Iam a new user of iphone..When the screen is on lock, you cant hear incoming calls or messages..Is there away when locked you can still hear your phone when a call or message comes in?

What do you mean "out of warranty"? Warranty is for a year right? Or am I out of warranty because the phone cracked? I'm a noob...
I'm still covered I think. I got the phone in December.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -
I have a football game recorded on a DVD+R disc that I was trying to view on my MacBook using DVD Player. The video comes onto the screen, but immediately freezes, and then disappears. An error message comes up saying that DVD player unexpectedly quit. My MacBook operating system is Mac OS X, version 10.5.8. DVD Player is App version 5.0.3, framework version 5.0.7.
However, the DVD+R works on both my Dad's and my brother's laptops. My Dad's laptop is an iBook G4 with Mac OS X operating system, version 10.3.9. The DVD Player is version 4.0. My brother's laptop is a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X operating system, version 10.7.2. The DVD Player is App version 5500.26.1 and framework version 5.5.0. The DVD+R plays fine on their laptops, but will not play on mine.

yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
ls /Volumes

If you are on an cell phone account that is controlled by someone else (e.g. parents) note that they may be able to avail themselves of carrier services to track your phone. In order to avoid being tracked that way, you would, as Bonanaza888 noted, you'ld need to put your phone in Airplane mode or turn it off. -

It sounds like that Library is damaged. Restore from your back up is the simple surefire solution.

how many persona can one download to add-ons tab and keep there to switch. i went through what seems to be a ton of them and added them. then come to check my appearance tab there'd be about 30 personas listed.

You could theoretically upgrade to a 1TB HDD and brand really doesn't matter as long as it's a 2.5" SATA HDD. However I would probably shoot for a 500GB or 750GB. If you want some performance increase as well go for a 7200RPM drive, but just know that you will lose some of your battery life as well. If that's a trade-off you don't really care about then go for the 7200RPM drive.

When I use my IPhone 4S to view the Shaw Go Movie Central App when I am at home I only use WiFi which is automatic, I start watching a show and sometimes I will get a message like "you can not use your cellular for video playback" or something close to that. Then I received an email from Telus saying I had used my 3G instead of Wi-Fi using 75% of my data. How can this happen when I'm on Wi-Fi at home? If it switched to 3G for some reason I should have been disconnected and not just transferred to 3G network using up my data. What is the fix for this??
It doesn't have to be that complicated, Verizon iPhones come unlocked, just tell VZ you're going on Holiday/Traveling and suspend the service, no need to pay for service if you're not going to be using it. Pick up local SIM cards in the countries of your choosing, pop them in, re-activate iMessage and you're set!
I recommend getting a SIM card from the Three network in England, they have great EU roaming rates and free like-home roaming in Italy.
Set your phone's region to match the country you're in, it'll save from some headaches when calling local/international numbers.
To answer your questions,
1. If you choose not to have a local SIM card, it is good to keep your phone in Airplane mode to save battery.
2. Make sure the two iPhones have different names to reduce sync/restore issues.
3. If husband has an iPhone also, you can chat with iMessage/Facetime, just give him heads up about the new number you'll have. Otherwise, use Whatsapp if he's got an Android. You can activate Whatsapp with your American number or the international number if you choose to get a SIM in Europe.
Also, Get the MagicJack app and/or Google Hangouts, both of those apps provide you with free calling to the USA and Canada using any internet connection. Google Voice is another good way to SMS across the seas.

Anywho To Keep It Short I Went Online Logged A Complaint With Apple Made A Appointment With A Apple Store In My Area To Take The Phone There After Trying Everything (Resetting, changing setting etc..........) Nothin Worked Upon Taking The Phone To The Store They Swapped Out My Phone For A New One Volume On New Phone Is Perfect And I Only Had To Wait 40 Minutes -

User troubleshooting steps as outlined in the manual include restart, reset, restore, restore as new. Have you tried any of these? Restart involves powering off your phone and powering back on. Reset involves the following procedure:
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -

My sister gave me her old iPhone that she bought in UK, she she it here in the Philippines and i'm having problems because i can't use it. i already restored it to set it up new but i couldn't still activate it. It says, " Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached." and "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. When i tried to sync my new iPhone to Itunes, I accidentally clicked on sync with my ipod, instead of creating a new one. So now my iphone is the replica of my ipod, deleting my contacts and pictures etc. Is there a way to get it restored?
Only if a backup of the iPhone with all that data on it exists. If one does, restore the iPhone using that backup.
