RWRUN60 is a part of "Oracle From6i Developer Suit". If you want to run report on desktop client than you have to install "Form6i Developer Suit" on every client where report is needed.
I was facing the same issue and it was a difficult job to install "Form6i Developer Suit" on each client. So, I done the followings.
1. Configured Oracle Application Express
2. Created Required Application in Oracle Application Express
3. Installed "Oracle 10g Developer Suit" and configured "PDF Report Services"
4. Now, each user is running the application through URL and I have saved my time of installations.

One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:

Error in running Jasper Reports for more than 100 users in stress test

I have created a web application with Jasper reports. during the stress test, we were able to run the same report simultaneously for 100 concurrent users, after that we get the following error. I hope there is no problem in my code (correct me if i am wrong)

if this really cannot find the file, then how could it run successfully for 100 users?

ummm seems odd to have 100 users making a report.. that can be the limitation of your application..

Run big report in PDF hangs though the PDF file was created in server

When running Oracle reports6i big master-details-details report(220 pages) in PDF format thru report server CGI on Netscape Enterprise Web server, it hangs. But the pdf file was created when checking in the server and is good when it's viewed directly using IE. Also checked the http://domain_name:8083/cgi-bin/reportcgi/showjobs?server=repsrv, the Job Status was 'FINISHED'.
The HTTP_error_Log in the server is:
[17/Feb/2004:13:31:42] failure (28995): for host 63.237.37.70 trying to POST /cgi-bin/reportcgi, cgieng_scan_headers reports: the CGI program /usr/netscape/elecprod/cgi-bin/reportcgi did not produce a valid header (read failed, error is Resource temporarily unavailable).
Please help as our users demand it urgently.

1) This bug734197 is fixed in version 3.0.5.13.0, which means it should be available in 6i (the version you are using) also. But from the bug description I see that it is reproduced with Reports 6.0.5.28.0 version also. If your reports 6i version is higher than this, it may contain this fix. Best thing is to apply the latest patch. The patches should be available in metalink (metalink.oracle.com) .
2) For troubleshooting purposes run the report in html/rtf and see whether it times out. ( just to see whether
this is a PDF specific issue)
3) Disable acrobat web integration (in Adobe acrobat settings) and try . This will prevent Acrobat reader from opening the pdf automatically and instead will show a dialog to save the pdf report ( There are some IE - Adobe issues which are not reports bugs).
4) There were some threads some time back which had this problem with long running reports and PDF. Finally it turned out to be webserver timeout problems. Pls see ( this is for 9i servlet and Apache webserver, but for 6i also it could be similar)

5) If these does not work and if you are not able to make further progress, I suggest you to get in touch with Oracle Support (if you have a support contract) to solve this issue. [ If the possibility is that the bug you are mentioning is not pushed forward to 6i (a remote chance) then only they will be able to a get a oneoff patch.]

For each Material it details all invoices created for that material including the quantity invoiced, the actual Unit Cost for invoiced quantity and the actual   amount invoiced. For each material/Vendor combination, it totals and compares the actual quantity, Unit Cost, and the amount with standard quantity, Unit Cost and amount. The amount difference   equals the   total   deviation.

Arabic in PDF not displaying arabic on nexus 7(2013)

I cannot read a speecific pdf on my nexus 7 (2013) that is written in arabic. The pdf is fine on my computer however. The text is moved and not apparent on my nexus 7. Other Pdf's written arabic appear fine. This one seems to have a problem.

Not able run the report in PDF format

I'm using Report Builder 9.0.4.0.33 (10g). I'm able to generate salry slip for 1 emplyee,2 or 3 in pdf format but when it is more than 1000, in pdf format only
it gives following error
REP-1922: Internal error
REP-50125: Caught exception: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\DOCUME~1\VISHWA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\cmp04501596 (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)
REP-1922: PDF compression error
REP-1922: PDF compression error
But its running correctly in paper layout for 1000 employee.

Whether you can able to get the output in the remaining destinations like html,rtf,etc ?. Let's try with PDFCOMP=0 in the commandline and generate the report. This is could be a possible workaround . Please update me on the result.
For information on PDFCOMP, have a look at the section 'CommandLine Keywords' in the document 'Publishing Reports Manual' ( http://download.oracle.com/docs/pdf/B14048_01.pdf).

How to Run a Report from Desktop in Oracle 10g without using Web

I want to run a report from desktop (report which is developed in oracle report developer 10g), for that i have created shortcut. But when i double click on that shortcut it gives me followig error
"Report name, database connection, and reports server name (unless using local runtime, i.e. reports server call is local) properties must be specified for successful report run"
the path which is defined in the shortcut of report is as follow

You can use rwrun. Since 9.0.2 , it is no more possible to DISPLAY the output on the screen , but you can generate a file (HTML , PDF , RTF , ..) and then open the file generated.
EX: rwrun report=c:\temp\myrep.rdf destype=file desname=c:\temp\myrep.pdf desformat=pdf userid=scott/tiger@mydb P_1=param1_value ...

Exporting report to PDF error

This code has worked for years, but now I'm getting the following error when programmatically exporting a report to PDF:
"File does not begin with %PDF-"
My environment info:
Crystal Reports Developer XI Release 2 sp1
VS 2005 - .NET 2.0
IIS 6
Few lines of code used to export:

Hi folks, you're never gonna guess in a million years what the issue was. Yes, I finally found the problem. In my code where the db connection properties are set for the Crystal report document, it gets the values from the app's db connection string in the web.config (the one that ISD creates). It parses that string to set the properties, but it doesn't handle a "trusted connection" setting in that string. Well, some time ago, I set that db connection string to a "trusted connection" setting (to test something), so the app continued to work fine, and I never set it back to a fixed user id and pw. So, the actual problem was that the Crystal report was encountering a db connection problem, but it was spitting out a bogus message of "File does not begin with %PDF-". The strange thing, that isn't resolved yet, is why is the "problem" not throwing an exception or causing an error prior to the export/stream process. The only logical conclusion is that Crystal doesn't attempt to connect to the database until the export/stream process begins, and then it's too late and spits out an error message in the stream that is not in a proper PDF file format.
These issues are the kinda things that make you want to throw your monitor out the window. Once again, my love/hate relationship with Crystal Reports over the past 12 years has gone to the "hate" side. Thanks for your willingness to help.
BTW, the way I figured it out was to use the CrystalReportViewer and run the report - sure enough, it displayed the db connection error message, which led me down the right path.

Hi, in first place, sorry for my english.
For save your report in PDF... in a button in forms, on trigger WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED, yo have to create a parameter list:

And then, add the next parameter to your parameter list:

Beginner trying to use Jasper Reports

Hi,
I am a beginner in implementing report generation. I want to use Jasper reports to convert my xml to pdf using the ireport plugin in Netbeans
Presently i have an input xml, i do not want to make an JDBC connection or an database connection, i am using another tool to generate xml output from the database.
i get my input xml and i want to convert into pdf, is there any way to do that??

Integrate jsf, jboss and jasper reports

Hi there!
I've a problem with integration jboss with jasper reports and jsf. Which jasper classes do I have to place on a server and what jboss files do I need to configure? How can I run jasper report from the jsf page? Any information on this subject will be very usefull.

Unless I have totally misunderstood your question, I think you have posted this question in the wrong forum. This forum is dedicated to developer questions about JSR 208 (Java Business Integration), a specification from the JCP that describes a service-oriented integration architecture. In this realm, integration means getting separate applications and messaging systems to interoperate, when they were never designed to do so. Your question sounds like you want to install particular technologies into jboss; this is a very different use of the term "integration".
