Can't load Google Calendar. I'm getting this message: "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page" but unchecking the box for "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" has not helped. I'm using Firefox 3.6.3 on Mac OS 10.6.3. It's not reported as a generalised problem in Dashboard. Google Calendar opens and works fine on my 12" PowerBook G4, but this is a recent problem on my G5 13" MacBook Pro. Mayday!

No I'm not using NoScript, but I'm pleased to report that the problem got resolved by deleting the original bookmark, logging in again, opening Google calendar, then bookmarking it again.

This happens almost every time I begin a new page and Firefox will not allow the page to continue uploading. I have to tell it to allow every time, even on pages I've 'allowed' in the past.

The Redirection option is an Accessibility feature for people with Disabilities so that they will know when a page is going to be reloaded. It is not a Security feature.

In this particular case, I was on a page that offered group discounts ("deals") that can be purchased for a limited time. To make the purchase, I needed to click onto the link with the name of the deal being offered. However, upon clicking on that link, I received the message from Firefox that it was preventing the page from automatically directing to another page i.e. the page that would have allowed me to make my purchase. Please answer quickly since the deal I want to purchase expires in three hours!

That depends on why it won't open. Most of the time it means the file is corrupted and unlikely to be recovered. If you saved it right after adding or copying a LOT of layers - then it might just be the layer limit and we can attempt to recover it.

I tried deleting FireFox and reinstalling it multiple times, and a message pops up sometimes that says FireFox may not have installed correctly, so I follow the steps, but all the extra icons on my desktop don't go away. This has happened every time I have downloaded FireFox. The browser itself works, but I need to know how to get rid of these icons, but still be able to use FireFox. This is on a new computer, with Windows 7.

Managed to solve this myself. Just went to properties > hidden.

Siebel App is getting hung for a while when i try to redirect to screen.

When i try to redirect particular screen, siebel application is getting hang for some time for thick client and at last its displaying tha page, its showing connection time out page when i try in thin client. This behaviour can be reproducible for 3 specific logins only for other logins its working quite fast. help me out to solve this issue.

Hi,
Check the applets in the view & the BC. Is the BC or Applet has any searchspec on it? If so, check whether INDEX has been created fore the respective column of the fields. This could be main reason. Create INDEX and try again. (Because in your case no error is appearing in the screen.)

In my e-mal log the boxes for me to delete have dissappeared, dashes now show where the square box use to be

Each email entry begins with a boxes to check, if you want to delete separate or multiply listing. The boxes are now dashes the only way I can delete an email is to tag on to it, which it will open the email. I get a lot of adds and if I don't know where they're from I could go in and enter a check mark in each box and they would delete all email where I entered the check mark. Not anymore I don't know what happen

My MacBook Pro does not pass the startup grey screen. When I try to do a reinstall the computer doesn't even read the disk. I can't even boot in safe mode. I'm being told that it MAY be a motherboard issue, I'm just wondering has anyone else had this prob

I don't know what is wrong with my Mac. An authorized retailer can't pinpoint the issue.. Does Apple have a recall for motherboard failures? We have only had it for 2 years.

try booting your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the Mac OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it get past the grey startup screen now?

Even free apps have limits on where they can be downloaded. Either the app maker does not want to release it in Kuwait or (more likely) he/she does not have the rights or permits to release it in Kuwait.

Every time I try to add album art work to some albums nothing happens, it's the same for the metadata. Nothing changes when I try to change artwork/genre/artist etc. Any help?

You should still disable this setting:
*Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
What is the value of the accessibility.blockautorefresh pref on the about:config page?
