IDoc to JDBC Problem

Hi Frnds,
I'm doing a IDOc to JDBC scenario, there is some intermediate processing in between which involves getting response from DB & sending final update message to DB using JDBC. Till obtaining response  & sending final update is getting executed successfully but  i was asked to handle exception case in BPM where if we get empty response then an alert should be raised & send to the recepient
So for doing this  i had some questions
1. I included exception branch  & assigned two control steps in it one for sending Alert & other for cancelling process. Is this fine or do we not have deadline step as mandatory to handle exceptions ?
2. How can we identify whether response from JDBC is empty in BPM, exactly where can we set application acknowledgement for synchronus send step in BPM,becoz when there is empty response process should go to exception branch for handling this ?
Need ur suggestions Pls..
Regards,
VKG.

1. I included exception branch & assigned two control steps in it one for sending Alert & other for cancelling process. Is
this fine or do we not have deadline step as mandatory to handle exceptions ?
Thats fine....deadline is normally required for Async_Send and receive case.....the SYNC call will be completed within a given time-frame.....so if you want to set deadline then make sure that you select a trade-off between the SYNC_Timeout and your business need.
2. How can we identify whether response from JDBC is empty in BPM, exactly where can we set application
acknowledgement for synchronus send step in BPM,becoz when there is empty response process should go to exception
branch for handling this ?
You have to make use of a SWITCH branch and then  check if the response if blank or not.....check if a node exists and if it exists then check if it has some value or not.

Abhishek.

  • IDOC to JDBC, problem with the multiple line items structure and mapping

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where the ORDERS data need to update the SQL table. for the idoc which consists one line item its ok but for multiple line item its just updating one line item. In the destination side we have only one table for purchase order which consists of lineitem as a field.(no different tables for Header data and Line item data)
    Can anyone suggest me how to create a structure for target side and how to map them.

  • Problem in Idoc to JDBC scenario(uses BPM)

    Hi
    I have a IDoc to JDBC scenario which also uses BPM.
    The JDBC adapter has to execute a Stored procedure on Sybase database.
    I work on XI3.0 SP14.
    When I am sending IDoc to XI it is failing in CALL adapter step.
    The error message is "Unable to convert sender service TruckLiftAccountUpdate to an ALE logical system".
    However this scenario is working in Production with same settings.But it is not working in Quality and it is giving the above error.
    Can any one help me in this.
    Thanks in advance.
    KP

    Thanks for your quick reply..
    All the settings are in place.
    Here the Idoc is coming to BPM and BPM cant able to execute the stored procedure.and we are getting the error from BPM to target system.
    Here error is unable to convert the sender service(from BPM service) to ALE
    logical system.
    same settings are there in Production but it is not working in QA.

    Dear All,
    I am working on IDoc to JDBC and JDBC to IDoc Scenario.
    I have to send Idoc from SAP to Non SAP system(.NET application) i almost configured in XI but still i don't know when my INTEGRATION will INVOKE how my data will proceed from IDOC to Oracle database(Through JDBC) and in case of revese how and when Data flow will start.
    Does anyone have completed STEP by STEP scenario document for this?
    How my Idoc will sent to XI?
    How XI will pick up data from IDoc?
    How XI will Convert data to JDBC and UPDATE in Oracle Database?
    And i reverse case(JDBC to IDoc) when my INTEGRATION will INVOKE?
    Where and When i can watch my process and data?
    How can i test the whole integration?
    I AM GETTING ERROR WHILE TESTING CONFIGURATION IN Integration Directory "Error while refreshing the XI runtime cache" and when i check this in SXI_CACHE  it gives me error

  • IDOC-XI-JDBC scenario,   jdbc sent too slow

    i have a IDOC-XI-JDBC scenario,
    the problem is that near 5 Lac IDOC is sent to XI, each IDOC is processes by an instance of the scenario, and the sent to the Database is too clow...means 4000 records per hour,
    can i configure the JDBC receiver adapter in a way, so that it becomes faster/more concurrent,

    Hey,
    First raise the issue to the  DBA he might help resolve the ISSUE more efficently.
    Secondly check in the JDBC adapter -> Adavance mode -> Disconnect from the data base after processing each message shouldn't be set.
    Even check with Database Transaction Isolation Level -> default is value of the connected database.
    <b>The isolation level  determines how transactions running in parallel can influence each other</b>

    Why not  the other way around > Collect multiple idocs in a file restrict maxium number of idocs to required value then send the file ?
    Stefan Grube Example:
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/18/collecting-idocs-without-using-bpm
    if it is with bpm then collect multiple idoc with occurance change and send them.

  • Idoc to jdbc scenario problum in queue ?

    hi experts
    I am facing a problem in IDOC to JDBC Scenario (PI 7,1) . When i trigger the idoc first time it is inserting in to the data base . when i trigger second and third time  struck in the queue .By default the quality of service it is taking EOIO,
    My question  is :
    1. How to clear the Queue ? and is there is any method it automatically release the queue ?
    2. How to change the QOS EOIO to EO .(i don't find any option at jdbc adapter level to give QOS  ) ?
    Thank You
    G.Praveen Kumar

    Hi,
    >>1. How to clear the Queue ? and is there is any method it automatically release the queue ?

    >>2. How to change the QOS EOIO to EO .(i don't find any option at jdbc adapter level to give QOS ) ?
    For any Adapter, Receiver  side QOS option wont be there. Sender side only will be available.
    As soon as you trigger the Idoc from ECC, this will be sent to receiver in the Idoc generation order only

  • Mapping Issue for IDoc to JDBC interface

    Hi All,
      I am having problem in implementing logic in IDoc to JDBC interface where I have to filter out E1WBB07-KSCHL = VKP0.
      Source IDoc structure is like ->
    E1WBB01(occ 0 -1000)
      |-> E1WBB03 (occ 0-100)
                |-> E1WBB07(occ 0-1000)
                         |-> KSCHL
                              DATAB
                              DATBI
    Now, For each KSCHL = VKA0 there should be a duplicate VKP0 record. From these 2 records only the VKA0 should get processed and VKP0 ignored.
    Duplicates for VKP0 and VKA0 can be identified by identical DATAB and DATBI.
    Suppose, in one  E1WBB03 segment,there are 4 E1WBB07 segment having following values.
    1: KSCHL=VKP0, DATAB=20102011, DATBI=25102011
    2: KSCHL=VKP0, DATAB=26102011, DATBI=30102011
    3: KSCHL=VKA0, DATAB=26102011, DATBI=30102011
    4: KSCHL=VKP0, DATAB=01112011, DATBI=31129999
    2 & 3 are duplicates. From these, 2 should get dropped.
    As a result only 1, 3 and 4 should get  processed.
    How can I proceed with this..?...I have tried some work around but not able to do it successfully. Is a UDF required to compare DATAB and DATBI. If yes how it can be written.?
    Thnx in advance,
    Praveen.

    chk below mapping:

  • IDOC to JDBC - mapping test versus actual run

    Hi
    When I test the message mapping for the idoc-to-jdbc sender scneario, where one sales order idoc has multiple line items in segment E1EDP01, the statement => access structures repeat properly for 2 line items. Here I am giving the idoc xml file (data file) in the payload in the test tab of message mapping)
    However in the communication channel log (with sql statement log = true), when I try to process an actual idoc from ECC, in the sql log of the processed message, I can see an insert statement only for the first line item of the sales order.
    Please can somebody guide me as to what must be the problem?
    Statement occ is 1.
    tablename occ is 1.
    Access structure occ is 0...unbounded.
    The segment E1EDP01 is currently mapped to acess node.
    The sales order number is repeated over the 2 line items using below mapping -:
    E1EDP01 (with context as root) => "useasmany" => split by value => Item no.
    Please advise.

    Hello Gary,
    Make the statement 0..unbounded or 1..unbounded then make the access 0..1. One statement is needed per action
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/44/7c24a75cf83672e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
    If the statements are so complex, you  can also opt to use SQL_QUERY instead.

  • PI : Idoc to JDBC scenario : repeating segments mapping issue

    Experts
    Please help.
    Question reg. mapping for ECC idoc to JDBC scenario.
    I am using the ORDRSP idoc which has multiple segments as below.
    IDOC -> multiple E1EDK14 segments with 2 fields (QUALF and ORGID)
    Depending on the value of the QUALF field i need to populate the column in my target structure.
    QUALF 001  => Colmn a
    QUALF 002 => Colmn b
    For now my graphical mapping is very simple - QUALF => column a (done just to find out how PI mapping works)
    What happens in my case, is the PI Payload shows all the E1EDK14 segments however only the value 006 present in the first occurence goes into the target column.
    How do I repeat a mapping between QUALF and target col. for multiple occurences of the same segment?
    Please can you guide me reg. use of context, loop over segment, UDF = which will be the best solution to achieve this?

    Hi
    My mapping is as below. I will take an example of a sales order that has 2 line items 00010, 00020. The payload is as follows
    I see this payload in the SXMB_MONI transaction => Receiver grouping => Payloads
    - <ZORDRES>

    If you see above there are 2 E1EDP01 segments for line 00010, 00020.
    INSERT INTO  tblOItem  (IDocDate, IDocTime, SalesOrderNo, ItemNo, Plant, ItemCategory, UnitSellPrice, QuantityOrdered, QuantityAllocated, ScheduledDeliveryDate) VALUES (20111206, 135530, 0015002085, 000010, 0086, ZTAN, 0.00, 1.000, 1.000, 20111201)
    My source and target mappings are as below.
    ZSALORD
        IDOC
           BEGIN
             E1EDK01
             E1EDP01
               POSEX               =============>  SalOrdItm table column itemno
    My target side structure (idoc to jdbc scenario is as follows)
    I have mapped the E1EDP01 to Statement - I thought this will build one query per line item (per occurence of E1EDP01) but this is not working.
    MT_OITEM
      Statement
        dbtablename       ============> SalOrdItm
          action      =================> Insert
          table
          access
            Itemno      (this is one of the columns from the table)
    The occurence of E1EDP01 is 0..9999999 while the occurence of Statement node is 1...unbounded.
    Please is there any email address where I can send you screen shots if the above is not clear.
    I need to get this interface delivered as soon as possible but am STUCK.

    Here in IDOC to JDBC interface we need not to config sender Adapter..
    1) The main usage of a sender adapter is to convert the input format into the XI supported XML format.
    Once the conversion is completed the sender agreement appends the header with the sender details.
    In case of these adapters we wont require sender agreement and sender communicationchannel for the
    following reasons.
    Sender agreement is associated with a namespace when we shoot an idoc frm r/3 if already contains its standard sap namespace. so those is need of sender agreement
    The sender communication channel use is to identify the sending system and adapter, as the idoc header contains the details there is no need to sender.
    These adapters resides on ABAP stack here the integration server takes care of IDOC/HTTP to XML conversion without requirement of adapter.
    The business system that is sending the adapter has already been assigned to a techinical system which normally acts as an integration server...

  • Getting ROUTING_BACK_ERROR in the IDOC to JDBC Scenario

    Hello,
    I am working on the scenario IDOC to JDBC .Here from IDOC i have successfully inserted the entries in the table usig JDBC adapter.But it is giving the error in the acknowledgement as below
    SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>

      <SAP:P1>,XD1_WEB</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2>,EDI,,</SAP:P2>
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>Error in back routing Error in communication channel</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    Regards,

    Hi Muthu,
            Sorry for the late reply, i missed the auto mail.
    Anyways is the problem solved?
    Actually the acknowledgement is asked by sender SAP system which pots idoc so it donot matter if your target is JDBC,
    You can see this weblog where the author sends an idoc to xi and xi posts a file and sends back an acknowledgement to SAP server.The technical reason which i think is that SAP system posts and sees the target as a Business system or business service or an intregation process so it donot matter if target is JDBC or file.
    The weblog is:
    /people/saravanakumar.kuppusamy2/blog/2005/01/20/configuration-tips-for-a-business-serviceintegration-process-to-send-back-ale-audit-idoc
    I mean get a try to this, if this donot work we can troubleshoot or think of alternative solution.
    Have a great day!!
    Anirban.

  • Acknowledgment in IDOC- XI- JDBC

    Hi,
    I have a question I've got a process IDOC->XI->JDBC without BPM.
    In BPM could I set "Acknowledgment" f.e. to Transport  if I use a async sender.
    Could I also use this option in a process without a BPM?
    THX Matt

    Hi Ajay,
    thanks for your response message
    The problem that I have is, on my QA System, I get akcnowledgment from Sybase DB - no problem.
    But since we transport all the stuff zu Prod. System it doesn't work anymore...
    What did you mean with "you have to create a listener in the sender side".
    Thanks a lot
    Matthias

  • Idoc to jdbc mapping duplicate source node to target structure

    Dear all,
    I am working on PI 7.1
    My sceniro
    IDOC to JDBC  [sap to mssql ]  where the target is a table structure shown below: I execute a stored procedure to insert the below message type into sql table.
    <ns0:MT_SP_LFBK xmlns:ns0="http://test.com">
    - <Statement_Name>
    - <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
      <table>spr_test</table>
      <BANKS type="Char">BOA</BANKS>
      <BANKL type="char">122207</BANKL>
      <BANKN type="char">4555--0</BANKN>
      <LIFNR type="char">1100000218</LIFNR>
      <KOINH type="char">varchar</KOINH>
      <BKONT type="char">01</BKONT>
      <BANKA type="varchar">S.A.</BANKA>
      </storedProcedureName>
      </Statement_Name>
      </ns0:MT_SP_LFBK>
    The mapping is between source CREMAS02 and the above target structure. Everything works fine.
    The problem is when the  vendor has more than one bank account number the IDOC CREMAS02 replicates the below segment E1LFBKM for each BANK account information. Since target and source are mapped one to one how can i map the second bank account information to the same target structure or genereate a new target Message type for the second bank account  information and send it to sql ?
    <E1LFBKM SEGMENT="1">
      <MSGFN>005</MSGFN>
      <LIFNR>110000021</LIFNR>
      <BANKS>BOA</BANKS>
      <BANKL>122207</BANKL>
      <BANKN>4555-0</BANKN>
      <BKONT>02</BKONT>
      <BANKA>S.A.</BANKA>
      <BNKLZ>3000000</BNKLZ>
      </E1LFBKM>
    Thank you ,
    Teresa

    Hi Teresa,
    which segment have you mapped with <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE"> ?
    Because according to me , if you send <E1LFBKM> to <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
    , you will be able to use your stored procedure several times, in fact each times that you have a <E1LFBKM>.
    Reminds: inside <Statement_Name> you can do several SQL actions like execute one or several stored procedures (could be different).
    Of course, after that your table should accept to have several bank account for a same customer.
    So to have something like that:
    <Statement_Name>
    <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
    </storedProcedureName>
    <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
    </storedProcedureName>
    <storedProcedureName action="EXECUTE">
    </storedProcedureName>
    </Statement_Name>
    regards
