I want to update my payment information but it keeps saying my security code is invalid and my payment method was declined. However, I got a short message from my bank saying the charge by Apple was successful?  How could it be if the payment information was invalid?

  • Firefox will open 4 or 5 tabs fine, but then will not load any further websites after those first 4 or 5, or allow you to refresh one of those first tabs -- including about:config and the addon page

    Firefox 5 worked fine. I installed Firefox 7, and when I ran it, tabs would just say "connecting to..." and hang. Restarting did not help. Websites open fine in IE and Chrome. Disabled all firewalls and antivirus, did not help. Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 5, everything worked fine again. This was using Vista 64-bit.
    Upgraded to Windows 7, uninstalled Firefox 5, installed Firefox 7, had same problem. Uninstalled Firefox 7 completely (including the profile information, I saved that information in another folder), restarted computer, and installed Firefox 7 using a completely clean profile. Did not install any add-ons, checked to make sure all plug-ins were up-to-date, and updated plugins.
    Now when I start Firefox, I can load 3 or 4 or 5 tabs fine -- after those first few tabs are open, I cannot open or refresh any other tabs -- including about:config and the add-on manager -- I have to restart Firefox. The hangup doesn't appear to be related to what websites I am attempting to open, but it looks like the number is the problem. I have run through all of the FAQ procedures, including changing the max number of network connections to 48, and the problem does not seem to go away.
    As a side note, I had this same problem when I tried to go from version 5 to version 6 as well. Version 5 is the most recent version that worked on my system.

    it sounds like your work changed something on their network.  Try asking your IT people if they recently blocked any ports related to remote management or changed their firewall settings to block incoming connections.

  • I am a Netflix user I am also a Linux user. I would also like to use Firefox but you do not provide any DRM support. When will this change?

    Perhaps then is when I start using Firefox again. I don't like the idea of having to have a different browser for each different thing I want a browser to do, that would be rediculous. What other details could you possibly need? I like having the choice to use or not use DRM material and your lack of providing that choice is objectionable, just as objectionable as it is for DRM providers, ie: Nook for PC, to not support my choice as a Linux user. I'm sure I'm going to miss Firefox, I've been using it for about 15 years now. I no longer buy any Nook books! I support your choice of not supporting Linux in this way if its your attitude that Linux users are only 2% or 3% of the worlds OS users anyway. Another reason to believev in Google, a great browser, as well as Earth, Maps, Search, OS, and digitizing the worlds libraries. All honorable endevors by what seems to be a more and more honorable company all the time. Why don't you (Firefox) fully support HTML 5 yet? What seems to be the hold-up?     This is a good question!
    Firefox has traditionally lagged behind other browsers in terms of DRM support, because DRM is a thorny issue for Mozilla. Mozillians believe in an open web controlled by the users - with users having the power to remix and create new content. DRM restricts what users can do and runs counter to that.
    However, [https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/05/14/drm-and-the-challenge-of-serving-users/ things are changing]. Some [https://hacks.mozilla.org/2014/05/reconciling-mozillas-mission-and-w3c-eme/ very clever folks are working] to integrate a new DRM technology (called EME) into Firefox. EME has been advocated by many of the big players in the industry (including Netflix) - so, hopefully, both Firefox and Netflix will eventually work with EME.
    EME is [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1089858 scheduled to land in Firefox 37], due to be released in the second week of April 2015. But this is tentative - so it could well be later.

    If it is in the process of installing, then stopping it now may well result in an inoperative computer. By rights you should not lose any data. But you should consider a backup strategy straight away after the install is complete. Some of your programs may be PPC based and will no longer work in Mountain Lion, but we can deal with that when your install is complete.

  • IMovie "lost" two clips in my 20-minute project, but I did NOT delete any clips...?!?!?

    This is for iMovie on iPhone 4. 
    Basically I've put HOURS into editing a 20-minute movie on my phone.  This is intentionally on my phone just for the sake of being able to say "I shot these clips and photos and edited the movie entirely on my phone", in case you're wondering why I'd do this crazy task.  haha
    Anyway.. so.. I load up the project today (after having not looked at it for months) and now suddenly two clips are shown as no longer being existant.   Now.. I definitely have NOT removed these clips - in fact a quick check with Image Capture (or simply looking in my photo album) proves that they are ALL still on the phone.
    Is there any way for,  for one thing, to see what exact filename (like IMG_0123.MOV) the clips were?   Or SOMETHING?   It would honestly take me a couple of hours to track down the exact clips because of how many different video clips are in this movie, and I'd have to eliminate them one by one.  Not to mention having to re-place them into the movie manually and *try* to remember how I had trimmed the clips.   ARGH
    Hope anyone can offer some help on this...  definitely not impressed at all...

    I've also manually gone through and visually counted every single file.  There is not a single file missing in the numbering sequence ( IMG_0640 all the way to IMG_0936 ).
    The ONLY thing I can think of is that, a week or so ago, the iPhone randomly decided to "rebuild your photo library" for some reason (probably because I have a few thousand photos/clips).  However, ALL files are still present, so it would not make sense that iMovie randomly can't see files that are certainly there....

    Thanks for responding but I had already done all before posting my question andI was all up to date and it still said what it said. I have a feeling it is a disk problem, sometjing in my hard drive and I may need a new computer as this one is almost 5 years old and I have had other issues similar to this where a missing disk need to be located and I have had to refragment the computer twice in the past year.     You won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

  • I have owned my MacBook Pro for several months.  Initially, I did not have any problems.  Now I have a problem with Yahoo Mail.  I can open my account, but when I try to get at my mail, 2 out of 3 times I get the spinning ball that never stops.  Now what?

    I have owned my MacBook Pro for several months without having any problems with it. Recently I am having trouble with my Yahoo Mail.  I can open it fine, but 2 out of 3 times when I try to actually open a message, the spinning ball comes on the screen and does not stop. Sometimes, I can log out or force quit and come back in to my account and use it.  Other times, I run into the same problem.  Any suggestions?

    Get the correct settings for your account from Yahoo and set it up manually.

  • I forgot my security questions. I went to reset them, but I did not recieve any email address, even in the spam folder.

    I wanted to download a certain book that was in the iBooks store. I bought an iTunes gift card ($25) and when I tried to buy the book, it said that I had to answer my security questions, which I forgot. I went to my apple id and tried to click on the link that would send an email to you to reset your security questions and for the past hour I didn't recieve a single email. I even checked my spam/junk folder!

    I have gone though this process yesterday and worked for me.
    I would suggest you to have following things handy before calling Apple
    1. Serial number of apple device which is associated with ur apple id
    2. At least one answer to your old security questions
    3. And you should be logged on to my account page of apple Id so that when customer care demands generation of 4 digit code you can do it.
    This complete process is very simple but may take some time but apple guy was very helpful in my case.
    Also remember the answers to the security questions are case sensitive.
