Message Mapping Problem with UTF-16LE Encoded XML

Hello,
we have the following scenario:
IDoc > BPM > HTTP Sync Call > BPM > IDoc
Resonse message of the HTTP call is a XML file with UTF-16LE processing instruction. This response should then be mapped to a SYSTAT IDoc. However the message mapping fails "...XML Parser: No data allowed here ...".
So obviously the XML is not considered as well-formed.
When taking a look at SXMB_MONI the following message appears: "Switch from current encoding to specific encoding not supported.....".
Strange thing however is if I save the response file as XML and use the same XML file in the test tab message mapping is executed successfully.
I also tried to use a Java Mapping to switch encodings before executing message mapping, but the error remains.
Could the problem be, that the codepage UTF-16LE is not installed on the PI system ? Any idea on that ?
Thank you!

Hi,
thank your for your answer.
This is what I have tried to achieve. I apply the java conversion mapping when receiving the response message - i tried to convert the response to UTF-16, UTF-8 but none of them has helped to solve the problem.
I guess that using adapter modules is not an option either as it would modify the request message, but not the response, right?

  • Why are newer versions of Firefox having problems with UTF-16le (Windows default unicode set)

I have a website that has multiple languages on it, and so I've been using UTF-16le for it. Everything was working well on multiple browsers until the last few months, when only Firefox stopped displaying it properly. I can force the page into UTF-16le, but then some of my graphical links no longer work and I cannot navigate through the pages unless I force every single page to UTF-16le EVERY SINGLE TIME. This problem is not unique to my computer, either, as this has happened with every computer I have tried in the last few months.

As answered before a few weeks back [[/questions/770955 *]]: the server sends the pages as UTF-8 and that is what Firefox uses to display the pages. You need to reconfigure the server and make them send the pages with the correct content type (UTF-16) or with no content type at all if you want Firefox to use the content type (BOM) in the file.

  • Message-Mapping Problem with empty queue while testing

    Hello,
I want to develope an mapping to an BMEcat-structure. This mapping should be an filter.
My problem is, that everytime I want to check, if my mapping works correct, the queues for the proccessing steps keeps empty.
I filled a test case with all data I needed for the step I want to test (not the whole mapping is ready, but for this step, it is). Now I go to my mapping step an check the queue for the parameters and the queue comes up and displays the correct values. In next step I want to display the queue of an "equalsS"-Step, but this queue keeps empty as all following queues too. Sometimes there is coming up an empty "Processing log"-window.
The problem only comes up, if the target-message is a BMEcat-Structure.
Have you any solution for this behaviour? Or do you need more informations?

    Hello,
thank you for your tip, but the main problem is still existing. As you can see in the next screenshots, I build in your code and I'm sure it normally works fine. Also I filled the "have to"-Fields in the strukture, so that the check-function (F7) delivers an all right.
But still I get no queue results.

  • JSP display problem with UTF-8 encoding

    Hi,
I'm now writing JSP in order to input English, Traditional Chinese and Simplifed Chinese in the same form of the page. I've set the encoding as below:
    <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> </head>
When, I get the user input in the next page, those Chinese become some squares, "?" or strange codes. However, when these data are store into database, and loaded from database, they display correctly in Chinese. That means I cannot get the string correctly directly from getParameter("") in next page.
What can I do to fix this problem. Thank you so much!
    Zoe

What is your environment (JDK, Server, DB)?
Try add this line to the top of your next page to set the encoding character set. Otherwise, it will default to ISO-8859-1 which gives the chinese characters ??? when you try to display them.
    <%request.setCharacterEncoding("utf-8");%>

  • Message Mapping - problem with target sequence

Hi, I hope somebody can help:
I have already read lots of blog entries and help articles to find a solution but all the tricks with node functions and special conditions didn't help yet.
I would like the sequence of A and B nodes just as is. In the source structure they are on the same level and in the target structure B is subnode of A.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Source structure:
    Node A
    - source fields A
    Node A
    - source fields A
    Node A
    - source fields A
    Node B
    - source fields B
    Node A
    - source fields A
    Node B
    - source fields B
    Node B
    - source fields B
    Target structure (desired):
    A
    - fields A
    A
    - fields A
    A
    - fields A
       B
       - fields B
    A
    - fields A
       B
       - fields B
       B
       - fields B
    However, what I get is:
    A
    - fields A
       B
       - fields B
       B
       - fields B
       B
       - fields B
       B
       - fields B
    A
    - fields A
    A
    - fields A
    A
    - fields A

    Hi,
    Can u try like this.
    Map one to one.
Dont use  any node function also dont change any conexts also af any node or element.
But in target, make node B is under node A, and both are 0..unbounded occurence.
    Try with this....
    Let us know the result.

  • Having problems with UTF-8 encoding from WinPhone

Our sync server (GroupWise Mobility Server) - which supports EAS 14 - is failing to sync an item from a Windows Phone to our email application's calendar.
As we look at the .ics file created by the Windows Phone, we notice that some characters are not UTF-8 characters as claimed (see .ics file below) and thus, do not decode properly and we drop the sync request.

  • Excel XML map problem with Greek characters.

    Hi,
I created a dashboard with XML map connetion. My embeded spreadsheet is linked to an xml file which contains my TOP 50 Customers.
Customers names are in Greek so my xml Header is like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-7"?>
ISO-8859-7 is the Greek encoding for xml.
After embeding the spreadsheet into the dashboard i add a list component to present my TOP 50 Customers.
    So far so good.
Then i add a refresh conection button to update my TOP 50 list. In preview mode everythinng works fine. But when i try to update my data by clicking the refresh button my list is updated but the customers names is turned to unidentified characters.
Is there any encoding problem or this is Xcelsius issue?
    I use Xcelsius 2008 sp3 fp 3.2

    You are right.
I opened the XML file with notepad and saved it with utf-8 encode, also changed the xml tag to <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> and it worked fine.
I map it in Excel Spreadsheet without problems and after refreshing in Xcelsius the characters are diplayed normaly.
So, correct me if i am wrong, the problem is the file encoding, no the xml encoding.
Both, file and xml encoding should be UTF-8.
As i mentioned before my xml files are Crystal Report 2008 reports which are exported as text files with .xml extension, so i have to look for answers in other forum.
    thank you

  • [SOLVED] Problems opening folders with UTF-8 encoded characters

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue when I acess folders in all my programs ( except Dolphin File Manager). Every time I open the folder navigation window in my programs, folders with UTF-8 encoded characters ( such as "ç", "á ", "ó", "í", etc ) are not shown or the folder name not show these characters, therefore, I can not open documents inside these folders.
However, as you saw, I can type these characters normally. Here's my "locale.conf" :
    LANG="en_US.UTF-8:ISO-8859-1"
    LC_TIME="pt_BR.UTF-8:ISO-8859-1"
And here's the output of the command "locale -a" :
    C
    en_US.utf8
    POSIX
Last edited by regmoraes (2015-04-17 12:55:19)

Thing is, when I run locale -a, I get
    $ locale -a
    C
    de_DE@euro
    de_DE.iso885915@euro
    de_DE.utf8
    en_US
    en_US.iso88591
    en_US.utf8
    ja_JP
    ja_JP.eucjp
    ja_JP.ujis
    ja_JP.utf8
    japanese
    japanese.euc
    POSIX
So an entry for every locale I have uncommented in my locale.conf. Just making sure, by "following the steps in the beginner's guide", you also mean running locale-gen?
Are those folders on a linux filesystem like ext4 or on a windows (ntfs?)

  • Exception while unmarshalling UTF-8 encoded XML String, using JAXB.

hi folks. First of all, thank you for contributing to my queries as of now.
    Problem statement.
    - This happens when i try to unmarshall a webservice response, which is nothing but a simple UTF-8 encoded XML string in an soap envelope.
    - 0xae is the register character: &reg;.
    - My next step was to ensure that my code works without this character. So I removed all occurances from my XML. It worked just fine...
    - So what do you guys suggest me to get rid of this problem?
    - Any suggestion will be treated as valuable resource.
    - Is there some kind of encoding setting with jaxb ?

  • Mapping problem with compressed key update record

    Hi, could you please advise?
    I'm getting the following problem:
About a week ago replicat abened with "Error in mapping" error. I found in discard file some record looking like:
    filed1 = NULL
    field2 =
    field3 =
    field4 =
    field5 =

    field10 =
    Where filed9 = @GETENV("GGHEADER", "COMMITTIMESTAM"), field10 = = @GETENV("GGHEADER", "COMMITTIMESTAM"), others are table fields mapped by USEDEFAULTS
So I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record at 2012-06-01 15:44
I guess I need to mention that extract failed in 5 minuts before it with: VAM function VAMRead returned unexpected result: error 600 - VAM Client Report <[CFileInfo::Read] Timeout expired after 10 retries with 1000 ms delay, waiting to read transaction log or backup files. I don't know if it has ther same source as data corruption, could you tell me if it is?
Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
Could you please advise why does it happen?

Well, the problem begins somewhere in extract or before extract, may be in transaction log, I don't know:(
    Here are extract parameters:

  • Could not complete the Render Video command because of a problem with Adobe Media Encoder.

So initially, my problem was solved, but it stopped working again.  Same issue.  I tried installing the media encoder app, but no luck please help!
    Here's the original post:
Hello, I'm running a macbook pro retina, and previously I was able to render video with no issue, and now this is popping up.  I've tried deleting and reinstalling photoshop, but it was not helpful. I would very much appreciate any help or guidance.  Thanks!
Here's the error message I get:
Could not complete the Render Video command because of a problem with Adobe Media Encoder.

    Have you tried re-installing Photoshop?

  • [Solved] Automount Generic MP3 Player with UTF-8 encoding

    Hello, everybody!
    Ubuntu refugee here.
So far I'm going fine with Arch, I just have a couple of problems related to my Generic USB Mp3 player:
    1) I want HAL to mount the player with UTF-8 encoding. Right now, it shows Arabic characters as ??????.
    2) In Ubuntu, it used to recognize the player as an MP3 player, give it a nice icon, and add it as a music source in Rhythmbox. In Arch, on the other hand, the player is mounted as a generic USB flash drive. How can I make Arch recognize it as an MP3 player?
    Thanks in advance.

    GOT IT WORKING!! Yay!
I got the solution from here:
    http://blog.pcode.nl/2006/08/24/introdu … io-player/
The trick is to make HAL identify your Digital Audio Player (DAP) by adding a rule to /usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/10-usb-music-players.fdi  --  and since, in my case, Ubuntu already had a 10-usb-music-players.fdi file that recognized my player, all I had to do was boot up from an Ubuntu live cd and copy Ubuntu's 10-usb-music-players.fdi over Arch's.
Now my issues with Arch are down to only one: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=360647
    Thanks everybody.

  • Not able to handle Special Character in Bpel using UTF-8 Encoded XML

I am using UTF-8 encoded xml for my application, but during conversion of XML from one source to other using simple BIOS java programme , i am not able to convert special characters like(Göblyös Tünde,Makaróni etc). All getting converted to (Gblys Tnde,Makarni etc).As a result data corruption occurred. Please let me know if any go across this issue.

    Hi,
Possibly the data you receiving is not UTF-8... Have you check with the data provider?
Try with other encoding... like ISO-8859-1 for example...
    oracle.soa.common.util.Base64Decoder.decode(zipname.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"));
    Cheers,
    Vlad

  • Problem with HP pavillion dv7 giving message (a problem with the internal fan enter = shutdown

    HP Pavillion DV7 notebook PC
    Windows 7 64
    intel I5
    6 gig memory
    service pack 1
I am trying to identify a problem with my HP Pavillion dv7 laptop
Several months ago it started getting hot and showing messages about problems with the internal fan and battery. It would say enter = shutdown and shut off. I suspected a bad battery so I checked it without it just plugging it in with the power cable. It seemed to work better so I assumed that was the problem.
I ordered a new battery and it worked for a while. The problem came back and is getting worse. I can run it without the battery for a while but it gets got and shows the same message.
I read on here that flashing and updating the bios worked for some but the latest update gives me an error IHISI not support BIOS then Insyde flash not supported.
any help would be great this PC has a lot of info on it and I dont think it is a lost cause
    thanks
