IDOCs : Not abe to add funciton module to Z Process code.

Hi,
I have created a new Z process code and was trying to add the function module to the process code. I can see the fucntion module in the list but when i select and press enter i get a error message " Application object type is not planned".
I have added the enrty for message type and function module in we57.
am i still missing something?
thanks.

Hi,
Maintain the entry in BD51 as well if its inbound.
Also check if you've specified the further details of the function while creating the we42 entry.
i.e logical messages and the IDoc packet and Object type, start event and end event.
regards,
Advait

    Hi,
I have a scenario in which i have to send MBGMCR02 Idoc from SAP to XI.
I created a new Outbound process code and now I have to code the function module that populates data into the segments.
Does anyone have sample code for this, i.e code to put in the finction module of an outbound process code?

    Hello Preethi,
    Try with these Tcodes:

  • ALE - Idoc not getting processed automatically, instead going fine in Debug

    Hello All,
I have a problem with Inbound idoc processing.
IDoc settings were made 'immediate processing' in WE20, and the process code is set correctly and the attached of Z-Fun. module to process the idocs to process code.
The error in inbound side is as 'Function module not allowed: APPL_IDOC_INPUTI' 51 status. Am sure i have to do some thing with ALE settings.
Can some body help me with correction step or sequence of steps  for this ALE process.
    Thanks & Regards, Jilan

    Hi Jilan,
    Plz follow the steps:
    ALE Configuration:
    •     WE30 - IDOC type creation
    •     WE31 - Create segment
    •     WE81 - Message type creation
    •     WE82 - Link IDOC type to Message type
    •     SE37   - Create Inbound Function Module
    •     BD51  - Maintain entry for Function Module
    •     WE57 - Maintain
    •     BD57  - Link Function Module, IDOC type and Message type
    •     WE42 – Create Inbound Process Code
    •     BD67  - Link Process code to Function Module
    •     WE20 - Create Partner Profile
    •     BD64  -  Display Distribution Model
    •     WE02 -  IDoc List, Display all Inbound/Outbound IDocs
    •     WE14 -  Outbound Processing of IDoc’s
    •     BD20 -  Inbound Processing of IDoc’s
    1st Step:   Create  a Segment  ( WE31)
Segment is a structure for passing data in IDoc. It actually contains the IDoc data, just like the DDIC table/structure. Segment is created with all the required fields. Then Save it.  But, to actually use this Segment, you have to Release the Segment, otherwise u can’t use the Segment, by menu, EDIT--> Set Release.
Now, if you want to do some change to this Segment, u cant, unless & until u Cancel the Release, by Edit--> Cancel Release.
    2nd Step:   Create IDOC Type  ( WE30 )
After creating the Segment, now we have to create the IDoc Type. IDOC Type is like an envelop of a letter, which contains the data inside it, & also some more information like address. IDoc type can be Basic Or Extended.
Basic IDoc Type:  Using some SAP existing IDOC type (ex. MATMAS) or Custom IDOC type.
Extension IDOC Type:  When we need some fields extra to an existing IDOC type, then we can extend that Basic Idoc Type by another Segment. This is called Extended idoc type
3rd Step:   Create Message Type (WE81)
Message Type is like the Postman for sending the Letter.
4th Step:   Attach Message Type to the IDOC Type (WE82)
    5th Step:   Create a Function Module (SE37)
Write the Processing logic in a Function Module.
    6th Step:   Mention the IDOC Type, i.e, 0/1/2 (BD51)
7th Step:   Assign the Message Type, IDOC Type & Function Module (WE57)
8th Step:   Create a Custom Process Code (WE42)
9th Step:   Attach the Function Module to the Process Code (BD67)
    10th Step: Execute Inbound IDOC’ s (WE19)
Example Function Module: IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS (Standard FM to create Sales Order).
    reward is useful,

  • Process code's function module required for the IDOC Message type PROACT

    Hi,
I am trying to trigger an IDOC from ME32K transaction which will carry my Contract agreement details to XI. The IDOC I am using for this purpose is PROACT.PROACT01. But I couldn't find the outbound process code / Function module for the process code associated to this IDOC message type.
    Pls help me out....
    Thanks,
    Ram Kalyan

I checked table EDIFCT for the message type and found this:
Function module            Function type    Basic type                                      Message Type
    IDOC_INPUT_PROACT          F               PROACT01                                       PROACT
Oops...I think you are looking for outbound..Ignore

  • Idoc - Error Status 51: Incorrect function module called up

    Hi,
In the receiver system for the custom message type, I got this error.
    Incorrect function module called up
Can any one pls help me to solve this one.
    Regards,
    Bala Raja

    Hi Bala,
Check the inbound function module attached to process code in receiving system. Generally in every inbound function module first check is coded for checking message type or for checking funciton module like below. In the receiving system go to WE20 and then select the partner and select inbound message type. in that double click on assigned process code.then you have to double click on displayed FM. In that fm check first few lines. You will find this error message.
    LOOP AT IDOC_CONTRL.
        IF IDOC_CONTRL-IDOCTP(6) <> 'DESADV'.
          MESSAGE ID 'E0' TYPE 'E' NUMBER '029'
          WITH IDOC_CONTRL-IDOCTP ' ' 'IDOC_INPUT_DESADV'
          RAISING WF_ERROR_PROCESS.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Process code for IDOC Output from MIRO

    Hi,
We need to find the Process code for IDOC output to assign Output type in ECC. We need the IDOC output to some other system like PR while doing the invoice Posting (Transaction code MIRO). We tried Using process code SD09 for the IDOC with IDOC Type INVOIC02. In SD09 we are getting error (Update terminated) when we trigger the output while saving in MIRO transaction.
Further we understand that process code SD09 is used for SD billing and Invoice process.
    We need your help in
    1.      getting the correct process code for the IDOC generation for Invoice posting thru MIRO.
    2.      If we need to configure one process code, let me know the correct function module for the same.
Please Note, we need this as Output Idoc from Invoice Posting MM (MIRO).

    Hi Shankar,
Thanks for quick for reply. We have tested this process code with IDoc type - GSVERF03 and message type - GSVERF. It worked for us for MIRO transaction.
we are testing with IDoc type INVOIC02.
once again thanks for sharing the process code.

  • Idoc inbound processing - Combine process codes

    Hello,
i have the following problem. I receive an idoc from system a) and i want to process the idoc in the HR system and afterwards I want to forward the idoc to System B).
If i use HRMD as process code for in the partner profile on the HR system - the idoc which contains an user id is processed but not forwarded.
If i use ED08 as process code instead of HRMD the Idoc is forwarded but not processed.
But i need both - is there a possibility to combine two process codes although one is only a function module ant the other one is a workflow?
It would be great if anyone can help me.
    Best regards
    Ariane

    Hi,
a function module was created and that works out well as long as one idoc contains only one E1PLOGI segment.
System A sends the Idocs due to change pointers. Is there a chance to do settings so that only one employee is distributed per idoc?
    Thanks a lot in advance

  • Wht is process code in idoc

plz tell me the meaning and necesity of processcodes(we41 and we42) in idocs.

    hi
    good
    Definition
Another name for a specific process, for example function module or workflow. IDocs are read or written in this process.
    Use
In the partner profiles, the processing is never addressed directly but rather always via a process code. You can therefore replace an old process with a new one for any number of partners by assigning the existing process code to the new process.
Two types of process code are used in conjunction with the partner profiles:
Outbound Process Code - if you are using outbound processing under Message Control, the IDoc is generated in the IDoc interface. The process code names the relevant function module.
Inbound Process Code - names the function module or workflow which reads the IDoc data and transfers the data to the application document.
If you do not know what process code is relevant for your business process, but you know the message type, then you can display the process code defined for this message type: Choose Documentation ® Process codes in the initial node of the IDoc interface or use the F4 Help in the partner profiles after you have entered the message type.
There are also the process codes for exception handling:
System Process Code - names the workflow which is triggered in inbound or outbound processing when an exception occurs.
Status Process Code - names the exception workflow which is triggered when an incorrect status is returned by the external system.
These two types are configured centrally and not on a partner-specific basis and therefore do not have to be maintained when a new process is defined. They were introduced for the sake of completeness, so that each process in the IDoc interface is addressed via a process code.

  • IDOCs - Simple doubt in INBOUND DELVRY. IDOC-DELVRY03, Process code isDELV?

    Hello Experts,
Our SAP system receives the Inbound IDOC for Delivery from Gentran.
    Further details are,
    Process code: DELV
    IDOC type: DELVRY03
    Message type: SHPCON
    Message code: TOC
Parther profile: Account # of Ship To party
    So, my requirement is that,
If this Inbound Delivery IDOC contans the Message Code as TOC, I need to insert/add my logic
    so, let me know that,
    1) Request u that, let me know How to go ahead, becoz am new IDOCs, like, Is I need to look for the any Usre Exit? I mean, At Wht point I need to add my code in this whole process?
    thank you

    Hi Srinivas,
Use the below user exit for creating a STO order.
      CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '003'
           EXPORTING
                IDOC_CONTROL        = IDOC_CONTRL
                IDOC_DATA           = IDOC_DATA[]
                DELIVERY_HEAD       = S_KOKO
                DELIVERY_ITEM       = T_KOPO[]
                PACKING_HEAD        = T_VSEK[]
                PACKING_ITEM        = T_VSEP[]
                PROCESSING_STATUS   = F_STAT
           IMPORTING
                WARNING_IGNORE      = F_FLAG
           CHANGING
                PROCESSING_PROTOCOL = T_PROT[]
           EXCEPTIONS
                OTHERS              = 0.
Because by the time you get to this point, the delivery document is created. I believe you need to create the STO order only once the delivery document is created.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh.

  • Doubt in IDOC Regarding Process codes

    Please check the link
    http://idocs.de/www5/books/IDocBook/cook_A5.pdf
In page no: 32 (Topic: 8.5 Assigning a processing function ) ,FM is assigned directly to Message type and Idoc type combination.
But in the next page, Process code is created for that FM and Asigned that process code to message type and Idoc type combination.
    What's the differece.
Another thing is in which transaction we assign Process codes to Message type and Idoc type Combinations
Above tutorial looks like old version. In my system Transactions are looking different ,than they are in Tutorial. I am working in version 5.0. If possible, Please provide me perfect material.

    Hi
Process code always points to a Function module
Means it calls the fun module
In We41/42 you creata process code and assigns to a Message type
so means that Process Code, Idoc Type and Message type are interlinked
Even you can check in WE20 partner profile
    in the Outbound
double click on the Message type and press message control , it shows the process code attached
and double click on the process code it shows the fun module attached to it.
    Reward points if useful

  • Custom Function Module for the New Process Codes

I want to distribute the custom table data . For that i have written the program using MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE. I have created the custom message & idoc types along with their assignments.
I got struck up at the process code. I have to assign the function module for that process code. Can anyone kindly help me in writting the code at that function module ?

    Hi Friends,
My requirement is , i need to transfer the table records. For that i have created the Message/Idoc Types and also created the Partner profile and the Distribution model view .....all alll i have done.
My doubt is , in the we20, at the outbound parameters , i can give the Message/Idoc types that i have created. Ok thats fine
But at the inbound parameters, i have to give the inbound process code. So i have created the Inbound process code. As we know that for every process code a function module is attached, now i have to create the function module which posts the records in receiver side.
so 1. Does the Function module need to be RFC Enabled ?
         2. Do we need to create Object type in SWO1 once i
create and release the function module ?

  • Process code in IDoc processing

    Hi!
I can use WE42 to define my own process code, for example ZINV, but where to define its 'behaviour',
which is maybe coding or anything else?
    Many thanks,
    Aries

    Hi Lakeshman,
    Thanks for your help.
When define my own process code in WE42, there is a step that assign a function module to my process code at Identification field, but I cannot find my self-defined function module in the dropdown list.
What is the relationship between WE57 and WE42?
And in WE20 inbound processing, there is no basic type just process code, which seems inconsistent to WE57.
    Regards,
    Aries

  • Assigning of process code to function module

    hi all,
please let me know where to go for assigning teh process code to function module. i am unable to get the function module from the process code(we42).  please let me know
    thank you

In WE42 itself we can assign the process code to a FM.
    select new entries.
Enter a process code name & description.
Enter Ur FM in Identification Field.
Now select Processing by Function module in Processing type.
    Save it.
For outbound do the same thing in WE41 tcode
