Ibrdf with eabo timeout

hi
i am getting eabo timeout error after i use ibrdf
in particular i am writing a jpeg file (from instrument screen capture)
a file is written (over 100k) but i guess it is corrupt because it cannot be opened (actually one program irfan view in windows can open it, it must be doing something special), i suspect the file is not closed properly with the timeout error? ibrdf is supposed to close the file.. im confused
i played around with timeout settings but without any luck
any help appreciated, thx

Hi Daniel Kh,
Set the EOS character by looking at this KnowledgeBase
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/3AA75CCAC94E18BB862564F00079D2AD?OpenDocument
The EOS character for your device is a line feed character 'lf'.
Though your device seems to send out both LF and EOI. I'm not sure why the EOI is not terminating the read. (perhaps a bad cable?) Either way, see if the setting of the EOS works. As for the ibdev configuration, take a look at:
http://linux-gpib.sourceforge.net/doc_html/r1297.html
Tells you what the parameters should be.
I found the termination by looking at the programming manual for your device under the section named "Terminating".
Hope this helps!

    What's up with Session timeout?  That is all I get anymore with I Tunes Store.

    The fix was: Turn off Junk Mail filter

    turn on junk mail filter

  • How to deal with session timeouts?

    How to deal with session timeouts?
    With our current configuration of using single signon, when the web session times out (currently 20 minutes of inactivity), the user loses anything they have entered on a service form.  The use case is that a user starts filling out a form and gets interrupted, goes to lunch, etc, returns and spends time filling out the form (in the mean time the web session has timed out).  When they try to submit the service they get re-logged in through SSO and they have lost all of their entries in the service.   This creates some very unhappy users.
    I'd like to know how long other customers set their web session timeouts to and if anyone has come up with ways of handling this situation - either through somehow re-establishing the session or through warnings to the user about how long they have to complete a form.

    Hi,
    The timeout period for HTTP sessions that are created in the corresponding Web application. After being inactive for the specified timeout, the HTTP sessions expire. The period is specified in minutes:
    <!ELEMENT session-timeout (#PCDATA)>
    You can only change the session timeout property in the applicationu2019s own deployment descriptors. This is not possible for the Global Web Descriptor.
    following may help you:

  • Wlan ssl upload failure with connection timeouts

    I have WLAN-upload problems with my MacBook running OS X 10.9.4 on my ftp server.
    The server is configured in passive mode and the ports are activated within iptables and SSL mode (explicit tls).
    From my it is not possible to upload files without problems. On my colleagues older mac it is not possible whether using wlan or lan connection (not the same network!)
    I am able to upload 1-5 files and then the client will loose the connection with an timeout, reconnects and tries to upload the same file again (means it's already on the server).
    On the other hand I am able to upload out of the following virtual machines running on my mac using parallels: Ubuntu, Debian, OS X Yosemite DP7!
    Furthermore I am able to upload files using my windows laptop (same WLAN) and my windows desktop computer. So I assume it is not the routers fault.
    In my opinion and after reading about 20 guides from different websites, the ftp is correctly configured and there is no "NO MAC"-Option.
    What I have tried already without results:
    - Restored my MacBook to a clean OS X 10.9.4
    - Compared the MTU of the clean install with my old install
    - Compared the MTU with the virtual machines
    - Tried FileZilla, Yummy FTP and Cyberduck
    - Opened the ports in my router (though not neccessary)
    What I have tried with results:
    - Upload using a clean OS X Yosemite Parallels VM (on my MacBook!)
    - Upload using a Ubuntu/Debian Parallels VM (on my MacBook!)
    - Upload using a Windows notebook and Windows desktop computer
    - Upload using a iPhone Hotspot on my MacBook (weird it was working)
    Do you have any ideas what the problem could be? I don't think it is only my routers fault because it is possible to reproduce the problem on another macbook on another network. Additionally I am able to upload using virtual machines on my Macbook (super weird).
    Is there a problem with the network adapter? Why is it working out of VMs but not the operation system itself?

  • Svn with Apache Timeout issue

    Hello Archers,
    I've set up an svn Server with Apache folloing your wiki on my raspberry pi.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LAMP
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Subversion_Setup
    Unfortunately I get errors when I try to commit several files (15 or so). I think it is a timeout issue, however I don't know where to specify the timeout in the httpd.conf (or httpd-ssl.conf)
    This is a client error message:
    Commit failed (details follow):
    Unexpected end of svndiff Input
    And this the corresponding server side log:
    [date] [dav:error] [pid 448:tid 2854220848] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: [client 192.168.178.55:63819] Timeout reading the body (URI: /Dokumente/!svn/txr/9-q/Music/myfile.mp3) [408, #0]

    I assume it is some error like this: http://subversion.apache.org/faq.html#s … -truncated
    I think I don't have specified the timeouts correctly, since I haven't found the default option.
    tl:dr
    Do you know how to set the timeouts in the apache configuration file?
    I very much appreciate your help.

    # Translate the client X.509 into a Basic Authorisation. This means that
    # the standard Auth/DBMAuth methods can be used for access control. The
    # user name is the `one line' version of the client's X.509 certificate.
    # Note that no password is obtained from the user. Every entry in the user
    # file needs this password: `xxj31ZMTZzkVA'.
    # o ExportCertData:
    # This exports two additional environment variables: SSL_CLIENT_CERT and
    # SSL_SERVER_CERT. These contain the PEM-encoded certificates of the
    # server (always existing) and the client (only existing when client
    # authentication is used). This can be used to import the certificates
    # into CGI scripts.
    # o StdEnvVars:
    # This exports the standard SSL/TLS related `SSL_*' environment variables.
    # Per default this exportation is switched off for performance reasons,
    # because the extraction step is an expensive operation and is usually
    # useless for serving static content. So one usually enables the
    # exportation for CGI and SSI requests only.
    # o StrictRequire:
    # This denies access when "SSLRequireSSL" or "SSLRequire" applied even
    # under a "Satisfy any" situation, i.e. when it applies access is denied
    # and no other module can change it.

    # approach you can use one of the following variables:
    # o ssl-unclean-shutdown:
    # This forces an unclean shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. no
    # SSL close notify alert is sent or allowed to be received. This violates
    # the SSL/TLS standard but is needed for some brain-dead browsers. Use
    # this when you receive I/O errors because of the standard approach where
    # mod_ssl sends the close notify alert.
    # o ssl-accurate-shutdown:
    # This forces an accurate shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. a
    # SSL close notify alert is send and mod_ssl waits for the close notify
    # alert of the client. This is 100% SSL/TLS standard compliant, but in
    # practice often causes hanging connections with brain-dead browsers. Use
    # this only for browsers where you know that their SSL implementation
    # works correctly.
    # Notice: Most problems of broken clients are also related to the HTTP
    # keep-alive facility, so you usually additionally want to disable
    # keep-alive for those clients, too. Use variable "nokeepalive" for this.
    # Similarly, one has to force some clients to use HTTP/1.0 to workaround
    # their broken HTTP/1.1 implementation. Use variables "downgrade-1.0" and

    Remember that Arch Arm is a different distribution, but we try to bend the rules and provide limited support for them.  This may or may not be unique to Arch Arm, so you might try asking on their forums as well.

  • Issue with script timeouts - trying to send email mail shots - hosting recommendations?

    Background is this - I look after a site for a recruitment agency, which has a backend mySQL database.
    It includes a table of potential candidates, which the site owner can search based on various criteria and then send all the returned candidates an email about potential jobs they might be interested in.
    I'm using an off the shelf script to send the emails, and have jumped through a few hoops to get this to work, but it looks like we need to move hosting unfortunately.
    The script is able to limit emails so that the hosting company doesn't get black flagged as a spammer.
    I've set it up with a progress bar in a new window so the site owner can see progress, but easily get back to the rest of the site.
    But where we have come unstuck is the script timeout on the server - so even though its set to send emails slowly enough, ie under 500 emails an hour, because of that slow pace, it fails if it takes more then five minutes to send them all as the script times out.
    My understanding is that the script includes a line to reset the script timeout value to 0, so enabling the script to keep running until all the emails have been sent. But unfortunately our current hosting company does not allow the script timeout to be reset at the PHP level.
    So my question is this - is anyone doing anything similar, and if so, can you recommend any hosting company that does allow the script timeout to be reset at the PHP level?
    Because at the minute it seems like a frustrating catch-22 - slow it down to get around the spam issue, and it won't run long enough to send all the emails. Speed it up, and it falls foul of the script timeout.
    Any advise on this, or hosting suggestons most welcome!
    Thanks.

    Although there is an AppleScript Forum, Automator can run AppleScripts, so sometimes things can go in either forum. In your script, other than not setting a recipient, you are just getting one of the persons. You need to get a list of your contact information, then build your outgoing messages from that list - for example:
    <pre style="
    font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
    font-size: 10px;
    font-weight: normal;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    width: 720px; height: 340px;
    color: #000000;
    background-color: #FFEE80;
    overflow: auto;"
    title="this text can be pasted into the Script Editor">
    set theEmails to {} -- this will be a list of email addresses
    set theNames to {} -- this will be a list of names for the greeting
    tell application "Address Book"
    activate
    set theGroup to (choose from list (get the name of every group) with prompt "Choose a Group") as text
    if theGroup is "false" then return -- cancel
    repeat with aPerson in (get every person of group theGroup) -- build email and name lists
    set the end of theEmails to the first item of (get the value of the email of aPerson) -- just the first address
    set the end of theNames to the first name of aPerson
    end repeat
    end tell
    tell application "Mail"
    repeat with anItem from 1 to (count theEmails) -- make a new message for each entry
    tell (make new outgoing message at the front of outgoing messages with properties {subject:"Test Mail"})
    set visible to true
    get item anItem of theNames
    if the result is missing value then -- no name
    set the content to "message"
    else
    set the content to "Dear " & the result & "," & return & return & "message"
    end if
    make new to recipient at the end of to recipients with properties {address:(item anItem of theEmails)}
    end tell
    end repeat

    end tell

  • "agesani Initialize With Options" timeout error on HP E4401B spectrum analyzer

    System: Windows XP Pro, LabVIEW 7.1, IVI Compliance Package 3.0, NI-VISA 4.1
    I have an HP E4401B Spectrum Analyzer.  I'm trying to write some LabVIEW code for it, using the agesani.llb library.
    When I try using the agesani Initialize With Options VI, I get the following error:
    Error code: BFFF0015
    Source: agesani Initialize WIth Options.vi<ERR>Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) Primary Error: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) Timeout expired before operation completed.
    I've searched the NI Knowlege Base, and haven't found anything that seems useful.  What I _have_ found are the following items.
    Knowlege Base article "Time-Out Error with the Agesa Instrument Driver Example".  This refers to the agesa drivers, not the agesani drivers.  It also references an E4440A spectrum analyzer, not an E4401B.  The article says one cause could be that a compatibility mode other that SCPI is in use.  While the articles says how to fix this on an E4440A, the fix does not appear to apply to the E4401B.  In fact, if it is even _possible_ to have a mode other than SCPI on an E4401B, I can't figure out how to do it.  A second possibility the article suggests is that the spectrum analyzer is in Phase Noise mode rather than Spectrum Analyzer mode.  My E4401B is in SA (spectrum analyzer) mode.  I don't even see a way to put it in any other mode - I don't think the required options are installed.  Finally, my VI is configured as the article states - ID Query YES, Reset Device YES, etc.  I should note that the instrument's GPIB address is 18, and that this matches the resource name GPIO0::18::INSTR.
    Some additional information: The spectrum analyzer's screen is indicating the instrument is in Remote (R) mode as a Talker (T).  A "Query UNTERMINATED" error message appears at the bottom of the instrument screen.
    I've attached the results of a NI Spy capture to this message. (At least, I think I have. I've never tried doing this before, so if it doesn't show up, would some kind soul tell me how to include an attachment to my post?)
    Oh, yes.  The agesani version is driver version 1.1, updated 17 Aug 2007.  (The version that's currently on the NI download site.)

    Hi MXI Master,
    If there's an instrument timeout, I haven't been able to find it yet.  Seems like there should be, so maybe I just haven't looked in the right place yet.  As for the timeout value on the computer, I'm not sure what you mean by this - could you elaborate, and maybe tell me where to find it?
    As far as SCPI mode, if it's possible to put the E4401B in something _other_ than SCPI mode, I haven't figured out how.  I can't find any support in the programming manual for anything other than SCPI.
    That kind of seques into my next couple points.  The NI Spy output indicates that one of the commands that is being sent is "*SRE 32".
    The "User's & Programmer's Reference" for the E4401B says (on page 206) "Send the *SRE <number> command (where <number> is the sum of the decimal values of the bits you want to enable plus the decimal value of bit 6).  [Bit 6 is the Request Service (RQS) Summary Bit.  BP]  For example, assume that you want to enable bit 7 so that whenever the operation status summary bit is set to 1, it will trigger a service request.  Send the *SRE 192 (128 + 64) command."
    This statement would seem to imply that the "*SRE 32" command that is being sent by the agesani "Initialize With Options" command is an illegal command, or at best an ineffective command.  In light of that, it is interesting to me that the NI Spy output indicates that the next line , viQuery(GPIB::18::INSTR (0x246E9C8), "%s?","%ld"), is generating an 0xBFFF0015 error.  In addition, I can find neither the "%s?" nor the "%ld" commands listed in the Programmer's Reference.  I wonder if these could be for a firmware revision later than mine (A.01.03), or for instrument options I don't have (A4H, A4J).  Alternatively, I wonder if these are simply mistakes.
    The next line in the NI Spy output, Formatted viWrite(CPIB0::18::INSTR (0x0246E9C89),"INST:NSEL?",11,11), also puzzles me.  The Programmer's Reference indicates that this is a supported command, to see what instrument application is currently selected.  (e.g. spectrum analyzer, GSM, Bluetooth, EDGE, noise figure, etc.)  However, when I try to issue this command to my instrument, by using the Instrument I/O Assistant Express VI, I get an "Undefined header" error on the instrument's front panel.  The instrument's error history shows the same "Undefined header" error.  Since my instrument only has the basic spectrum analyzer option installed, I wonder if this command is not valid?  (Personally, I wouldn't write instrument firmware code this way, but who knows?)  Alternatively, I wonder if this command requires a firmware revision more recent than mine.  (The Programmer's Reference is silent about this possibility.)
    The next line in the NI Spy output, Formatted viRead(GPIB::18::INSTR (0x0246E9C8),"",4000,0), has another 0XBFFF0015 error associated with it.
    Does this information shed any more light on the situation?

  • Full Deployment failing with Transaction timeout

    Hi
    I am trying to do a full deployment(ATG 10.0.2) and its failing with the same transaction timeout on all environments (local, dev, stage)
    I have tried to reduce the maxThreads to 1 in DeploymentManager but still i get the same exception.
    Incremental deployments seems to be running fine if i deploy anything, like category, products, skus.
    Even the catalog feed runs and deploys fine.
    I have a total of around 1500 products and 7000 skus.
    In BCC screen i see it gives timeout while deploying skus

    I am using ATG10.0.2 with jboss-5.1-eap
    I have tried increasing the timeout on jboss, but it only stops the timeout from happening, but the full deployment takes forever and takes more than 12 hours.
    The catalog itself is too small and shouldnt be taking that much at all.
    I just checked one thing:
    I have a one to many relation with my sku and sale price(custom table) which has 11000 rows. If i delete the data in this table the deployment happens fine and takes about 30 mins.
    The relationship it self seems correct.
    this is on sku descriptor
    <table name="my_sku_saleprice" type="multi" id-column-name="sku_id">
    <property name="salePrices" column-name="sale_prices" data-type="set" component-item-type="salePrices" display-name-resource="salePrices"
    writable="true" category-resource="categoryPresentation">
    <attribute name="resourceBundle" value="atg.projects.store.StoreCatalogTemplateResources"/>
    </property>
    </table>
    And this is the salePrices descriptor
    <item-descriptor name="salePrices" display-name-resource="itemDescriptorSalePrices"
    item-cache-size="100000" query-cache-size="100000">
    <attribute name="resourceBundle" value="atg.projects.store.StoreCatalogTemplateResources"/>
    <table name="my_sku_saleprices" type="primary" id-column-name="sale_prices">
    <property name="salesPrice" data-type="double" column-name="sales_price" required="true" display-name-resource="salesPrice"/>
    <property name="saleType" data-type="string" column-name="sale_type" required="true" display-name-resource="saleType"/>
    <property name="startDate" data-type="Date" column-name="start_date" display-name-resource="startDate"/>
    <property name="endDate" data-type="Date" column-name="end_date" display-name-resource="endDate"/>
    </table>
    </item-descriptor>
    The only thing i m not able to understand is why its taking forever to get the full deployment.
    Incremental deployment in catalog happens quickly, if i deploy any sku,product or anything.
    Is it something to do with ATG or jboss?
    Any pointers will help
    Thanks

  • Dealing with hard timeout of guarded service

    Hi, I'm investigating the behavior the cause of and subsequent behavior after a hard timeout of a guarded service. In my experience, the grid members are unable to recover properly. I am trying to figure out whether there is something in our configuration that may be aggravating the situation, and also see whether I might be able to improve the behavior of our client code.
    What I have done is purposely lower the service guardian's timeout, to about 25 seconds, so that a certain EntryProcessor will always time-out. The behavior I see after the timeout is very similar to the behavior we see when the problem crops up in the real world. I know that I can raise the timeout or use the PriorityTask API, but even if I do that, we may run into timeouts due to deadlock. If that happens, I want to know what I can expect the grid to do.
    Here's what I'm seeing:
    I am running 2 storage-enabled members with backup-count=0. I am running my "client" as a non-storage-enabled member.
    First, the client kicks off the EntryProcessor:
    Map<Object, Integer> readProcessorResult = requestCache.invokeAll(AlwaysFilter.INSTANCE, processor);
    The two members begin logging successful executions of the EntryProcessor. Then, one of the members happens to run it against an entry that takes longer than the service guardian's timeout. We get a soft and hard timeout:

    Could I be having problems because all my cluster members are executing the same kind of long-running EntryProcessor and all of them are getting service guardian timeouts at around the same time? How do I deal with that? For example, what if a database is running very slowly one day and my entry processors all start to execute slowly? I don't want my whole grid having problems. Should I, for example, limit the number of concurrent EntryProcessors to < count of grid members by using a LimitFilter?
    What does it mean that there was a timeout waiting for the cluster to stop?
    And what about the client? If I get an exception after running a grid command, is it valid to wait a few seconds for things to stabilize and then try again? What's my best bet as far as that goes?
    Thanks! And let me know if I should file a support request instead.

    I appreciate the responses so far, but unfortunately they give me no new information.
    I am aware that I can try to avoid timeouts by using the PriorityTask API and heartbeats, but that still gives me no guarantee that I will not run into a deadlock situation and encounter a timeout. That is fine as long as my grid can deal with it. Currently, it does not behave well when that happens (all members eventually die). I challenge anyone reading this post to try running an entry processor on their grid that is designed to time out (not by using sleep() as that is interruptable via a soft timeout). All your members will probably encounter the timeout at the same time, and it probably will not end well. If, however, you can handle this situation or have some approach that mitigates it, I would love to hear from you!
    I am also aware that I can disable the service guardians, or configure them to only log and take no action. However, this leaves me vulnerable to deadlocks.
    Therefore, I would still appreciate any responses that address either of these two issues:
    1. Configuration changes or other fixes that allow my members to recover successfully from a service timeout
    2. Operational best practices that allow my grid to continue running even if an entry processor that is running on every member of the grid times out at the same time. For example, limiting the number of concurrent entry processors.One operational best practice is design your system so you can't get into a deadlock. If it can get into a deadlock once, it can get into it many times. If a system does that, it is not a well-behaving or well-designed system.
    If your code can get into a deadlock across the cluster, that usually means that you are trying to do something which you should not have, like trying to operate on multiple resources in an arbitrary order while holding locks on them (e.g. violating the threading guidelines), which is the typical case of a distributed deadlock, and against which you can guard with ordering your multiple locking operations in a consistent order, but you should not expect Coherence to retry and possibly get into the same problem, as all you would achieve with it is that you converted the deadlock into a livelock.
    Coherence is not supposed to guard against your errors. With the guardian it gives you a way to find out what your error is, but it should not attempt the impossible by trying to correct it. You should design your system so that it does not have this kinds of errors.
    If you think there is a specific reproducible problem in how Coherence reacts to your code which can bring down the system, then create a test case and submit it in a SR. The kinds of exceptions you get make it possible that it may be necessary. If it is indeed Coherence's fault that it dies and not something you did, then I am fairly certain that it will be given quite high priority considering it is an error which can bring a cluster down.
    Coherence server-side constructs have an API contract. Single foremost aspect of that is that the operations complete without an error (unless otherwise documented) within a small period of time. If it goes against this then it has to provide feedback or customization with PriorityTask/GuardSupport. A code which can deadlock goes against this contract. After all we are speaking about a grid, not a distributed process manager.
    I agree that the grid should not die due to a deadlock, but you should not expect Coherence to fix a deadlock either. But dying due to an exception and having a distributed deadlock is two different and independent issues.

  • Trouble with DAQmxReadDigital Timeout (200284) when used in a threaded loop

    Hi,
    I'm using a NI6537 for fast Digital Acquisition. The board is installed on a NIPXIe-1062 crate controlled by a NI PXIe-8130 controller, where the software is running. I'm reading all the 32 lines as a single channel, at 50MS/s, and the clock is the one provided by the board itself. I put the timeout as infinite, but I also tried various other settings. As I'm reading a finite samples bunch of 524288 samples, at 50 MS/s, a timeout of 1 second should be by far sufficient.
    As far as I put the DAQmxReadDigitalU32(...) call in a simple loop I have no troubles, everything working fine.
    for (...) {
       DAQmxReadDigitalU32(...);
    } // That loop works perfectly
    while, if a have a loop inside a multi-thread process, or simply I give the system some freedom inside the loop, sometimes I get the timeout error. Note that the time cost of the Sleep() function is just of some millisecond, so there is no reason for the call to timeout.
    for (...) {
       DAQmxReadDigitalU32(...);
       Sleep(1); // To release system resources...
    }// That loop stops erratically
    With the last code, I can also see that actually the board did not complete the reading, i.e. is returning less samples than what requested. It seems to me that someting is stopping the acquisition, but I'm not able to figure what. The same happens even in LabView, using the VI read: sometimes the read randomly generates a timeout error and stops, even if LabView is the only running application.
    Could you point me what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks, Piero.

  • Sharepoint Farm backup with powershell timeout

    Hello experts.
    I have faced with the problem using powershell script to manage automatic full farm backups with file rotations.
    I use common script taken from this page
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/9b99c435-8831-4c9e-a70b-1f13158ef22a
    And every was fine until backup procedure of wss_content database grew up to 1 hour
    I have MS RBS configured for wss_content database and files in BLOB store have about 100Gb in summary
    Now i can't build full backup and have error in spbackup.log
    [12/4/2012 12:59:21 AM] Progress: [WSS_Content_MP27] 80 percent complete.
    [12/4/2012 1:02:03 AM] Warning: [WSS_Content_MP27] Time is out. Server did not respond within the timeout period.
    The backup or restore was aborted.
    After that script try to repeat failed command 3 times using next statement
    SQL command timeout is set to 1.00 hours
    Question is how i can increase timeout for this operation?
    Because for our database 1 hour is dramatically low value.
    One week ago full backup of wss_content database takes 50 minutes.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    have you tried to used backupthread parameter like
    Backup-SPFarm -Directory C:\Backup -BackupMethod full -BackupThreads 10 -ForceBackupThreads
    Specifies the number of threads to be used during the backup. The fewer the threads, the easier the backup log file is to read and understand. The more the threads, the more components that can be backed up in parallet, potentially resulting in a faster backup operation. The minimum value is 1 and the maximum value is 10.
    The default value is 3.
    If a backup is performed with the –ShowTree parameter, then the BackupMethod parameter is not used.

  • Workflow queues with a timeout for lack of action

    I am looking for a way to have a work queue (table) with jobs needing aprovals and after a while of sitting there they need to move to the next level. For example.
    I have a ticket system. A new ticket is entered and it must be approved by 5 people. 2 are on a trip. How do I make it skip these people after sitting and waiting for 4 hours.
    Currently this was my plan. Create a DB job that runs every 5 minutes and compare the SYSDATE to the ticket age. If it is expired them move the ticket to the approved queue(table)
    Any better way for doing this?

    Hello Tim,
    it seems to be a requirement that tickets don't wait for more than 4 hours, so I don't think there is a better way to ensure this.
    Possibly you could enhance the process if you could provide a table to track the availability of the approvers: If you can see that two approvers aren't available, you could move the ticket as soon as the third available one approved the ticket, so the ticket wouldn't have to wait for the "timeout".

  • Problem with VPN timeout on Cisco ASA5505

    Hi i'm sorry if it's vague, but i'm coming here without any  config simply because i don't have access.
    At work we have 1 Cisco ASA5505 which is used for IPSEC VPN only.
    We have 4-5 users that work 100% from the VPN (8h per day 40h per week)
    The problem we have will be the disconnection.
    We have 1 user that will never never never have the problem (he can stay log all 8h if he wants to)
    The 2nd user can get disconnected, but mostly if the VPN stays on for too long without any action.
    Me and the other user can get frequent Disconnection in a day, but  it's all random (1 days i can get disconnected 0 times and the next day 3 times)
    I am using Mac OS 10.7 (just like the one that never gets disconnected and the one that gets disconnected randomly)
    The other person who gets disconnected alot is on Windows 7 32 bits with Cisco Client.
    On my side when i get disconnected there is 2 problem i see (it will happen to the windows person too)
    1) When i'm working on servers sometimes i won't be able to click anywhere and i see that my connection is still on, so i need to close it manually wait 2 minutes then reconnect.
    2) When i check my VPN connection it simply disconnected alone.
    Thanks for possible solutions.   (also the windows client had another PC Before and she said it never disconnected, but it started on new PC)  (Before she was on WinXP)
    Thanks

  • I updated from Snow Leorard to Moutain Lion and now my internet will not recognise  my password. All other comps use the network but my Mac upgraded Mac Mini keeps coming up with either 'timeout' or 'user or password not recognised' ...help!

    Hello all
    I upgraded from Snow Leopard to the latest Mountain Lion OS and now my Wifi will not work. When I try and insert the password to my Wifi network states either 'connection timed out' or 'password and/or user name not recognised' please help...!

    Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
    Restart the router. Many problems are solved that way.
    Step 2
    Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
    Step 3
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
    Click the Assist me button and select Assistant. Follow the prompts.
    Step 4
    Back up all data.
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
    Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.
    Step 5
    You may need to change other settings on the router. See the guidelines linked below:
    Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    Potential sources of interference
    Step 6
    Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
