I am recently experiencing a problem where, if I don't hit an icon on screen firmly, the complete icon set moves down the screen. I recently moved to release 50.0.0005 but can't remember if problem started then. Has anyone else come across this. Also wondered if new battery might solve this but this is a\ shot in the dark

What you are experiencing is the kinetic scrolling feature that was introduced in later 5800 firmwares by popular demand.
It's where you can scroll from anywhere on screen, not just the scroll bar at the side. Try scrolling on a long list, for example the songs list in the music player, without using the scroll bar on the right.
If you google "Nokia 5800 Kinetic scrolling" or search this forum you'll find lots of videos or info about using it.

IPhone Display is so large that I have to move the screen to reach all the icons...!!!!!!!!!!

The display on my iPhone does not fit the screen. It is so large that I have to move around the screen to find "Slide to Unlock". By the time I have unlocked to answer a call, the iPhone has either hung up, or is taking a message.
When I open the iPhone screen to make a call, the display is so large that I have to move the screen up to reach the "Slide to Unlock". This is very tedious and slow.
When I reach the standard display screen ["Messages" + "Calendar" + "Photos" + "Camera", etc.] the icons are so large that all will not fit on the screen. I have to move around the screen to find the appropriate icon. "Mail" and "telephone" are so far down that I have to laborously move the screen to reach them.
Pressing the icons works, but the next screen is equally so large that I have to move the screen around to see all the parts.
I was able to delete all previous call records, but that has not helped. The display is still LARGER THAN THE SCREEN... SO LARGE THAT NOT ALL THE ICONS APPEAR AND I HAVE TO MOVE THE SCREEN AROUND TO SEE THE ONES AT THE RIGHT SIDE, THE LEFT SIDE, AND THE BOTTOM.
I CAN ONLY GET TO THE BOTTOM... "MAIL", "PHONE", AND "ipod" ICONS BY SLOWLY MOVING THE SCREEN UP UNTIL THEY COME ON SCREEN.
The top of my iPhone display shows AT&T 3G. My Products registered shows iPhone 4.
I DO NOT DO e-Mail on my iPhone. I do not do music on my iPhone.
I ONLY USE THIS CLEARLY DEFECTIVE DEVICE FOR TELEPHONE CALLS. IT IS MY ONLY TELEPHONE.
My "Settings" page shows absolutely blank.
Do any of you folks out there in "Apple land" - realize that I have owned Apple products since the first Macs and still own Apple computers... As well as Apple Stock - have any idea at all how to help me get this piece of junk to work properly...?

I entered all the icons and splash screens in the Viewer Builder. Top of screen says "all icons and splash screen images for ipad SD are complete". However, when I hit the NEXT button, nothing happens. I did not enter an optional Fonts Zip for HTML file. Is this why I cannot move on to Provisioning?

Dragging icons to other screens is difficult

I am having problems trying to rearrange screens on my LG G2 with KitKat. I can't drag an icon to a screen to the left any more only to the right and when I move it to the right side to cause the screens to rotate the screens switch very fast making it difficult to drop it on the screen I wish to move it to. I didn't use to have this issue before. I'm not sure if it started with the KitKat upgrade or not. Anyone else have this issue?

In regards to this issue, as well as your last battery related post you should reset and wipe. Otherwise go to home screen, press menu, add apps or widgets, scroll to the screen you want the app on, then scroll to app in bottom half of screen and pick app. It will go to the chosen screen.

HD icon moves after restart

Hi, silly, but annoying problem. Recently, my HD icon moves after I restart my machine. Only icon to do this. I usually keep it in the upper right hand corner, but now it seems happier in the lower right hand corner - below a folder I have there. This is really annoying. I keep moving it back, and the stubborn fella returns below. I tried in preferences to uncheck it and then recheck it, but no go. Any thoughts? It's driving me crazy. Even more, why did it just decide to change zip codes?

You might try Onyx or Yasu (utilities that are donation ware/freeware) and delete the ds.store files which are supposed to keep track of this. You could also delete your user finder plist(com.apple.finder.plist). If the files are corrupted then they can mess things up.
Also, as Ali says, putting them too close to the side of the screen is like telling the icon " Your master has screwed up and you are free to go where ever you want now.". Put it close to the upper right corner where you want then let the Finder accurately place it by selecting View and then Cleanup.
Occasionally, my icons like to wander. I just get used to it (or have been beaten down by it) and no longer ask why.

Can't drag icon from customize screen to tool bar on Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet.

On my Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet, win 8.1, I am unable to drag the 'download' (arrow) icon from the customize screen on to the tool bar.
I was able to drag the 'search' icon from the screen to the tool bar.
Why can I drag one, and not another?

You can click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup if there is a problem with customizing the toolbars.
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file if you continue to have problems.

Multiple desktops and dual screens really aren't meant to work together. Apple came up with this multiple desltops feature and never really thought about users that use a dual monitor setup. So use either multiple desktops OR dual monitors but not both. Also don't try to use any App in Full Screen Mode as that doesn't work with dual screen setups either.

Having a problem with mini dvi to hdmi. Can see the background, but must move all screens all the way to the right to see on tv. Any solutions?

I can connect and see the background picture from my macbook (approx 4 years old) but in order to see any screens or video, I have to move the screen almost all the way off the macbook display to the right. You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. In System Preferences>Displays on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will makethe second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in ClamshellMode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

No Mini-DVI adapter can carry audio. The only MacBook that sends audio is the Mid 2010 model 7,1 through a Mini DisplayPort.
If you connect the MacBook using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace
