IDE Update Wizard

Hello
I'm not able to connect to OTN using the IDE update wizard ("check for updates". Whenever I try, I get the following message:
"Unable to connect to OTN
Details: Server returned HTTP response code: 407
for URL:
http://profile.oracle.com/jsp/reg.loginHandler.jsp"
I'm using the correct username and password and my proxy settings are correct.
Has anyone an idea?

Hi,
HTTP status code 407 corresponds to Proxy Authentication Required. You must be behind a proxy server that requires a username / password to connect to the outside world.
Unfortunately, the HTTP stack inside JDeveloper doesn't support authenticated proxies yet - you'll notice similar problems if trying to use other features in the IDE that need to connect to the outside world (e.g. hosted documentation, web services, UDDI).
The ER tracking the addition of proxy authentication is 2595331. I've published this so you can track its progress on metalink.oracle.com.
Thanks,
Brian

  • Windows shows "Hardware Update Wizard" instead of recognizing iPod

I've used my 20GB 4g iPod with Windows XP before and had no problems, but when I recently plugged it into my computer it wouldn't show up -- all I got was the "Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard" window. It says that I need certain drivers in order to install the iPod; does anyone know what the computer means?

I suspect you have a Mac with OSX 10.4.11. To beyond 4.1 you need iTunes 10.x and that requires OSX 10.5.8 or later.

  • Trouble with Update Wizard

I am having trouble updating creator using the Update Center Wizard (Windows XP, sp2).
I see four items in the Available Modules list:
    Java API Reference
    JSE 1.4.2_06
    Preview Features
    Java Studio Creator Update 6
However, when I click the 'Add All' button, only Java API Reference gets transferred to the Include to Install list, and the Add' and 'Add All' button are greyed out.
Does this mean that all the other items are up to date? I would not expect them to show up in the Available list if I already had the latest version of the modules.

    Hi
The list in the update wizard tells you that there are no modules available to update under these folders
    J2SE 1.4.2_06
    Preview Features
    Java Studio Creator Update 6
But Java API Reference module is a known issue that even if this module is updated, it shows in the list and downloads again if you continue. For now please ignore this as Creator people are working on that.

  • Server update wizard for unity 7 what's in it ?

    Hi
I am trying to find out what patches are applied to the server when you run 'ServerUpdatesWizard-v.3.0.05-042010' for Unity 7.  Can find links to older patches detailing which MS patches are being applied but not to this one.  Help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
    Wizard Version 3.0(5), April 2010
Cisco Unity Server Updates wizard version 3.0(5) installs the following software:
•Cisco Security Agent for Cisco Unity version 3.1(7).
•The Microsoft security updates listed in the following sections:
    –Wizard Version 3.0(4), February 2010
    –Wizard Version 3.0(3), January 2010
    –Wizard Version 3.0(2), December 2009
•The Microsoft security updates listed below.
In addition, when this version of the wizard is run on Windows Server 2003 SP1 or SP2, it applies the registry edit described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB 928046. The registry edit fixes a known issue in Cisco Unity in which administering the system over remote desktop connections in console mode crashed the Cisco Unity-CM TSP.
    April 2010
–KB 948496, An update to turn off default SNP features is available for Windows Server 2003-based and Small Business Server 2003-based computers

  • Any work on the "Product Update Wizard"?

    Hi,
As probably the NI engineers are aware, some of us have problems using the “Product Update Wizard” from MAX, if we are on a corporate LAN using secure Internet access.
More specific, if one is on a corporate LAN that uses a proxi server on a non-standard port (let’s say 3128), that also requires a username / password for Internet access, than the “Product Update Wizard” will fail to connect to the NI webserver.
Most other application would pop up a window, prompting for user / password, however the “Product Update Wizard” will just say “Unable to communicate with National Instruments web servers – update check failed.”
Of course, trying to suggest to the IT department to change the Internet access policies for the whole company to get LabVIEW to auto-update would probably get you nowhere. Also, if one has many NI products / toolsets, trying to keep them up to date manually starts to become quite challenging.
Therefore I was wondering if a solution is available, even if it involves registry editing or any other trick.
    Thanks a lot,
    Sorin

    Hi Sorin,
When you try to use the update wizard and it fails, it should create a htm file called max.htm or similar (I can't give you the exact filename as when I use the update wizard it works OK and therefore doesn't create this file.
Try running the update wizard and when it fails, then go off and do a search on your hard drive for max.htm or max.html or anything similar. If you can find it then run the htm file and you should be able to run the update wizard through there.
If this doesn't work, then please feel free to get back in touch with me and I will investigate other ways we can try and get this working.
    Best regards,
    Peter H.

  • Unity 5 Software Updates Wizard

The Untiy SUW download listings for 2010 don't include Untiy 5.0. Does SUW 3.0(3) and 3.0(4) work with Unity 5 also? The latest version listed for Unity 5.0 was 3.0(2), which I have installed.
    Thanks
    Chris

Yes, the newer versions can be run on Unity 5. See the link below which states:
The Cisco Unity Server Updates wizard can be run on the following Cisco Unity and
    Cisco Unity–related servers:•
    Cisco Unity 5.x, 7.x, and 8.x servers.
    Cisco Unity 5.x and 7.x voice-recognition servers.

  • Unity Server Update Wizard v.3.0(22) or v.3.0(20)

I would like to find out what updates are contained within the following:
Unity Server Update Wizard version 3.0(20)
Unity Server Update Wizard version 3.0(22)
Both have the same release date of Dec. 30th, 2011.
I have checked the http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/updates/wizard/2011cuupwz.html link, but it hasn't been updated since September.

Thanks for your response. I guess in my heart of hearts, I'd convinced myself that the Unity SUW was the way to go but with Microsoft issuing "out of band” critical updates (the latest one is for IE if memory serves), it was useful to see what others are doing.
I'll follow your advice and stick with Cisco
    Best regards

  • The Deploy Software Updates Wizard completed with errors - Access is Denied

Hello, I am trying to download some updates that were synced up to the SCCM's database from another WSUS server. I am not able to get it done because the wizard fails with the access is denied error. I checked patchdownloader.log file and saw Error code
= 5  which means access denied. I tried to change permissions on the "updateservicespackages" folder within the folder, and I have full NTFS permissions for system, administrators, and read only permissions for everyone. Same thing goes for
the share permissions. My account is in the administrators group. The only way I can get it to work is by granting full permissions to "everyone", but that cannot be security friendly. Which account is "Deploy Software Updates Wizard" using
so that I can properly give it the required rights?

    Hi,
You could have a look at the thread below. Lucas used ProcMon that shows an access denied with the user which he was using.  Permission via group wasn't enough. Give your user full share/security access and everything works fine.

  • Deselected (unchecked) windows updates are showing in offline updates wizard summary

I unchecked those Internet Explorer 11 installation and updates when filtered to do the offline updates of the wim image. After I clicked next, I see them in the Summary
section. I went through all software updates area and ensured they're not the member of any already created updates group. They some reasons still show up in the offline update wizard summary like I chose them. How do I for surely rid of those unwanted updates
    from the offline updates?
    Thanks,
    Pete G.

    Hi,
This issue has been fixed by SCCM SP1 CU4.
In the Operating system deployment section:
"The wrong software update for an operating system image may be selected the list of items that are returned in the Schedule Updates Wizard is sorted."

  • Server Update Wizard for Unity 7

I can't seem to find any documentation on this, but I'm basically looking for best practices when running the server update wizard.
For example, should I run the update wizard on the failover server first with the "automatic failover and failback" and "file replication" disabled?
    Any info is appreciated.  Thanks.

If you have a Unity failover setup with automatic failover configured, then you could safely install updates on the Primary server and allow failover/failback to work as configured.  In this manner, Unity will failover when the server reboots and failover when the server is back online and services are up.  Then when you update the failover server, it just requires install/reboot - i.e., all else is operating normally.  The process can be done in the reverse as well.  Update backup first, then primary.
As far as best practice is concerned, this is probably flexible since the SUW is usually a pretty benign process.  The best practice would be to perform during off-hours when call volume is low.  You shouldn't need to tweak any failover/failback settings as long as you're operating during an approved window.

  • 'check for updates' wizard times out

    Hi;
Although I have the correct login/pw for the 'check for updates' wizard, in times out -very quickly <= 1 second.
How can I get that to work, please?
    Thanks,
    -nat

First; Hi. Long time no speak. I have been into Eclipse for the past, oh, > 12 months.
But now, with 9.05, I might be back on the JDev bandwagon (applause). I find it straightforward for folks that don't need or want bc4j, and its up to j2ee 1.4 spec, and it works well with many other j2ee servers.
Now, as far as this issue(automatic updates online) is concerned, although I can understand that it does not work for 9.0.3, it very likely works for 9.0.5 folks, with incremental updates, bug fixes, et al. (eg I read somewhere that it now supports the Sun Appserver 8, which is an update I'm after.)See? Eclipse spoiled me. They have extensive on-line updates management per module.
So, if anyone can confirm either of the views expressed in this thread, please do so.
    Thanks;

  • Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard refuses to ...

I'm trying to upgrade the OS on my Nokia 770 since the existing software is so out of date I can hardly use it to go online anymore. I downloaded the Update Wizard from the nokia site and have been trying for days to get it to find my 770 to perform the update. I even found videos of the process on youtube to make sure I was using it correctly and I am. But the Wizard always says it cannot find the device even though it is working properly and shows up on the USB bus and other programs can find it and I can transfer files to it.
I've contact Nokia tech support and their only solution was to reinstall the software which I've done for the fourth time today and still not working. I really don't want to sell my 770 but if I can't update the software I'm gonna have to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Ideas Update available now

    Adobe Ideas 2.7 is here!
Our new update includes several user-requested features to the free iOS application that lets anyone create freeform vector illustrations on their iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
    Here’s what’s new:
Stylus Support – Ideas now includes pressure sensitive stylus support for Ten One Design’s Pogo Connect Bluetooth Pen, which enables users to be more expressive with their drawing strokes and achieve creative effects more naturally. It also allows for palm rejection so that users can draw while resting their palm on the iPad without interference. In addition, users cancontrol their brushes, colors, opacity and size by simply tapping the button on the pen. Pogo Connect works with the iPad 3, 4 and iPad Mini.
Stroke Smoothing – Based on community feedback, designers can now choose their preference on what line smoothing method works best for them. Users can choose to smooth the drawing stroke while drawing for increased accuracy, or after to achieve smoother curves.
Share to other applications – Users can also share designs to other applications such as Behance and Photoshop Touch.
We can’t wait to see what you create next!

That's correct. The iPad has no built in mechanism for pressure sensitivity and requires an Bluetooth-connected pressure sensitive pen such as the Pogo Connect to capture pressure information.

  • Software Update Wizard Problem

I'm trying to update the software on my N80 but the wizard keeps failing to work. I keep getting this message:
The wizard was interrupted before Nokia Software Updater could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.
I have tried several times but I get the same message each time. Any help to solve this is much appreciated.

I think your installation file is corrupted. Please download again and try. This time when you download, select N73 and click next and download the app. Although you have N80, do this. Cuz I've heard some people say, that N80 link is corrupted. The N73 will download the same thing. So its compatible with any N series phone.
