. I've tried executing BAPI_SCEC_CREATE followed by BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT and then BBP_PDIGP_DB_DIRECT_UPDATE to reset the SOURCE_REL_IND. However, it didn't work.
Does anyone know how to get the shopping cart created by BAPI_SCEC_CREATE to go to a workflow?
    Thanks,
    Lara

    Hello Lara,
When a shopping cart is created using BAPI_SCEC_CREATE, it will get approved automatically. We want the shopping cart to go through our approval workflow. Is there any way to achieve this?
Have a look at SRM article below:
[Enable SRM Workflow for External Purchase Requisitions|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/5082a622-7310-2c10-1a9b-ef31dd69a770]
It seems to be related to Sourcing relevant indicator (SOURCE_REL_IND) in table BBP_PDIGP.
    Check your customizing:
(in SRM 7.0) SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Sourcing > Define Sourcing for Product Categories
Depending on product category you used when creating your SC, its items are relevant or not for Sourcing.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • How do i switch to shopping cart

How do I switch to shopping cart in itunes store?

There isn't a shopping cart in the iTunes store, you can only buy items one-at-a-time. You can add items to your wish list, but again you can only buy items from that one-at-a-time.
