IDoc - File filter in Message Mapping
I'm trying to move employees from an IDoc to a File. I want to filter on field E1BEN31-LEVL1 and only create ROW in the FILE if E1BEN31-LEVL1 = '1000'. How do I do this?
Source: 1 single IDoc with multiple employees in it
BENEFIT3->
IDOC->
E1BEN01->
E1BEN02-> (different E1BEN02 segment for each employee)
BEGDA
ENDDA
LEVL1 (filter field)
etc.
Target: File with multiple line items
FILE->
ROW-> (should be a ROW for each E1BEN02 segment in the IDoc)
NAME
ADDRESS
etc.
Hi. Susan
Use graphic functions.

[RFC to File]Problem about Changing file name in message mapping.
Hi,
my problem:
Type:RFC to File
I change the file name in message mapping.
when I call the RFC to send the data twice at the same time, both of the output file names are changed while I only want to change the second output file name.
thanks
SamIn my MM, the input values to these variables (var1, var2 and var3) are (<ZZCOMBI>array,G499999,END_FIFC0029) ,
var1 is an array of input <ZZCOMBI> item list;
var2 is get from a property file by call another UDF;
var3 is constant value.
the test input data :
I send the data for the first time:
- <rfc:Z_IFCFR821_ZIFCTT82100010 xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">

<ZZKYKBN>*</ZZKYKBN>
<ENAME_VE />
<ENAME_Z5 />

</T_ZIFCTS82100010>
</rfc:Z_IFCFR821_ZIFCTT82100010>
so the input values to these variables (var1, var2 and var3) are (G000002G000002,G499999,END_FIFC0029)
the output file name(File1) :END_FIFC002920090413-171534-053.dat
output record: G000002G000002
because the data what I send is the last record, the system send the dummy data for the second time by program.
- <rfc:Z_IFCFR821_ZIFCTT82100010 xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
- <T_ZIFCTS82100010>

</T_ZIFCTS82100010>
</rfc:Z_IFCFR821_ZIFCTT82100010>
so the input values to these variables (var1, var2 and var3) are (G499999,G499999,END_FIFC0029)
the output file name(File2) :END_FIFC002920090413-171533-928.dat
output record: G499999
I find that File2(20090413-171533-928) was ouput before File1(20090413-171534-053 ) from the time stamp.
I am not sure about that "XI will create a message ID for each message and the messages are independent." as you mentioned above.
Best regards

I need to sort the incoming file contents before message mapping
Hi All,
I have requirement like i have to sort the file contents before message mapping in Xi. is there any option please suggest me with your value information.i dont want to sort in message mapping before that i want file contents to be sorted order.waiting for your quick reply.
Thanks,
seshagiriHi,
You can do this in one scenario.
Lets say you have MT_Source and MT_Target as two message types.
Now your MM1 will be between MT_Source & MT_Source, that is same message type. Here you built your sorting logic.
Now create MM2, between MT_Source & MT_Target. Here your actual mapping logic will be implemented. The input payload for MM2 will be sorted data.
Now in operation mapping, first call MM1 and then call MM2 (You have a plus + sign to add multiple mapping programs). Due to this sequence, at run time first MM1 will be executed and after that its oupt will be given to MM2 as source payload.
Hope its clear. Plz let me know if you have any doubts.

In Idoc bundling ...message mapping not found
Hi XI Friends..
In my File to Idoc scenario..i want to send multiple IDOCs from the XI without a BPM .
I am following blog by Michal.
<a href="///people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change:///people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
I have xsd for source ..so i created one external definition .and message interface for outbound.
following the above blog by michal..
i imported idoc ..and i exported that idoc into xsd and i changed the occurance of idoc to unbounded and again imported as external definition.
i created the message mapping between these two external definitions.and tested ..
As in michal 's blog..
In Interface mapping..i given source and target interface as standard idoc.and clicked on Read interface then i am not finding the message mapping created in previous step..
i refreshed cache also..
please guide me.....
regards
ramHi bavesh...
thank you so much for very your quick responses..
i got xsd as source..based on xsd i created external definition for source xsd and i created outbound interface based on source external deifinition MI_OUT_WearUnits.
and i imported Idoc and exported as xsd and changed occurance to unbounded and again imported as external definition.
i did mapping between these two external definitions.
and i selected standard idoc for source and target interface for interface mapping and given message mapping of previous step.
In ID
sender agreement :
sender service :BS_external
sender interface :MI_OUT_WearUnits
receiver agreement:
receiver service :R/3
receiver interface : standard Idoc
Interface determination:
sender service :BS_external
sender interface :MI_OUT_WearUnits
reciever service :R/3
and clicked create
inbound interface : Standard IDOc
i am not getting Interface mapping which i created in IR.
i tried Enhance interface determination also..
please guide me....
waiting for your help.

Issue with IDOC occurence and SeeBurger message mapping
Hey Guys
While developing a EDI 850 to IDOC scenario i came across this issue with pre-delivered Seeburger mapping(A_850_V4010_to_I_ORDERS05).
I actually need to post multiple IDOC's to SAP system in the same message so i changed the IDOC occurence to unbounded and re-imported that as a .XSD file in Integration repository.
Earlier the pre-delivered message mappings provided by SeeBurger(under SEEBURGER_HIGH-TECH, 1.7.1 of seeburger) was working fine for me since i was posting only 1 IDOC but now the mapping is failing as the IDOC occurence has changed(unbounded).
Is there a way we can do some settings on SeeBurger server or Bic so that we can use the pre-delivered mapping for Multiple IDOC's as well?
I just want to make sure before i start off with doing whole of the mapping manually.
Thanx
AamirThanx for the input guys
@Deepthi.
Doing whole of mapping manualy is definitely the last option but i m looking for ways to re-use the pre-delivered SeeBurger mapping.
>>Seeburger Mapping is only just to convert XML to EDI and EDI to XML.
Bic mapping designer does this,i m dealing with message mapping of XI(convert source to target) not Bic designer right now,and Bic does more than just XML to EDI and vice versa,it handles other industry standards too.
@Jens
>>The XI message mappings from Seeburger in the Industry solutions are mapping templates
Yeah,but the mapping template i have deals with 850 to ORDERS05,when i change IDOC occurence and re-import it back in Integration repository,it doesn't stays as ORDERS05,it has to be changed to user defined message interface(in my case MI_ORDERS05) so i m unable to use 850 to ORDERS05 template.
@Seshagiri
>>Open the Seeburger SWCV From the IR--goto External Def---Select the right one and copy it and paste it in notepad.
Changing the occurence is not an issue,i want to re-use the pre-delivered mapping in Integration repository,which is not working.
Looks like i need to do it manually
Thanx

Putting filter in message mapping
I am trying to put a filter for company codes such that if a type of company code comes in the file from source, it will filter out and send it to target system. I have set of company codes and values that I want to pass but want to filter out some company codes with certain values only. How can I achieve that? One possible way I can think of is If/then/Else logic with fixed values mapping.
Is there a blog or step by step guide? Can anyone help how I can do this in message mapping?
Thanks for your help.hi,
if you filter multi-row record for source, if/else, not solution, you should look at this blog, if XI is 3.0 version, /people/venkataramanan.parameswaran/blog/2006/03/17/illustration-of-enhanced-receiver-determination--sp16
Does anybody know how to handle this with XI 7.0?
because SAP_BASIS_7.0 does not have http://sap.com/xi/system, ReceiverDetermination for Message Interface under interface object.
thanks

File to file with out message mapping and using variable substitution
Hi,
Can any one send me a scenario where we can have file to file scenario with out message mapping and where i can use variable substitution.
As of now i am using integrate configurations where i cant use variable substitution as the message does not reflect in integration engine. I need to populate time stamp between <filename><timestamp>.txt.pgp
I am as of now using configuration scenario.
The time stamp always writes before the last file extension.
Let me know your thoughts?
Thanks,
Chandra.Hi Chandra,
u can use the Variable substitution even without IR contents also(Mapping....).
in the receiver communication channel just specify the path u want to access for a value...
eg: filename payload:mt_name,1,records,1,name,1
and in th file name give it as %filename%.txt... or vt ever ur requirement

DESADV.DELVRY 03(IDOC) - File Scenario .Issue with Mapping
Hi All,
we have used DESADV.DELVRY 03 as Source. we need to generate an XML file.
Condition : we have segment :u2022E1ADRM1 : Central Address Segment Group, Main .this is Unbounded (0 ...99)
The Segments has field: PARTNER_Q . The IDOC can have PARTNER_Q(Qualifier) as -> WE, SP, OSO.
The condition is if PARTNER_Q =WE , then the data of SHIP TO PARTy should be transfered to file
Same time, If Partner_Q =AG , Data of Sold to Party " should be transfered.
Note :1.I DOC generated can have PARTNER_Q= SP, AG , OSP , ZM etc.
2. The adress are unique . Sold to Praty id , Sales ORG address are not same .. its different.
I have develeoped interface with Ship to party , sold to party , sales org fields , but I am little confused how to match all fields of Qualifier : SP, WE, OSP a once to -> file.
I can't duplicate segment: E1ADRM1 structure as it is Source
Please provide your input .

Edited by: Varalakshmi SB on Jan 14, 2011 1:29 PMHi,
this kind of conditions will be common during handling of idoc structures...
All you need to do handle the context of the segment E1ADRM1 to the parent node..so that data of all qualifiers will be in single context and checks for the condition you provide
i.e if E1EDRM1/PARTNER-Q Equals WE then pass the target value to the target field..
if you like to gain confidence of your mapping once mapping is done put some test data and right click your mapping conditions and click queue to see the output and how the values are passed to the conditions..

Message Mapping Problem with UTF-16LE Encoded XML
Hello,
we have the following scenario:
IDoc > BPM > HTTP Sync Call > BPM > IDoc
Resonse message of the HTTP call is a XML file with UTF-16LE processing instruction. This response should then be mapped to a SYSTAT IDoc. However the message mapping fails "...XML Parser: No data allowed here ...".
So obviously the XML is not considered as well-formed.
When taking a look at SXMB_MONI the following message appears: "Switch from current encoding to specific encoding not supported.....".
Strange thing however is if I save the response file as XML and use the same XML file in the test tab message mapping is executed successfully.
I also tried to use a Java Mapping to switch encodings before executing message mapping, but the error remains.
Could the problem be, that the codepage UTF-16LE is not installed on the PI system ? Any idea on that ?
Thank you!

Edited by: Florian Guppenberger on Feb 2, 2010 2:29 PMHi,
thank your for your answer.
This is what I have tried to achieve. I apply the java conversion mapping when receiving the response message - i tried to convert the response to UTF-16, UTF-8 but none of them has helped to solve the problem.
I guess that using adapter modules is not an option either as it would modify the request message, but not the response, right? -
Configuring a multiple IDOC-File using BPM
HI,
My scenario involves 2different idocs which are to be mapped to a file structure,the steps that i have followed in IR is ,
1.Create target MesageType
message Interfaces.
2.Create 2 Abs interfaces based on IDOC
3.Create 1 Abs for o/p of BPM.
4.Create 1 Inb for target.
Message mapping.
5.Two dummy mappings for outbound idocs to abstract idocs.
6.One multimapping(two idocs-->File)
7.One Dummy mapping for Abstract Intf(output of BPM) to target Filestructure(inbound).
Interface Mapping.
8.Two Mesage intf for changing Outbound idocs to Abstract using the dummy mapping programs)
9.One Message Intf using 2 abs Idocs to One Abs File(using the multimapping pgm)
10.one msg Intf for BPM Out --> Inb File (using the dummy mapping pgm)
Integration Process.
I have used a fork step under which there are 2 recieve steps to recieve the IDOCS and then a Transformation step that would multi-map the idocs to the file,then a send step.
Please let me know if the approach is right.
Also Could anybody please let me know what steps do i need to take in the Configuration part and should i use the wizard or should i do it manually.
the problem using the wizard is it doesnt let me choose 2 Message interfaces for the sender ie; IDOCS,
Please help me on this.Thank you waiting for a reply....)John,
5.Two dummy mappings for outbound idocs to abstract idocs.
7.One Dummy mapping for Abstract Intf(output of BPM) to target Filestructure(inbound).
These dummy mappings are needed. As both the Abstract Message Interfaces and the Idoc / Inbound interface will use the same message type, no dummy mapping needed. In the interface determination for these, no interface mapping needs to be mnetioned.
ID.
Receiver Determaintions
1. Sender Service -- IDOC1 and Reciver Service is -- BPM. Sender Interface will be IDOC1 and Receiver Interafce will be The IDOC abs interface . No Interface mapping.
2. Sender Service --- IDOC2 and Receiver Service is -- BPM. Sender Interface will be IDOC2 and Receiver Interafce will be The IDOC abs interface . No Interface mapping.
3. Sender Service is BPM , and receiver servcice is File. Sender Interface is File Abs interface and reciver interface is the Inbound File interface.
1 Reciver Agreement for the File adapter.

Problem by transporting the message mapping from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1
Hi Everyone,
by transporting the message mapping from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1 i have got the following problem.
"Source code has syntax error:
K:\usr\sap\E71\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\serve......
package udfpool does not exist
import udfpool.*;
i have used a UDF in my message mapping.
This UDF calls for a method of a java class, which is imported as a .jar file with this message mapping.
this message mapping works very well on PI 7.0,
but doesn't work any more on PI 7.1 because of the problem described above.
anyone can help me out of this problem?
thanks!
zchi,
but did you import the jar archive to 7.1 first?

How to "get" message mapping from XI scenario
Hi guys!
Is there a way, how to export message mapping description in some way from PI? In XI 3.0 it was possible, but what about PI 7.0? Hope you understand me:)
We need it to save this mm description as documentation.
Thanx a lot!
OlianHey Oilan,
with the message mapping open, hold ctrl + shift and right-click in the data-flow editor (the part of the screen where the function boxes and links go).
a different menu will pop-up. just follow "export tools, export" or something like that. It is pretty straightforward.
It will save the mapping in a .mte (or something like that) extension file. It is nothing but an XML. Good thing is that you can also import this .mte file in another message mapping (of course, with same source and target messages, or it won't be able to reference the links).

Java heap space error occured during message mapping of FILE to IDOC
hello Friends,
I am trying to do the message mapping for File to Idoc scenario.
Idoc which I am using is HRMD_A.HRMD_A06 and infotype which I want to update is 14. I am trying to map the message type which I hav created for infotype 14 with the IDOC
Its very simple scenerio but every time I try to save the mapping before activating it I get an error:
Java heap space
Internal problem occurred (INTERNAL_PROBLEM)
Java heap space.
I am not able to figure out what possibly is the problem wheather its from my end or the BASIS end.
Kindly help.
Regards,
LokeshAs the server probably survives (you restart your Integration Builder and can probably connect immediately), the problem will be on your side (client). Did you add one or more large xml-test-instances to the mapping ? If yes, delete them, because they lower the performance and can make problems. If not, then this is a strange problem. Even if the Idoc structure is complex, the mapping object itself cannot be that large.Is this problem only with this one mapping ?

I have a scenario, ECC-PI-Message broker. ECC sending IDOC to PI, PI execute mapping and sends data to Message borker(thru JMS channel).(with almost one to one mapping)., IDOC(AAE)-PI-JMS. Now my requirement is., from PI after mapping we need to create file with same data what ever send to Message broker and put the file in SAP folder without touching mapping. Is it possible? Please advise with the steps. We are using the ICO for this senario. Quick response is appriciated.
