I2C test and programming with NI UXB-8451

hi,
i want to ask how to see the waveform of 8451 with the example programming.
It is because i want to clarify if it is working and sending the right data to my slave.
actually i modify the program as i only want to send 255 set 1byte data to the I2C with some delay time
can i make use the general I2C write example? i find it is 0 at the read/write bit, so it is write or read? i am confuse when i saw the waveform once a while in the CRO but then i can never catch them again.

Hi,
The output of the NI-845x I2C Write Read.vi is an array you could connect that array to a Graph or Chart to visually see it or you could use Build Waveform to build the array into a waveform data type.
As for the General I2C Write Example, currently it is only setup to Write but you could add the read functionality by adding a similar configuration to that of the General I2C Read example. Some more information about the you being able to see the waveform or what you are doing would be helpful.

Interface with I2C SDA and SCL with PCI 6224 digital ouputs in C/C++

I am trying to use the pci 6224 in order to send SDA and SCL to an I2C. I have been able to control the Digital Output, but I have been unsuccessful with generating a clock source to satify the I2C. I am writing this code in C/C++. Any ideas or examples would surely be appreciated. I need a good starting point, but I have not been able to find any useful examples that have worked. I am using the SCB-68 and I am trying to use my digital multi-meter to verify my code.
I have looked at the examples provided, but is there a description of these functions that are being called using the NIDAQmx.h?

The counter will give you control of the clock frequency and duty cycle. However, this card also has correlated DIO, which means that you can clock your digital lines. Because of this, you can write a specific pattern (101010) to the buffer and just have it continuously output. However, you will have to write this in a way that you know what values you're writing based on the part of the clock you're at.
My I2C implemetation knowledge isn't the greatest, so I do not know how big each of your communication packets will be, but one implemetation would be to write your data in packets to regulate your SDA and SCL lines. The WriteDigChan-ExtClk is the best option that shows how to write a digital channel with a clock. You will just need to modify the DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming( function call. The second input should be changed from "/Dev1/PFI0" to OnboardClock or NULL. Hope this helps!

I have run the program to check a problem that I'm having. The particularly with video, and also volume structure. TEchTool Delux reports a failure for both of these components.
I am wondering if this is realistic or not, given the start-up screen for TechTool Delux mentions on start-up that it has yet to be tested fully with Lion?

Yes, I understand, however, he Macbook is out of its Applecare, but the TechTool it still on the machine. Does that entitle me to an upgrade in TechTool?
I suspect not, hoever, seeing I am running Lion, I am not sure at all? If you can answer this question it will help as then Imight be able to solve the problem I'm having.

My Mac is doing strange things: delaying between users, mouse flickering and bouncing, gets stuck with rainbow wheel flickering. I ran the appel hardware test and it detected an error: 4MOT/4/40000003:HDD-1233 Does anybody know what that means? HELP!

My imac is doing strange things:
-delaying between users: when closing session it goes to blue, then takes a while to appear users signin box, and then wont recognize mouse command to enter until a couple of minutes later... then everything seems alright until....
-it gets stuck between things, the rainbow wheel appears and its just delays there forever....
-and every now and then the mouse starts flickering and bouncing wildly onscreen.
I ran the appel hardware test and it detected an error:

WZZZ answered about where to get iStat. And do check the SMART status. If it is an overheating problem due to a fan or logic board problem, your hard drive is possibly cooking itself to death. If so it isn't a faulty hard drive even though the hard drive might fail. So assuming it's a temperature problem, even if you are able to repair things on the disk with software, that is working on symptoms, not causes. I could be wrong however.
RE: AppleCare: Your iMac came with one year of AppleCare (Apple's warranty program), but within the first year you can buy 2 more years. You have to extend by the one year anniversary of purchase of the computer. Your 10,1 is too old to still be in the first year, and since you asked what it was, I'm sure you don't have it. Bottom line meaning is that whatever this problem turns out to be, you'll have to pay for it. Unless there is something like this. It is for 2011 iMacs with certain Seagate drives. You can put in your serial number for fun, but it looks like yours is too old. Lastly, some people have had Apple help them anyway if it is just out of warranty, but many have not. Your machine is one of these. Type in 10,1 in the search box. Is there an Apple Store near you? Just b/c it's out of warranty doesn't mean you shouldn't have it looked at by Apple. But no one here can say at all what Apple will or will not do.

a few weeks ago it's freeze and crash with some programs like wmpayer, messenger... I delivered it in the authorized agent and they had not detected no problem.
Already I formatted it some times, but the problem continues.

Sounds to me like you could have a Motherboard problem. Formatting it takes away the chances of it being a software issue. Try taking out 1 stick of ram and testing it with that. If it continues to crash, take out that stick and try the other one. If it does it with both RAM then those are ok. HDD is not the culprit, so now it could either be processor or MB. Find a program to measure the heat of the notebook and run some heavy programs to make it overheat. If the temperature goes up and then it crashes, it could just be overheating. If it continues without overheating you either have a problematic CPU or MB. Hope this helps.

I would recommend testing the SMS reply forwarding to your mobile number. Depending upon the results and if this works for you, you could then contact Skype Customer Service to cancel and request a refund.
In other words, SMS will be received via your mobile number, not via your Skype Number.

it's well known, that in all these cases you describe I'm not a friend of a detailed Troubleshooting (I see Nancy#s smile already).
To be able to be independent in all this things It is one of the reasons why I prefer an external FTP program. The difficulties with which you have to fight encourage me in this opinion, not least because we always search for experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
To manage several websites or to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server or to use a "a site-wide synch", I'm using FileZilla. It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
And even if it means you have to install a new program, I am convinced that there is an advantage. Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:

Can LabVIEW be used to activate a test device running on a Keyence PLC programmed with Keyence Ladder Logic?

I'm working on automating a test at my workplace. We have an automatic test fixture that is controlled by a Keyence PLC running on Keyence Ladder Logic. It worth mentioning that the data from the test is monitored with a Chatillon digital torque gauge. I was hoping that I would be able to program LabVIEW to activate the PLC and then have LabVIEW record the data from the Chatillon for the test. I'm pretty sure I can get the Chatillon torque data into LabVIEW, but am unsure even where to start with the PLC. I realize that I might not be able to use the PLC with LabVIEW, but just thought I check for certain. Any help with either the Torque gauge or the PLC would be greatly appreciated.

This is always another option. I implemented several
VI libraries in the past to access PLCs and PLC alike systems over
serial port and TCP/IP directly such as AutomationDirect PLCs, Siemens
AS511, Opto22 SnapIO, Haidenhein TNC, etc. However don't underestimate
the work this will be. In general if the protocol is documented at
least I can get something working in a single day, but until the
protocol libraries are so well developed that they can work stable and
reliably over days and weeks of uninterrupted communication with the
device, you easily spend anything from one week to five or six weeks of
development work. The difficulty is usually not to get the
communication going, but to get a library that can cope with
communication errors by ignoring certain errrors or retrying the
operation even before the higher level software gets aware that there
might have been a problem at all.
Of course if OPC is the only commercially available option and you do
need to operate on a RT target for instance there is no other option
than to dive in such a driver development. If however your time is
limited and you do want a rather reliable operation and can work from a
normal Windows computer using an OPC solution will almost always be
easier, cheaper and much better for your blood pressure.

I upgraded my Ram to 16GB LONG time ago and it's made a big difference but still the stuff I make is semi complicated/detailed I can't imagine this is the strength of my MBP I refuse to accept that. I bought a iphone 4 from a guy on craigslist, I knew about ios 7.0 having the lock thing, but when I met him, his simcard was in the phone, I tested the phone with his simcard in from of him. The phone looked great with no problems and I even got the box

I used the phone for about a month with no problems at all, even had my apple ID in the icloud and everything... well ios 7.0.6 came out and I used my computer to restore the phone, because I feel that the cord and computer gives it a better restore, it did great no problems, and when it went to the part where I went to activate the phone, I get a enter your apple id and password to complete activation... Wait... why is this up i thought, I thought I did everything like I suppose to to succesfully switch it to me, the new owner... but now its asking for some C******@yahoo.com.... I only have @gmail.com emails and none start with a C... The guy sold me the phone because he was switching to Verizon, and I tried to call him, and now the number is disconnected... I guess he switched to Verizon with a new number... Now im stuck with a paperweight that costed me $200.00... What can I do at this point... Please help me... Not able to install Logic on mac with OSX. 10.8.2. Error message: Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported. I have logic studio 8 software purchased in 2007 and upgraded with logic studio 9 (purchased in 2009)

After an earlier attempt to move Logic from my other mac (OSX 10.6.8) with the migration assistant to my new mac with OSX 10.8.2. I've re-started the whole start up process by erasing the hard drive from the new machine and build it up from scratch. After a new "out of the box" start, I decided to install LOGIC from my disks : starting with my 2007 package Logic Studio 8 and upgrading with my Logic 9 package from 2009. When trying to start to install 2008 I got the error message : Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported.
What does this mean? HOw do I get this working under 10.8.2 as it works flawlessly under OSX 10.6.8. For sure I didn't buy a new machine to have OSX 10.8.2 but I suspect this is the roadblock to installing my logic package.

I completely lost the thread (I actually got confused between you and another poster on a another forum that was asking the same basic question) and somehow ended up thinking you were trying to install on a PPC Mac
My apologies and please ingnore those parts of my last post relating to the PPC Macs...
You have an Intel Mac and therefore Logic Studio 2 Boxed Upgrade set should install/run on your Mac without issue. As I said earlier.. you do not need to try and install from the original Logic Studio 1 /Logic 8 Boxed set...(It won't work anyhow because you have an Intel Mac and that version had a PPC installer) but just install from the Logic Studio 2 / Logic Pro 9 Upgrade Boxed setof DVDs instead...
Have you tried the "Make Disk Image" solution I gave earlier? That normnally works under such circumstances as what you are describing can happen when your DVD drive cannot read the DVDs correctly... I have had this situation myself where one drive read them okay and another failed to do so for whatever reason. Making and then installing from Disk images of those exact same disks resolved the issue for me...
You can try to reinstall directly from the DVDs of course though under some circumstances it may not allow you to reinstall Logic Pro itself if that part of the original installation attempt was successful... in which case you can also try this... (It's probably the easiest method if Logic 9 was already installed and present in your Apps Folder)
If the Logic Pro App is in your applications folder..
Run Software Updates to update Logic Pro to a version that will run under 10.8.2 (The initially installed version of Logic will not)
Run Logic
Go to the menu bar in Logic and select Logic Pro/Install Additional Content and select all content in there..
This content is basically exactly the same as what is stored on the remaining DVDs of the boxed set so you might not need to use the rest of the DVDs to install from but download it all instead from Apple Servers...
