IDE subfolder issue with large projects - flat JSP file lists

Currently some IDE ui components such as ApplicationOutline and Property Binding Dialog box do not show subfolder structure hierarchically. Thus for a 100-page projects ApplicationOutline is almost impossible to use.
Please consider adding a level of hierarchy where top nodes are subfolders (packages). Right now all the pages are listed in a flat level regardless of a subfolder they belong to. The same problem is with Property binding dialog (if there are other places please make sure you fix them along)

Hi
Thanks for the suggestions. We will file an RFE for this.

  • Oracle RDF / Joseki : issue with large literals

    Hi,
    I have been using Joseki to query an Oracle RDF model. There seems to be an issue with large literals (according to a few unreliable tests, I would say this concerns literals around and over 4000 chars).
    Here are the two potential behaviours :
    First case:
    If the results contains several lines, one of which contains an overly large literal, there are NO exception on the server side, but the resulting xml is incomplete.
    It misses the "line" containing the large literal, and the xml is stopped there (which means that it also misses the closing </results> and </sparql>. In my case, I am using the results through Jena's sparqlService, which means I get this message :
    XMLStreamException: Unexpected EOF; was expecting a close tag for element <results>
    +at [row,col {unknown-source}]: [31,0]+
    Second case:
    If the query only returns one line which contains an overly large literal, the client receives a simple *"HttpException: 500 Internal Server Error"*
    Here is the error message from my server :
    +INFO [[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] (SPARQL.java:165) - Throwable: we+

    Thanks for your reply.
    While trying to build up a small test case, I found out why there were discrepancies between the two cases I described.
    Indeed, usually, the two cases return the same thing (no exception on the server side, but incomplete resulting XML).
    The exception I described happened when I tried something else. Since I saw that issues were coming from long literals, I used fn:string-length (ARQ) to figure out how long they were.
    The test case resulting in the CLOB-cast-exception is:
    - too large literal
    - only one result "line" containing this literal
    - usage of fn:string-length (which does not change the behaviour in other cases (i.e. no long literals or/and several lines).
    Anyway, you will receive the other test cases shortly.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Julien

    Add this to the end of your nav p CSS selector at Line 209 of your HTML file, after 'background-repeat...':
    margin-bottom: -2px;

  • RC 8.6 Issues with Nikon D810 NEF RAW files

    RC 8.6 does not correctly process Nikon D810 NEF RAW files. See the following blog article for some details:
    Nikon D810 vs D800E ISO Comparison

    This is very helpful. My current workflow, until ACR 8.6 and LR fully support the Nikon D810, are to use the DNG converter and import the resulting D810 DNG files into my LR catalog.
    I have not yet tried this (traveling right now), but I assume I can still make a custom profile using the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport and it's associated software for my D810 using the RC 8.6 DNG files. This is my normal workflow for all of my other cameras in LR, but the process is direct from native RAW and not DNG (to produce the custom profile).

    Until Lightroom gets D810 support, you will need to use the ACR plugin in order to see the profiles. The DNG Converter always uses Adobe Standard, and embeds it into the DNG. Lightroom 5.5 doesn't have the D810 profiles.

  • Project Online, Issue with creating projects from EPTs (with workflows)

    Hello, I am using Project Online. I am not able to create a new project based on the "Software Development" EPT. I get following message: Sorry, something went wrong An unexpected error has occurred. TECHNICAL DETAILS Troubleshoot
    issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation. Correlation ID: 29b2b89c-607f-1000-80c2-80bbbb7ff088 Date and Time: 15.09.2014 03:57:25.
    Any ideas what went wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Martina

    The reason for this behavior was the following:<o:p></o:p>
    The currency of the PWA settings have been changed.<o:p></o:p>
    Looking into the queue of the EPT we found the following hint:<o:p></o:p>

    After changing back to settings "Allow projects to be published in various currencies" the workflow works fine.<o:p></o:p>
    Nevertheless this issue is not clear for us why it appears after a currency change in the workflow. Maybe a sleeping bug?<o:p></o:p>

  • Flex file upload issue with large image files

         Hello, I have created a sample flex application to upload an image and also created java servlet to upload and save image and deployed in local tomcat server. I am testing the application in LAN. I am able to upload small as well as large image file(1Mb) from some PCs but in some other PCs I am getting IOError while uploading large image files however it is working fine for small images. Image uploading is hanging after 10%-20% and throwing IOError. *Surprizgly it is working Ok with XP systems and causeing issues with Windows7 systems*.

  • J2SE adapter PI 7.1 issue with XML to flat conversion and namespace length

    Dear reader,
    We are facing an issue with J2SE Adapter PI7.1 for a number of flows.
    The flow requirements:
    [1] Namespace length for interfaces is up to 100 characters
    [2] The XML message must be converted to Flat on the adapter channel
    Our PI system is at patch level 7 and we implement J2SE adapter on patch level 7 as well.
    We found that the J2SE adapter on patch level 7 does not support long namespaces [1] (as it should since this is an PI 7.1 j2SE adapter) but no issues where found with the XML to flat conversion [2].
    Experimenting with J2SE adapter on patch level 6 we found the long namespaces [1] are supported however an issue is found with the XML to flat conversion [2] as stated in SAP note 1335527.
    An SAP Customer Message is raised on this issue however your input is highly appricated!
    With Kind Regards,
    Harald Kastelijn

    I think the restriction of namespace length still remains in design time (IR).....the same however has been extended in configuration and runtime...this SAP note has some information: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/870809

  • Performance Issues with large XML (1-1.5MB) files

    Hi,
    I'm using an XML Schema based Object relational storage for my XML documents which are typically 1-1.5 MB in size and having serious performance issues with XPath Query.
    When I do XPath query against an element of SQLType varchar2, I get a good performance. But when I do a similar XPath query against an element of SQLType Collection (Varray of varchar2), I get a very ordinary performance.
    I have also created indexes on extract() and analyzed my XMLType table and indexes, but I have no performance gain. Also, I have tried all sorts of storage options available for Collections ie. Varray's, Nested Tables, IOT's, LOB's, Inline, etc... and all these gave me same bad performance.
    I even tried creating XMLType views based on XPath queries but the performance didn't improve much.
    I guess I'm running out of options and patience as well.;)
    I would appreciate any ideas/suggestions, please help.....
    Thanks;

  • Is there an issue with large libraries on iPod Classic 160 GB?

    I got a new iPod Classic a week ago. Have already taken it back and exchanged it once. The issue is that it works fine when I load , say, 20,000 songs onto it, but when I try to sync my whole library of around 31,500 songs it no longer works. All I get after the 'OK to disconnect' message has come up is the Apple logo. Attempting to reset doesn't work; reconnecting to the computer I get the message (some of the time) that iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode.
    I can restore the iPod by putting into disk mode, but restoring doesn't solve the problem - it comes back again if I try to sync the full library.
    So, I currently have a new iPod Classic with a big hard drive that is supposed to hold up to 40,000 songs according to specifications and what I was told by the expert in the Apple Store, but so far the behaviour of the two iPods has indicated that in reality it can't handle that many.
    THis is not the first time I've seen this kind of issue with an iPod. I had exactly the same issue when the first 60 GB iPods came out - software only worked with a smaller number of songs.

    I've been able fill up a 160Gb Classic quite happily, although at some point I recall finding my iPod started to crash as I got it filled up. One problem seemed to be that iTunes & Windows would get confused when trying to add a really large number for which this workaround helps during the rebuild.
    *Break up large transfers*
    In iTunes select the menu item *File... New Smart Playlist*. Change the first drop-down box to Playlist, the next to is and the next to Music or whatever playlist holds the bulk of the content you want on your device. Tick against *Limit to*, type in say 10, then change the drop-down to GB, and set the last drop-down to artist. When you click OK you can enter a name for the playlist, e.g. Transfer. Now sync this playlist to your iPod rather than your entire library. When the sync is complete modify the rule ( *File... Edit playlist* ) to increase the size by your chosen amount, then sync and repeat. You can experiment with different size increments, if it doesn't work just choose something a bit smaller until it works each time. Before long you should have all your music on your iPod. Once that's done you can move on to other media such as podcasts, videos, photos, playlists etc.
    The other problem I found is that sometimes the iPod would crash on exiting or even on entry to an iPod game. After a number of restores I determined that the number and complexity of the playlists I was putting on was the cause of the problem. I believe these are loaded into working RAM, so use too much memory for these and the iPod struggles on any other memory hungry task.

  • Long list of issues with CP5 project

    I've been working on a project for the past few weeks and its nearing completion. A couple of things have happened which seem to have completely messed up the project. On the surface all looks well but when you actually use it, major usability issues emerge. I've listed the problems below. Would appreciate any advice if possible. Am using CP5 (latest update applied) on an XP pc.
    1. Throughout the project development I've been publishing to html to test it. All was working fine until I decided to trial a scorm export. When I selected Quiz Preferences to enable scorm reporting, CP locked up. I was then presented with the top strip of the Preferences menu window with the rest missing. This was a blue strip which ran right across the screen and onto my second monitor. I couldn't close it or escape it, or select anything beneath. So I had to force quit, no choice really.
    2. After the force quit I restarted CP and managed to enable scorm reporting. I tested an export (to zip), deployed on my Moodle site and all worked fine. I then noticed I needed to change a few details so went ahead and made these (all I added was a title for the scorm manifest). When I exported again, I ran into problems with my embedded flv videos, saying they were corrupt (which they weren't). I eventually got round this by exporting the zip to its own folder (had been exporting to the main folder containing the CP project file... obviously not a good thing). The exported scorm file is about 74MB.
    3. After all the above issues with the videos were sorted, I tested the scorm export and immediately ran into a whole rang of problems. Every single object that had a fade in & out affect had to have it removed as they were greyed out. My embedded videos were barely visable, looking like they'd been set to a 20% opacity in Pshop. Could still be played though, if you could find the play button. The opening slide decided to immediately fade once the scorm pack launched, despite never setting to do anything of the sort. I had to take a copy of another slide and recreate the front slide, then delete the old one. This seems to have fixed that issue. Now my final slide (which follows on from a Quiz Result slide) has decided to do an immediate fade in & out, so you can't read the text. Again I never told it to do that. All objects on the page have effects/transitions off but this hasn't had any affect at all.
    4. I have also found a very very odd pattern of behaviour with Click boxes used as links to web sites. I have 8 links on a slide (text boxes with text blue colour & click boxes overlaying). Clicking on the 1st two links works fine, opens them in a new window. Clicking on the 3rd, nothing happens. A 2nd click loads the web page. When you close it you find yourself on the next slide and have to go back. The same pattern occurs for the next 3 links. Very very odd.
    5. The other really annoying problem is with my next & back buttons. If I navigate through the package and then click back a few slides (or even go back 1 slide), I can't go forward again. I have to refresh the page. I've also found if I go back to the opening slide its greys outs completely, nothings visable. Again you have to guess when the next button is to move forward. The nav buttons are simple set to "go to next slide" and ticked infinite. This problem completely ruins the who package making it unuseable.
    I'm starting to think something has corrupted my project. If its not that then its CP being buggy. One thing I do know is its one of the most sluggish Adobe apps I've ever used. If I can't fix these issues the course won't be useable and I'll have to start from scratch with something else.

    Hi there. Welcome to the forum.  Sounds like you've had a bad day.
    Since no one else has chimed in yet, I'm going to suggest that you get rid of your Preferences file and let Captivate regenerate this, just in case it resolves some of the glitches.  This preference file can get corrupted and cause all kinds of weird behaviour.  So what I'm suggesting here might sound a bit radical but it's often proven to be successful for Cp weirdness issues.
    Here's an explanation I've copied from another post by the eminent Captiv8tr:
    You might try clobbering the preferences file. If you look in the following location, you should find the file named captivate_40.dat. Just Close Captivate, delete the file and restart Captivate.
    To locate this file, right-click your Start button and choose Explore. This should easily get you in the general area. If you look at the parent folder you should see Application Data. (you may need to configure Windows Explorer to show you this folder) Inside the Application Data folder should be an Adobe folder. And inside the Adobe folder should be the Adobe Captivate folder. And inside this folder should be the file.

  • Web Logic 10.3 upgrade causes issues with escaped characters in JSP.

    We recently upgraded our application servers from Weblogic 9.2 to Weblogic 10.3 and we are having an issue with escaped characters in a JSP code. Here is an example of what we are seeing:
    var convertedBody1 = document.getElementById('body').value.replace(/\$FIRST_NAME\$/g, firstName);
    This code works in Weblogic 9.2. In Weblogic 10.3 we have to make the following changes:
    var convertedBody1 = document.getElementById('body').value.replace(/\$FIRST_NAME\$/g, firstName);
    Thanks, Tom

    Hi:
    I have resolved the issue with the following in the jspx page.
    Put an
    <jsp:scriptlet>
    response.setContentType(“text/html; charset=UTF-8”);
    </jsp:scriptlet>
    Inside the <f:view> on the jspx file.
    Please refer the link http://www.oracle.com/global/il/support/tip/nlss11061.html for more details. It is helpful.

  • In OSB , xquery issue with large volume data

    Hi ,
    I am facing one problem in xquery transformation in OSB.
    There is one xquery transformation where I am comparing all the records and if there are similar records i am clubbing them under same first node.
    Here i am reading the input file from the ftp process. This is perfectly working for the small size input data. When there is large input data then also its working , but its taking huge amount of time and the file is moving to error directory and i see the duplicate records created for the same input data. I am not seeing anything in the error log or normal log related to this file.
    How to check what is exactly causing the issue here,  why it is moving to error directory and why i am getting duplicate data for large input( approx 1GB).
    My Xquery is something like below.
    <InputParameters>
                    for $choice in $inputParameters1/choice
                     let $withSamePrimaryID := ($inputParameters1/choice[PRIMARYID eq $choice/PRIMARYID])
                     let $withSamePrimaryID8 := ($inputParameters1/choice[FIRSTNAME eq $choice/FIRSTNAME])
                     return
                      <choice>
                     if(data($withSamePrimaryID[1]/ClaimID) = data($withSamePrimaryID8[1]/ClaimID)) then
                     let $claimID:= $withSamePrimaryID[1]/ClaimID
                     return
                     <ClaimID>{$claimID}</ClaimID>
                     else
                     <ClaimID>{ data($choice/ClaimID) }</ClaimID>

    HI ,
    I understand your use case is
    a) read the file ( from ftp location.. txt file hopefully)
    b) process the file ( your x query .. although will not get into details)
    c) what to do with the file ( send it backend system via Business Service?)
    Also noted the files with large size take long time to be processed . This depends on the memory/heap assigned to your JVM.
    Can say that is expected behaviour.
    the other point of file being moved to error dir etc - this could be the error handler doing the job ( if you one)
    if no error handlers - look at the timeout and error condition scenarios on your service.

  • FR Layout issue with large number of columns

    Hi!
    I'm developing a report in FR 11.1.1.3 with over 30 columns.
    The issue is that when I run the report in web preview, the dropdown of dimension in page goes to the far right and disappears from the display.
    If I reduce the number of the columns I don't have this problem.
    I've already tried to maximize the workspace to the maximum without any result.
    Can anyone help me to deal with reports with large numbers of columns?
    Regards,
    Luís

    IE8 could be the reason. According to the supported platform matrices (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/oracle-hyperion-epm-system-certific-2-128342.xls), check tab EPM System Basic Platform, row 70, in order IE8 to work, FR and Workspace should be patched.
    FR Patch number: 9657652
    Workspace Patch number: 9314073
    Patches can be found on My Oracle Support. Just search for the patch number.
    Cheers,
    Mehmet
