Identifying contacts

Hi,
Not sure I am posting in the correct location but I am just getting ready to use the webos system to restore my phone as I am suffering from the camera app loading problem like many others.
It seems by default the phone adds new contacts to my profile and for my own peace of mind I prefer to store my contacts and numbers on my sim card. I know how to move these to my sim but how do I easily and quickly identify which contacts are stored in my profile?
The phone rather helpfully tells me I have 5 contacts stored in my profile but doesnt tell me which ones :/
I dont really want to go through each and every single one if I can help it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello and welcome to the forums;
If you could get a blank SIM card, perhaps one from a local phone store they use for testing, you could then see only the contacts stored in your Profile.
Without this, you would need to look at each contact and see where it is stored.

Sometimes when I add new contacts on my iPhone/iPad, I forget to assign them to a group. Does anyone know how I can identify these contacts easily so I can assign them to groups later on? I use the Mac's Address Book when I do bulk editing and cleanup of my contacts.

Phone app - not identifying contacts

I dont know if anyone else has noticed this and also I dont know if it a post 1.3 issue or not as I didnt notice it earlier. Anyway I have populated my contacts using full international numbers so they start +44.... etc. The phone app correctly identifies incoming mobile/cell phone numbers in my contacts but landlines within the UK dont get associated with the corresponding number in the contacts list so unless I know the number by heart I dont know how is calling. I am surprised that mobile calls are handled differently to landline. Any ideas anyone? I am quite happy to go in and vi a few files if there is something straighforward to edit. Also I have noticed with incoming calls the phone screen wakes up but when the other person drops the call it goes back to screen off and locked immediately, and idea how I make it stay awake after the call is finished. I had a brief look here and also on maemo.org but couldnt find anything that popped out at me. Regards Noel

ok first i only have the numbers out of my country with internationl format, all the numbers that are in the country you live in don't need international codesl and i didn't get your phone calls problem, but most of the ui problems were fixed with the modified hildon-desktop .

Method needed to identify Contacts that are not valid from the Comp Screen

Problem
My Company has 65k contacts in the system, we do not delete contacts that are no longer at company, as when we buy data our data in some cases will be more up to date that the third party data available on the market. This then means when a user looks at a company record and the related contacts, he has to hover the cusor over each of the contacts to check if they are valid or not.
Goal
When a user looks at the contacts linked to the company the following fields will be presnt:
Contact Valid
Contact Leave Date.
This will then mean the user will be able to see without looking which contacts are valid and which are not.
Problems
I have tried to create a contact page layout with the fields needed however the only fields avaiable are as follows:
Company ID
Company Name
Company Status
Contact ID
Contact Name
Contact Roles
Location
Primary

However I think I didn't make myself clear in my post in terms of the problem. The problem I have is that when a user looks at a company (account) record the user see the following information in relation to which of the available contacts to select "Primary,Last & First name,Job Title, Contact Role, Work Phone and Email". However none of these fields show if the contact is valid or if they have a leave date.
Both Contact Valid and Contact Leave date have been set up in the system within the contact record. I want to change the layout and have spent hours in the following screens and functions.

The problem is the screens/functions where I think I could add the two above mentioned fields end up with me turning the fileds into required or read only fields, and the section where I want to drag in the fields to display has the two fields missing.

I had the same problem with the same company. It was supposedly an update of 'New Player' as if that's not phishy, plus it wouldn't allow me to close it. I even rebooted and it just came right back. It's like zombie malware and I can only imagine what would have happened if I had actually let it run. I couldn't even delete the files it put on my computer in the normal way but SuperAntiSpyware's 'Uninstall Unwanted Software' tool found it and got rid of it. I can't say enough good things about SuperAntiSpyware and would recommend it to anyone with a computer.

Spry Accordian not working

I've been trying to add 3 collapsible areas on a web page I'm developing with the Spry Accordion widget while using CS4 and I can't get them to close by default when the browser opens. When I open IE8 or Firefox you can see the entire content and when I click on the tabs they won't collapse. I've tried using the help section http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/collapse_panel/ but can't seem to get anything to work - not sure if I should be following it since it was created back in 2006.
I've done some other reading on this site and I'm using the updated JS file 1.6.1 and changed the default panel to -1 (this.defaultPanel = -1;) in the SpryAccordion.js file and they now close in Firefox but won't open when the tab is clicked. Changing the default panel did not change anything in IE.
Can someone please help since I'm a novice at this? I've added the section of Accordion code I'm using on the page if it helps.

AG, I removed all the accordion code and reworked the page with the collapsible content code but still having the same problem. There must be something I'm missing but I can't find it. When I added it I used the Insert menu for Spry Collapsible Panel in Dreamweaver if that helps.

Trouble with SQL Expressions

Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble with this SQL expression that works in 8.5, and XI R2 runtime and designer, but I cannot edit the expression. As soon as I open the SQL Expression and click the X-2 check button, the error following

Okay, to simplify the illustration of the problem Iu2019m facing, Iu2019ve created a bare bones example as described below:
I've created a report that returns all contacts from our "CONTACT" table. On the report, I've created a SQL expression to return a count of all contacts with the similar last name, as shown below:
(Select count(a1.ContactID) from CONTACT a1 where a1.LASTNAME = "CONTACT"."LASTNAME")
When I try to save the SQL expression, I get this error:

This SQL expression works fine in CRW 8.5, but no luck in XI R2 SP4 - As mentioned above in the thread, this seems to be an issue solely with how XI R2 is parsing the SQL Expression. If I remove the "A1" alias from my expression all is good, but that will not work for some of the more advanced SQL expressions I have that are using joins and sub queries.
What will it take to get this recognized as an issue worthy of a hot fix? I'm at a stand-still here, facing the unfortunate possibility of having to re-architect many of my reports. Please help.

Faces and Address Book - can you sync key photos?

I really liked it how the new iPhoto uses address book to get the details of people when you identified them with faces. I thought it would be really useful if Address Book could sync the identified contacts with the 'key photos' used in iPhoto, but annoyingly this does not seem to be possible, unless you manually drag and drop each image you want into each individual card.
Does anyone know if there an easy way of doing this - or - have Apple uncharacteristically overlooked an opportunity for cross-application information sharing?

This is not currently a feature of iPhoto - request from Apple -- iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
Since this is version one of faces I would expect to see additional functionality in future versions - the address book feed to faces was added in update 2 I believe it was

Feature request to support ICE

ICE is adding "In Case of Emergency" information to your phone contacts. I would like to have ICE information on my phone but I also want to password protect the phone. The feature would be to enable access to ICE identified contacts & information with the password enabled.

Just bought sims 4 game and downloaded it but it won't open

i just bought a Sims 4 game for my daughter. We downloaded it but now it won't open. When we click on it it says we need windows to open it. Can anyone help?

If you bought a Windows version of the game, you cannot run it directly on MAcOS X. You would need a Bootcamp partition with Windows.
Contact the Customer Service and see, if you can change the version to a macoS X version:

Sims won't open

ok i installed boot camp and windows, and all that. my sims loaded fine, it just won't play. i try to open it and i get an error message saying a security module needed can't be activated. how do i fix this?

I change everything into +63 and i thought everything is already fine,.. and then now , i dont know what happened why it doesnt recognize numbers with +63 anymore

Thank you for your question. iTunes 11.1 is required to update to and sync with iOS 7. If you are still running iTunes 10.6.3, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

Help with data imports and identifying correct contact

Hi Guys,
I am looking to import some data from a csv into a table called 'interactions'
This table is linked to contact via a 1-to-many relationship.
when I am importing data often I get errors saying that it cant determine which contact to use because we have contacts with the same name.
Is there anyway I can import data into the 'interaction' table and not only say which contact this is attached to but also provide some more information such as the contacts parent account so that it can identify the correct contact more often and leave
me less that I need to add manually?

The data import wizard is built into CRM. You can now place csv files of different entities into a single zipped file to do a sort of pseudo batch import.
It may be helpful to download a template of the import file for the entity that you want to import. This can be downloaded within CRM. The benefit is that you are given the column headings. And when you hover over a column heading, it tells
you the data type it will expect. I will use the template and just copy and paste the data in from another spreadsheet if I get the data from a user. The import runs smoother then.
If you have the resources, there are 3rd party tools such as Scribe that can import data from different sources into CRM. A bit costly but you can get a trial version to test. The trial may only be good for 2 weeks. But it offers the ability
to transform data if necessary for the import.
