Idoc with crazy content:  "&"   - Entity Reference must end on ;

Hello,
this is our issue:
An R/3 sends per Idoc INVOIC containing this:
After eliminating the "&"  the message could be successfully processed starting in test mode from RWB.
But as we mentioned a few idocs containing the & passed the XI successfully too!
So, how can this be explained?
Any help is appreciated!
Best regards
Dirk

Hello again,
today we have sent a message which was running on error before without any "&".
Looks like we were wrong with our idea.
Same message runs on error again!
And we are on this error message from ABAP Mapping now:
Error in mapping program Y_X02_IDOC_TO_FLAT (Type SAP-ABAP, Kernel Error Id UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION) An Exception of type CX_SY_CREATE_DATA_ERROR has been triggered, but was not considered locally or declared by a  RAISING-clause. The data object of type C could not be generated: Not permitted values for LENGTH.
Looks like there is something wrong with the Mapping program.
So we have to check on our own now!
Thank you for your help!
Regards
Dirk

  • The reference to entity "M" must end with the ';' delimiter issue

    Hello,
    My interface scenario is third party system sending file to PI; Then PI is generating IDOC and sending it to ECC system.
    Now issue is we are getting below error message,
    “The reference to entity "M" must end with the ';' delimiter”.
    What do I have to do to fix this error? I'm not sure what the problem about the delimiter is?
    I am giving example here,
    Input payload like:
    <NAME>H&M</NAME>
    <NAME_2>H&M</NAME_2>
    <NAME_3></NAME_3>
    <POSTL_CODE>00002</POSTL_CODE>
    <CITY>HELSINKI</CITY>
    If I removed ‘&’ from  <Name> segment value then IDOC is generated correctly.
    But Name is coming to PI like that only.
    Please help me.

    Hello Rohan
    It might be that PI thinks &M is part of an XML escape code in line
    <NAME>H&M</NAME>
    it should be <NAME>H&amp;M</NAME>
    Kind regards
    Steve

  • Exception: The declaration for the entity "ContentType" must end with ' '

    I am trying to parse a remote XML file into org.w3c.dom.Document, but it always shows the above Warning information. Any idea for that?
    My Code is like:
    DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    factory.setValidating(true);
    DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
    Document doc = builder.parse("remote url");Thanks!

    As a wild guess, you have an "<!ENTITY" declaration that is not terminated. It's possible that the file is somehow corrupted.
    The error message should contain the line number and column where the parser discovered the error. If you retrieve the XML file by hand and look at that location, you should find the problem.

  • The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.

    Hello Group,
    I have been receiving below such org.xml.sax.SAXParseException exceptions.
    Could you anyone please advise me what could be the reason for these issues and any probable solution thereby.
    NOTE:
    Eg1: Below string is causing error:
    USER Given: funnicity is funny. isn't it. true. well go to "funnicity" today.
    Escaped String : funnicity is funny. isn&#039;t it. true. well go to "funnicity" today.
    Eg2: Below string successfully generated spell suggestions:
    USER Given: funnicity is funny. isn ' t it. true. well go to " funnicity " today.
    Escaped String : funnicity is funny. isn &#039; t it. true. well go to " funnicity " today.
    The difference between above two example strings is, characters to be escaped were separated from other chars with a single whitespace.
    In the below notes "TEXT:" is the string sent by ERXGoogleSpell to org.w3c.dom.Document.parse(InputStream) method and "ERROR:" is the error received from ERXGoogleSpell:
    TEXT:
    funnicity is funny. isn't it. true. well go to " funnicity " today.
    ERROR:
    The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.
    00:43 DEBUG text is : funnicity is funny. isn t it. true. well go to "funnicity" today.

    Thanks so much for all your responses.
    I have actually passed-in properly escaped text to document parser, but it is behaving vaguely.
    I see the text I have posted in my initial post is parsed by forum.
    Here is the text that is reported as error:
    Actual Text: Hello "World"
    Escaped Text passed to parser: Hello & quot;World& quot; (note: & and quot are indeed not separated)
    Here is the text that is working fine:
    Actual Text: Hello " World "
    Escaped Text passed to parser: Hello & quot; World & quot; (note: & and quot are indeed not separated)
    The difference in above two versions of text input is: quotes and word are separated by a space to work fine.
    Please advise a solution.

  • Xslt output options for predefined entity references

    Are there plans to include options for controlling the output of XSLProcessor for predefined entity references?
    I haven't read the XSL spec by W3C, but I suppose that when <xsl:output method="html"> or method="text" is set all the XML predef. entity references (&;, &apos;, etc.) have to be output as charachters, not as &apos, &#39, etc.
    How is <xsl:output> going to be treated in the incoming version(s) with respect to entity references?
    In any case may be it is better to include a programatic way of controlling the output?

    I have a similar problem with the ampersand ent. ref. In the xsl file it has to be writen as and entity ref., but in the html output it must appear as character. However in the html file I'm also getting an entity reference.
    By the way, are you using xsl transformations for the bulletin board? In the previous post the software translated the ampersand ent. ref. into character, but not so the apostrophe.
    And generally can you tell me, how can I prevent the bb software from translating entity references :?)

  • Reference to entity must end with ;

    Hi All,
    My application uses SAX parser to strip and parse the incoming xml file. My problem is whenever the payload contains L@amp;T symbol, it is throwing 'SAX Exception saying that Reference to the entity must end with ;'.
    But, i could open the xml file using xml tool such as xml spy and xml notepad. And as far i know, @amp; is valid representation in xml. I really don't understand why i am getting this exception?
    For testing purpose i put one more ';' at the end of '&' like 'L&;T'. The file was processed successfully and in the output i saw 'L&;T', which was supposed to be L&T.
    I will post the problamatic file as well as the exact exception phrase in my next post. In the meantime, if anybody encountered this problem before, kindly let me know the root cause of this problem and the way to resolve it.
    Your earlier advice is greatly appreciated.

    This has been fixed. I updated to the latest version of Java (Version 6 Update 17 (build 1.6.0_17-b04)) & cleared my browser history (temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords and web form information). I did not have to reboot. Apparently, Java version 6 update 15 had some sort of conflict with P6 Web.

    Well, if that was pasted on one line, it would be:

    So it's supposed to be that way. I just tried it with the extra quotes, and no dice...

  • Workflow Ends in Error " No auth to send IDocs with message type ORDRSP"

    Hello All,
    I have created an RFC user with limited Authoprizations including WE* tciodes and a few ME* transactons for an ALE Set up. I want to make sure i would not be giving more authorizations (extensive) to this RFC user and assign Just required authorizations. So i started testing testing and the inbound IDOC ended in error with a message " No auth to send IDocs with message type ORDRSP" Message no. SR053. Is there any way to find out what is the missing authorization object for the User. Any inputs would be really apprecaited.
    Br,
    Sri

    Hi !
    Becaus alle this happens in beckgound, things are a bit difficult but solvable....
    What you should do is a "Authority trace" ... as follows....:
      - Go to the ST01
      - Mark "Authorisation Check"
      - Swich the trace on for your Workflow user
      - Execute the Workflow until the error uccurs
      - Go back to the ST01
      - Press the "Analyze" button and see what error occurs
    Dont forget to swicht the trace off... otherwise the tracefiles become realle BIG !

  • Loading child SWFs with TLF content (from Flash CS5.5) generates reference errors in FB4.6

    I am currently producing e-learning content with our custom AS3-Framework.
    We normally create content files in Flash CS5.5 with dynamic text fields, which are set at runtime from our Framework (AS3 framework in FB4.6).
    Now we are in the progress of language versioning, and since one of the languages is Arabic we are changing the dynamic text fields to TLF fields.
    Then all my problems started.
    In Flash I have chosen to include the TLF engine and to export in frame 2.
    (see to: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/loading-child-swfs-tlf-content.html )
    I get this error:
    VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of getEventMirror in flashx.textLayout.elements.FlowLeafElement.
                at flash.display::MovieClip/gotoAndPlay()
    I guess it is because our framework wants to gotoAndPlay before the TLF engine has been loaded.
    Can this be it?
    Any good suggestions on how to handle loading child SWFs with TLF content.

    Please refere to the following articles .. you may find some help.

  • Create a site collection with dedicated content db with the help of server object model

    Hi,
     I have a requirement to implement a create a new site collection with dedicated content db. i have got 2 PowerShell scripts which does the same. first i will  create a content  db and then create the sitecollection with contentdb
    parameter with the created contentdb name.
    Now the site collection created must contain few doc libs and few splists with look up columns, people picker data type, multiline of text, single line of text,choice field. hence i am thinking the below approach:
     1) create a web template and include sp doclibs, splists , site columns in this.
     2) i am thinking of a ui design to create the below:
     These are called "projects" which is actually the site collection with the doclibs, splists and must be created by sharepoint admin on click of a link in my landing page.end users access these "projects"  aka
    "site collections" and uploads the documents into these projects and collaborate.
    so my question is :  On click of a button can I create a site collection with a dedicated content db based on the web template created with the  hel of  server  object model?
    The other approach is on click of this button call the power shell script which accepts the sitecollection name and contentdb name as parameter. is this possible in  server obj.model ?
    passing a paramter from code behind- visual web part ui to power shell ?
    and it should create the site collec based on the web template and create the content db.
    my doubt #3 : will it not throw error "request timed out" when creating the site collec and contentdb from ui ?

    Try below:
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/21606/programmatically-create-a-site-collection-in-an-existing-mounted-content-databa
    PowerShell is just a wrapper for the object model. You shouldn't need to reference PowerShell in your feature, just create the new site collection with C# inside your feature. There's a blog post here that illustrates some code that may get you started.

  • Problem with Persistent Object as Reference Attribute of Persistent Object

    Hello All,
    I have a problem with a persistent class that contains a reference attribute to another persistent class.  I can write the reference object attribute to the DB but when I read the reference attribute back from the DB the object is null.  Allow me to explain...
    I have two tables; one is a data table with one key field of type OS_GUID, the second is a mapping table with several business key fields and two further fields; an instance GUID and a class identifier GUID.  The data table is used to contain all the data for an object.  The mapping table is used to hold a relationship between the GUID assigned in the data table and the business key.  The mapping table has been structured in this way by following the help here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/df/e785a9e87111d4b2eb0050dadfb92b/frameset.htm
    and the field mapping in persistent class for the mapping table has been mapped following the help here:

    The code I use to create entries in the data and mapping table is:
    <-snip->
      DATA:
        gv_blank_data_guid TYPE REF TO zcl_ps_data,
        gv_data_guid       TYPE        os_guid,

          go_data_ps = go_data_agent->create_persistent(

    ... finally, write the new data to the data business key map table
              go_data_map_ps = go_data_map_agent->create_persistent(

    The fact that it is possible to pass the object GO_DATA_PS in the call to GO_DATA_MAP_AGENT (the line that I've put the comment "note1" on) indicates to me that the reference to the data persistent object can be written to the DB by the mapping persistent object.  After executing the above code the mapping table object and class identifier fields are populated.  Also, if multiple entries are written to the tables then the class identifier field in the mapping table is always the same and the object ID is different as expected.
    However, the problem I have is if I read an object from the DB using the business key with the following code:
    <-snip->
      DATA:
        gv_req_date        type        datum,
        gv_data_guid       TYPE        os_guid,
        go_data_ps         TYPE REF TO zcl_ps_data,
        go_data_agent      TYPE REF TO zca_ps_data,
        go_data_map_ps     TYPE REF TO zcl_ps_data_map,
        go_data_map_agent  TYPE REF TO zca_ps_data_map,
        go_exc             TYPE REF TO cx_root.
      go_data_agent = zca_ps_data=>agent.
      go_data_map_agent = zca_ps_data_map=>agent.
      TRY.
    Read data mapping with the business key
          go_data_map_ps = go_data_map_agent->get_persistent(
                             i_data_ref     = iv_data_ref
                             i_action       = iv_action ).
    ... then read the data.
          TRY.
              CALL METHOD go_data_map_ps->get_data_guid
                RECEIVING
                  result = go_data_ps.
            CATCH cx_os_object_not_found.
          ENDTRY.
        CATCH cx_root INTO go_exc.
      ENDTRY.
    <-snip->
    At no point during this code are the attributes of the object of the persistent class for the data table populated with the contents of the fields of the data table referenced as the attribute of the mapping table.  To clarify, when viewing the object in the debugger all the attributes of the mapping object that are simple table fields are populated with the values of the fields of in the mapping table, however, the attributes of the object that represents the persistent class for the data table are not populated with the fields of the data table.  I had hoped that by reading the mapping table object the data object would automatically be populated.  Is there another step I need to perform to populate the data object?
    I'm sorry if the above is hard to follow.  Without being able to provide screenshots it's difficult to explain.
    If someone has managed to store references to persistent objects in a table and then read the references back could you list the steps you went through to create the persistent classes and include the code that reads the objects please?  The code I have almost works, I must be just missing some subtle point...
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve.

    Hi Andrea,
    The iObject being replicated at item level for Service Complaints is the SAP standard behaviour.
    Generally we raise complaint refering to some sales or service issues. In your scenario you are trying to create a complaint based on an iObject, then you have to mention the corresponding product details. I dont see any business requirement not to copy the iObject product at the item level.
    If you want it then I think only you have to write a Z program for it.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi Dinil,
    I have provided you with a sample that would show you the how you can get the size of an arraylist
    the sample has a page untitled1 and a bean named test.
    I have run in on jdev 11.1.2 and it is ok, it will be ok on 11.1.3
    after running the sample you will see the 2.
    please remember that you must add the JSTL taglib on the viewcontroller.
    just right click on viewcontroller, go to tag lib select the jstl.

  • [SOLVED] ADF BC : View Object "second level" Entity reference issue

    hi
    If I insert a row in a View Object that uses "two levels" of Entity references, the attributes of the Entity on the "second level" don't get a value.
    Consider these tables:
    MY_ROW (MY_ROW_ID, MY_ROW_STUFF, MY_ROW_LU1_ID)
    MY_ROW_LU1 (MY_ROW_LU1_ID, MY_ROW_LU1_STUFF, MY_ROW_LU1_LU1_ID)
    MY_ROW_LU1_LU1 (MY_ROW_LU1_LU1_ID, MY_ROW_LU1_LU1_STUFF)
    Where MY_ROW.MY_ROW_LU1_ID is a "look-up" in MY_ROW_LU1 and MY_ROW_LU1.MY_ROW_LU1_LU1_ID is a "second level look-up" in MY_ROW_LU1_LU1.
    I created default Entities and Associations on these tables and a View Object that uses all 3 Entities (MyRow as Updatable, MyRowLu1 and MyRowLu1Lu1 as Reference).
    See example code in
    http://verveja.footsteps.be/~verveja/files/oracle/ViewObjectEntityReferenceIssue-v0.03.zip
    (contains no Java code, all out-of-the-box ADF BC)
    problem scenario:
    If run the MyRowService Application Module in the Oracle Business Component Browser and "open" the MyRowViewAll View Object instance, I get the rows and their related "look-up values".
    If I click the "Insert a new record" button and fill out values for MyRowId, MyRowStuf and MyRowLu1IdEntity, I only get "look-up" values for the "first level". While the "second level" stays empty.
    For example, a MyRowLu1IdEntity of "2003" gives a MyRowLu1Stuff value of "2003 stuff", but no value in MyRowLu1Lu1Stuff.
    What am I doing wrong? What should I change to also get a value in the "second level" MyRowLu1Lu1Stuff attribute?
    many thanks

    Jan,
    If you create a view object on Emp and Dept, with Dept as a reference entity, you might choose to build the view object to only include the:
    Emp.Empno (required, since it's the PK of Emp entity usage)
    Emp.Ename (included since you want to show the ename)
    Dept.Deptno (required, since it's the PK of the Dept entity usage)
    Dept.Dname (included since you want to show the dname)
    The wizard enforces the inclusion of the required attributes above.
    When you run this view object, a join is performed and you see the reference data.
    Now, if you want to allow the user to UPDATE the reference data, you need to add one more attribute to the list of attributes:
    Emp.Empno
    Emp.Ename
    Emp.Deptno (To allow user to change Deptno employee belongs to)Dept.Deptno
    Dept.Dname
    At this point, not only is the join performed for you, but the ADF BC reference mechanism reacts to any modification of the Emp.Deptno attribute, correctly showing the reference information for that new foreign-key-referenced department (even before commiting and requerying, at which time the SQL join would pickup that correct, related information).
    The "second level" problem you describe in this thread is simply the same issue described here as a master/first-level-detail situation, taken to its logical next step. If you want the end-user to be able to change the second-level detail to which the first-level-detail is associated, you need to include the first-level-detail's foreign key attributes in the view object's select list. Otherwise, there is no foreign key attribute whose value-change event the framework can react to in order to coordinate the related reference data in the row.
    I've blogged a link to a working example of a four-level reference information view object here:
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/2007/05/09.html#a818
