Identify if a user is logged in via GUI or IC Webcient

Hello,
  I have to implement a badi.
The logic in the BADI is dependent on how the user is logged in.
Is there any way of identifying if a user is logged in via the GUI or via IC WebCLient.
Thanks and regards,
Murli Rao

Hi
i have used the system field sy-CPROG.  if it equals sapmhttp, it is on the webic.
Hope this helps

  • Mysterious user appears logged in via SMB

    I'm running Snow Leopard Server (10.6.3), and for the last couple of days I've noticed a mysterious user logged in via SMB.
    The connections panel shows user name "Guest" at address "DENY_NONE" connected for 00.00 hours. It seems to really slow down the network when this ghost user is accessing the server.
    I may be wrong, but this user seems to appear after I have our Windows 7 test machine (iMac 3GHz Core 2 Duo) access the server.
    I also get the following message in the logs for hours after the machine logs off:
    [2010/05/03 14:01:10, 0, pid=51155] /SourceCache/samba/samba-235.2/samba/source/locking/posix.c:posixfcntlgetlock(250)
    posixfcntlgetlock: WARNING: lock request at offset 2147516416, length 32768 returned
    an Invalid argument error. This can happen when using 64 bit lock offsets
    on 32 bit NFS mounted file systems.
    The only way to get rid of this is by shutting down SMB for a few minutes.
    Any ideas on fixing this? We're going to be switching all our Windows clients to Windows 7 soon, and I don't want to magnify this problem 10- to 20-fold when we do.
    I don't get these messages when our Windows XP clients access files from the server.

    I am also having a related issue that I noticed on Snow Leopard Server 10.6.3, I have upgraded to 10.6.4 and I am still experiencing issues. The error messages in the SMB log on 10.6.4 SL Server in Server Admin:

    I have restarted the server and I initiated an SMB connection from my 10.6.4 MBP and then noticed in the SMB Connections that a mysterious user appears - Guest DENY_NONE
    I am not able to disconnect this user, and this also happens when Vista/Win7 users connect.
    I haven't seen anybody resolve these issues yet, but maybe someone here can help. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  • Creative Cloud Teams member cannot log in via Desktop app

    Weird problem I have. Our company have 9 seat teams account, and one of our users cannot log in via the desktop app and use apps. Have worked just fine for the last year until today.
    He has the old Application Manager installed as well as he had upgraded from older apps, and we are renewing our yearly subscription these days. Could any of that be the problem. Odd thing is, he is the only team member that has this problem.
    He can log in to his account on the web just fine.

  • Can only connect one user at a time via VPN?

    Hi, long-term Mac user but new to OS X Server. Dug thru the forums quite a bit but couldn't find an answer to this one - hopefully I wasn't searching with the wrong keywords.
    Installed OS X Server 10.6 on a MacBook (white, 1 generation back) at the office. Sits behind an Airport Extreme, which is connected to Comcast. Other machines at the office are NOT routed through the Server, but rather connect directly to the Airport Extreme for internet access. I've set up server.mydomainname.com to point to our Comcast address, and I am able to connect via VPN to the server without any problems, and access the server using the server.mydomainname.com address which I pointed to my Comcast IP address, as long as I check "Send all traffic over VPN connection" on my client.
    However, when I'm logged in via VPN on one computer, and then log in via VPN on another computer (with the same UID or a different one), the first one loses all connectivity through the VPN - it's as if it had been logged off.
    In Server Admin, under the Settings|Network tabs, I have Computer Name set up as "theserver", and Local Hostname as "theserver" (so I can access via theserver.private). VPN is set up to enable L2TP over IPsec, sharing ranges 10.0.1.200 thru 10.0.1.220; no load balancing, no PPTP. Client DNS servers is set to 10.0.1.29.
    Any ideas as to why I can only connect with one client at a time?

    Thanks. I didn't see anything interesting, but then again I'm not up on VPN details. Here's the scenario:
    First, I logged in as "user1", and I can use the VPN.
    Then, I logged in as "user2", and I can use the VPN with user2, but user1 is no longer able to do anything over the VPN.
    Then I hung up with user2, but user1 still can't see anything over the VPN.
    Then I hung up and reconnected with user1, and user1 can use the VPN again.
    Here's part of the log for this activity. I've replaced potentially identifying info with "XYZ" for safety. Appreciate any thoughts on this!

    The main server was restored from a bare-metal backup from 6 months prior to the latest backup of the VMs (not sure if pertinent)
    Since the Restore, Domain computers cannot access file shares on the main server or VMs - "unspecified network error
    0x80004005
    Removed the main server from the Domain to re-join it due to some issues with logging in (even with a Domain Admin account) - Found that any PC removed from the domain was no longer able
    to rejoin - Receive (Network path was not found error)
    Domain Users cannot log in to their computers - Error reads "The trust relationship between this computer and the domain has been lost" - Domain Admin accounts can log in without
    problem.
    Have been working on it for two weeks and tried most of the things that I have found in others questions for related
    DCDIAG results (run on DC VM) - More errors appear if run on the Server (Locator DcGetDcName(GC_Server_Required) call failed, error 1722 (same for PDC, TIME, GOOD_TIME, and KDC)

    All PCs can ping the DC, and get name resolution.  Checked IPs, DNS on both WS and DC (DC points to its own IP address with no other DNS), Forwarders for DNS appear to be working,
    as normal DNS name resolution and internet access works on all PCs.  Have tried disabling NIC card and installing another NIC.  All searches keep pointing back at the same things that I have tried.  I feel like I am missing something stupid.
     Please help

    The backup you used is too old. That is why your clients are experiencing trust relationship failures: the computer passwords are no longer matching so they are failing to connect to AD. You need to disjoin and join them again.
    I understand that this is the only DC you have so please make sure that the DC is not multihomed, that it points to its private IP address as primary DNS server and 127.0.0.1 as secondary one. Also, you might need to rebuild your SYSVOL folder if you keep
    getting the SYSVOL errors: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/315457?wa=wsignin1.0

  • Is there a way to force a file sharing user to log out?

    I have a problem: I've got a few more Macs in my office that need to connect to my computer from time to time via file sharing than OS X Snow Leopard wants to allow. I know Apple wants me to use OS X Server but I don't want to lose the simplicity of my normal workflow. Part of the problem is that users are not logged out unless they manually close the file share, which means that, say, a laptop that's asleep will still be taking up one "file sharing user slow" even though it's not needed. I can see who is logged in via the command
    set theUsers to do shell script "netstat -na | awk '/.548/ {print $5}'"
    but want I need to know is, is there any way to force, say, user 192.168.1.8.50244 off of my file share without stopping and restarting file sharing, which logs everyone out (and breaks some of my scripts on other computers.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • How can I find the IP address of guest users who log on to my Adobe Connect Meeting?

    We had an Adobe Connect meeting that was open for guest users to log in under generic user names. Does the Adobe Connect meeting log keep the IP address or other identifiable information for these guest users?

    Footprints will track and report the User IP's.

  • How to find out if a user is logged into a windows XP or VISTA machine

    Hi,
    Could somebody please tell me how to find out remotely over a LAN, whether a user is logged into a computer that is running windows XP/VISTA or not? How can this be programmatically done if we know the name of the remote machine?
    Thanks.
    Ravisara

    Hi,
    Thanks for all the replies.
    Actually it seems that my question has either been misunderstood or has been badly phrased by me.
    What I want to know precisely is the way to find out if a user is logged into a machine or not. Say for example in a LAN there are three computers called A, B and C. If my Java program is running on machine C, how can the program check whether a user is logged into machine A? Assuming JRE is present in all three machines, the machines have as their OS windows XP or VISTA and all machines are connected to a windows domain(Windows 2003 server based network)
    The idea here is to identify all the computers in a network that users are not logged into and then to remotely shutdown those computers in order to minimize wastage of electricity(preferably after a particular time of the day in an organization).
    Any replies would be much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Ravisara

  • [Forum FAQ] Group Policy Preferences Scheduled Tasks Item not working when the option Run whether user is logged on or not is selected

    Scenario:
    We use one of the following Group Policy Preferences Scheduled Tasks item to deploy a task to clients:
    Computer Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Scheduled Task (At least Windows 7)
    Computer Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Immediate Task (At least Windows 7)
    User Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Scheduled Task (At least Windows 7)
    User Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Immediate Task (At least Windows 7)
    (Note that on some platforms, "At least Windows 7" is replaced with "Windows Vista and later.")
    After designating a user account to run the task, we select “Run whether user is logged on or not” option, and “The Do not store password…”
    check box is automatically grayed out (See Figure 1).
    Figure 1
    After finishing configuring the task item, on a client, we run command
    gpupdate/force to forcefully update group policy. However, on the client, when we check if the task is listed in Task Scheduler snap-in, the task is not displayed, and when we run
    gpresult/h report.html to collect group policy result for troubleshooting, we see an error as similar as shown in the following figure (Figure 2).
    Figure 2
    Cause:
    To make the scheduled task run whether the user is logged on or not, we need to store the password of the designated user account. However, for the content of the scheduled
    task item is stored in Sysvol where it’s not safe to store passwords, this function has been deprecated.
    Workaround:
    We can run the task with system account
    NT Authority\System, or we can use specific user accounts to run the task when the given user is logged on. (See Figure 3)

    Hello Everyone,
    Succeeded !!!!!!!
    Even i was struggling with this same Problem to execute a batch via Window scheduler and set the setting to "Run whether the user is logged in or not".
    I tried many time but the batch runs with " Run
    whether user is logged on" and not with "Run
    whether user is logged on or not".
    what i discovered is that there was one mapped drive
    path in my batch file which was not the complete path like y:/AR.qvw actually what i did i changed that map path to the complete path like \\servnamename\d$\AR.qvw and the batch executed successfully with the setting "Run
    whether user is logged on or not"
    The
    conclusion is that check the dependency of the script on external resources because when you check this option "Run
    whether user is logged on or not" It actually conflicts. This my discovery.
    If
    you have any question write me on [email protected]
    Thanks
    & Regards,

  • Errors in the /users/unison/log/das.log file with  "xitemid not unique".

    When reviewing /users/unison/log/das.log it is showing errors with
    "xitemid not unique":
    <P>
    DATE = Current date
    PID = 12492
    DEXOTEK ERRCODE Ox1800B -> ctldap_ItemGetById: ctldap_LDAPEntryGetById
    DATE = Current date
    PID = 12743
    DEXOTEK ERRCODE Ox1800B -> ctldap_LDAPEntryGetById: xItemId not unique
    <P>
    Also, when comparing the das.log to the directory server access log matching
    the timestamp from the error above, you may see errors such as the
    following:
    [23/Jun/1998:15:45:28 -0700] conn=37 op=66 SRCH base="o=Ace Industries,c=US" scope=2
    filter="(nscalxitemid=10000:00257)"

    [23/Jun/1998:15:45:28 -0700] conn=37 op=68 RESULT err=4 tag=101 nentries=2
    in which an err= 4 is LDAP SIZELIMIT EXCEEDED. This means that the search
    resulted in multiple entries with the same ID, so the server does not
    know which value to return.
    <P>
    These log entries might be due to duplicate or multiple nscalxitemid attributes
    in a replicated directory server, i.e., each calendar enabled user and resource
    is suppose to have a single, unique nscalxitemid attribute.
    <P>
    An example attribute entry in the LDAP database of user 00257 on
    node 10000 would be:
    <P>
    nscalxitemid: 10000:00257
    <P>
    To identify these duplicate or multiple nscalxitemid attributes, use the new calendar
    server tool, unidsdiff, which can be downloaded from
    http://help.netscape.com/business/filelib.html#caltools.

  • [Fixed] Can't log in via LXDM 0.4.1-2

    Ever since the patch update 0.4.1-3 I haven't been able to log in via LXDM. I skipped a few revisions, but as -7 has been out for a while now, I tried updating again today. Same result. .pac* files have been merged and LXDM itself starts up fine.
    Any help here? (Also, which log files should I investigate/do you need to see?)

    I am currently experiencing the same issue described here. I try to login and it goes to a blank screen and then immediately goes back out to the login window. It does not matter what desktop I choose.
    My lxde.log file does not seem to have anything. Here is the tail end of it:
    ** Message: start greeter on :0
    ** Message: greeter 0 session 0x80fb438
    ** Message: user 0 session 0x80fb438 cmd USER_LIST

    I couldn't find anything in the Xorg file. I don't know if this is relevant but slim is doing the same thing.

  • But User IS logged in!

    In ConsloleOne (running on NW65sp6, eDir ver 8.7.3.9) If I select (with
    a right-click) a user and choose "Remote Manage", I get a message that
    says the User Is not logged in to any workstation (error 1759).
    That's a lie.
    When I examine that User ID's properties, under the ZenWorks tab, under
    "Logged in Workstation", I see the name of the PC on which that person in
    logged in.
    If I select to view the Details of that workstation, from there I am
    able to Remote Control the PC and I find that very User ID logged in on
    that workstation.
    What's going on? Any clues?

    That's a good idea but on our network (via ZFD) a Workstation Only is disallowed on all clients. They must login to eDirectory or they don't get to use their PC. If they're using it, they're logged in to the network and have a valid IP address. I've verified this in person, not just remotely.
    Besides, if a PC is on, logged in or not, it MUST have a unique ip address assigned by DHCP.
    Also, as I describe in the last the third and fourth paragraphs of my original post, I can, via the workstation object, remote control where the user is logged in.
    I appreciate your response, Thomas. Any more ideas?

    Maybe the user logged in with workstation only checked?

  • Using GPO to pin a preset list of icons on the taskbar for each user that logs onto their workstation?

    I would like to have the taskbar show a predetermined set of icons (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) pinned to taskbar when a user first logs into their host machine.   Is this doable through a default GPO setting or do I need to do this via scripting?

    Hi onetech-it,
