IDS 5.1 - Servers not showing in console

I have created a new admin user, but when I logon to the iPlanet Console using the new account I don't see any servers in my list. If I logon using my existing admin id I see a list of the servers.
Any ideas?

If your current version is 5.1 or 5.1.1 it should show up.
You also must have QuickTime 7.1.3 installed for this to show up in Software Update.
"Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 requires Mac OS X v10.4.7 and QuickTime 7.1.3 or later"

  • Connected servers not showing up in side menu

I have had my connected Windows servers showing up in my side menu. I log in to them every day. Then one started not showing up, but was still on my desktop. So I dragged it over each day. Now both aren't showing up there. I have tried disconnecting and relogging in to try to reset them, but no luck. My finder preferences say they should be there, but they are not. Is there a way to get them back in the side bar permanently? Thanks.

Thanks for the info on trashing the sidebars.plist file.
I was getting a weird phantom server showing up. Called itself brn_86401b. No idea how or why it appeared but it started when I tried to get file sharing working with my three computers. Two Macs and a Toshiba PC.
All work well but the brn guy decided to join in. I'm in the middle of of nowhere with no neighbours so no idea what happened . I tried to get rid of it but to no avail so decided to hit the forums for help.
Trashed the plist file did the trick. Thanks.

  • Tremulous Servers not showing up

(I wasn't sure if this should go in "network" or "games", so move it if necessary)
I've been having a problem with gettig servers to show up in tremulous. Everytime I click "get new list" It says "getting info for -1 servers". Notice the "-1", that number should be ABOVE zero. I've looked at the my router configuration and everything is fine. Nothing is being blocked.
To test to see if it was something to do with a local configuration that was causing the problem, I booted an ubuntu cd and installed tremulous using that, and guess what? It worked perfect.
So now that leaves me knowing that it has something to do with my network configuration.
    Could someone help me out?

  • CSA Error - not showing in console

I get the following error from CSA when I look into the securitylog on the server, but it is not showing up in the CSA console.
When I take the server out of test mode it stops the server from forwarding on my SMTP mail relays. It is the only log in at that time, so I know it is related, I just need to know what rule in CSA to change so this action is allowed..
    thanks

Is the rule set to log? I would look for Network Access Control rules in the groups the server belongs to and see which ones are set not to log.
You could also manually create a rule that allows that action to that IP address.

  • SAP Servers not showing up in Server Explorer...

    Hi,
I have just installed v2 of NCO and everything has installed fine. Also tested a previous application written for v1 NCO and works fine.
But for some reason or other I can no longer create a sapproxy with V2. I followed the tutorial in VS2003 to the tutorial point in bold:
    Procedure
    1. In Visual Studio .net create a new Visual Basic or C# Console application
    2. Add an SAP client proxy to your project as follows:
    a. From the Project menu in Visual Studio .net, select Add New Item.
    b. Select SAP Connector Proxy as a template and choose Open.
    c. Switch to the VS .NET Server explorer.
<b>d. Right-click on SAP Servers and select Add Server.</b>
All I have is a Servers node that lists previous servers and a data connection node for SQLServer. There is no node called SAP Servers. Obviously this is the fundamental reason why I cant create a proxy as per tutorial notes.
Maybe the installation may have missed something, but I had no problems with the installation at all and like I said apps I had written in V1 are working.
    Please help...
    thanks
    Kurt

    Ofer, I spoke too soon.
I now have the SAP servers coming up and the BOR and Functions folders now. But When I try to create a filter on functions as per tutorial for <b>"RFC_CUST*"</b> it says incorrect username and password. I have tried refreshing this time and still comes up with a RED cross.
This is the same user account as used in NCO v1 app that is currently working with V2 of NCO. I have tried with uppercase password but still no luck.
This is the connection string constructed by proxy:
    ASHOST=yamba SYSNR=1 CLIENT=300 USER=dotnetconn PASSWD=ALLREADY LANG=en
    Something seems a little weird.

  • Authorized DHCP Servers not showing up in Authorized list.

I have used ADSI edit to validate that the correct servers are under: CN=NetServices,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=Domain,DC=com
Currently we are in 2003 R2 mode for the Domain but all of our DC's are Windows 2008R2.
I did find a value for showInAdvancedViewOnly is set to TRUE.
    Thank you,
    Scott

If you still have the ticket open with Microsoft Premier Support for the DHCP migration, I would contact the engineer that helped you explaining what you are seeing so they can resolve it. After all, it is part of the ticket.
Please note, that TechNet forum support is not aligned with Microsoft Premier Support. They are two separate entities.
In the meantime, you can try the following, but I would still email/contact the engineer assigned to your ticket for verification, since they are familiar with your infrastructure and servers. (This was quoted from:
    http://support.iyogi.com/networking/internet/when-netsh-dhcp-show-server-command-is-executed-and-you-are-getting-invalid-dhcp-server-references.html )
Run the ‘Netsh’ command to verify, if the ‘CN=NetServices’ container contains the references to the invalid DHCP servers.
Check the properties of the DHCPROOT key under CN=Configuration, CN=Services, ‘CN=NetServices’, ‘DC=Domain’, and ‘DC=com’ to verify if there is a ‘DHCPServer’ attribute containing the references for the invalid DHCP servers.
    Delete invalid references.
    Force replication
After replication is successful, verify by executing the ‘netsh dhcp show server’ command.

  • Remote Desktop Services settings (Overview,Servers) not showing up for other Administrators

One of my colleagues recently setup RDS on Windows Server 2012 R2, and its working well. When he is logged into the broker server and looks at Server Manager, his RDS settings are populated and he can manage the environment.
When the rest of us on the team log into the same server, Server Manager RDS Overview shows that are terminal servers are not part of the server pool and we don't see any collections.
What is the correct process for connecting to or configuring the Server Manager to see the farm?
    TIA,
    Jerame

    Hi Jerame,
Each admin user needs to add the servers that are part of the RDS deployment to the server pool.  To do this they need to select Manage -- Add Servers in Server Manager.
It is easier if you organize your servers ahead of time.  For example, if you keep all of the RDS servers that are part of a deployment in the same OU, it is simple to choose the OU and add them all at once when in the add servers dialog.
The other method that helps is to use a common naming scheme, for example, a common prefix like RD (RDCB01, RDSH01, RDSH02, RDWEB01, etc.).  In this way you can enter RD, click find, and select all of the RDS servers at once.

  • Connected Servers Not Showing Up in Sidebar

When I connect to a server it used to show up in the sidebar of a Finder Window under Shared (I think) or perhaps Places. It no longer does despite the fact that I have Connected Servers checked under the Sidebar tab of Finder Preferences. How did I lose it, and how can I get it back?
    Regards,
    Gregory

Just want to let you know that I got rid of the file
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
(actually dragged it onto the Desktop), logged out and in again, and now the Finder sidebar is working properly again.
Once I saw that things were OK I threw out the old sidebarlists.plist file.

  • Connected Servers Not Showing in sidebar

Just taken delivery of a new 27" iMac - very very nice indeed.
However a couple of irritations and one for this community.
At our office we connect to an Xserve running 10.75 server (the iMac is Mountain Lion).
We used to be able to drag our connected server partitions to the sidebar under devices. On a restart they automatically reappeared once connected.
This does not happen on my new iMac.
    Any suggestions welcome.

Try going to Finder Preference/Sidebar and under Shared select Connected Servers.
If the box is already selected, try deselecting it and then reselecting it.

  • VNC Viewer not showing the console

I am trying to connect to the console of a VM using VNC, but the VNCViewer (tightVNC) says "Connection established" and does not prompt for the password. Is there a setting on the VM Server that needs to be setup to access the console using VNC?
    Any help is greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    -Sheshi

The console may just be "blanked". Try clicking into the window and hitting enter a few times.
Also I found when VNC'ing into a server with multiple VM's running you can specify the console with a :1 or :2 (ect..) to attach to the specific VM console. Take a look at the status of the VM in the Oracle VM Manager console to find which VNC port it's on. e.g. "VNC Port:5902" I connect to <oracle VM Manager host>:2 with the tightVNC client

  • Application icons not showing in console

Does anyone see application icons in the Configuration Manager console? There's an "Icons" column as if this is an intended feature, but it always shows the generic application icon. This is really annoying as I can't check applications icons unless
I find a machine the application is deployed to and check Software Center.
Is this a known issue? Is there some way to resolve it?

  • ST03N Tcode not showing last 3 days average response time

    Hi,
In my Production system not showing last 3 days average response time.In our production 1 (CI+DB) and 3 dialog instances are there. In all servers sapcollector working fine but in all servers not showing last 3 days values. Please advise solution.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas.

The following are the prerequisites needed to get the workload monitor(st03) working.
    1)      The system time zone of the SAP and the Operating system has to be same. This can be done by customizing time zones of the SAP using the Tcode STZAC.
    2)     All the standard background jobs has to be scheduled to run. This can be done by scheduling the standard background jobs using the Tcode SM36.
    3)     The following parameters has to be added to the instance profile.
    Parameter                                                  Value(default)                                                  Description
    i.     stat/as_collect                                                          = 2                                          Application statistic: detailed records.
ii.     stat/as_level                                                              = 1                                          Records for application statistic are active.
iii.     stat/max_files                                                           = 48                                        Max. no. of stat files to be kept.
iv.     stat/as_max_files                                                    = 48                                        Max. no. of appl. stat files to be kept.
This can be done by editing the profiles using the Tcode RZ10.

  • Manually Installed Agent is not showing up in the Operations Manager Console Under Pending Management.

    Hi Community,
I submitted this question because I'm a bit stuck with SCOM 2012 R2, I'll try to explain briefly what is happening right now in my environment,  we have a DEV SCOM Deployment in which all the roles are installed in a single server, this servers is a
VMware machine running Windows Server 2008R2.
The Initial installation of the SCOM Operations Manager and all the other components was not performed by me but by a co-worker, unfortunately he doesn't remember much about the initial configuration. So i had to pickup where he left things about a year
ago, neither of us are SCOM experts, and we have almost no previous experience with previous versions of this application.
Now the problem that I'm facing is the following, all the DEV Servers are Domain Controllers and one of the indication within the "Guide for System Center Management Pack for Active Directory for Operations Manager 2012" states the following
    Configuration
    Supported?
    Agent-less monitoring
    No
After my first review I notice that our servers were being monitor by agent-less mode and given the above statement from the Operations Guide the only way that we could ever get those domain controllers monitor by SCOM would be by installing the agent on
each server, so I read somewhere (Can't remember where) that in order to install the agents in all the servers I should first remove them from the Agent-less node, which I did. Then I tried to use the discovery wizard to get the agent install in all of them
but it didn't matter how many times I try the servers never show up.
I read in a Tech Net Article that you had to modify the security settings so SCOM would let me decide if I wanted to approve it or not.
    --> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212853.aspx
I performed the suggested steps from the article but still the servers were not showing up, not even if I run the Discovery wizard, so I decided to go and perform the installation manually in a couple of servers I was able to install the agent in one of
the Domain Controllers, I configured the agent to use a service account that has Domain Admin rights. An hour after I installed the agent I went back to the Operations Console Manager and I check under Pending Action but the Server was not showing up. So i
went back to the Internet to try to find out if someone else had experience the same problem, and in one website some mentioned that if the servers were not showing up it was probably because they were still register in the SCOM Database, now I have no idea
of how i can check that or How can i remove them from there to have them available again, but what troubles me the most is that even after i installed the agent manually the server were not being recognize.
I went to the Event Viewer and I found one particular event that caught my attention, see below :

    </Event>
Not sure if this is related to the problem that I'm facing right now, but , I make sure that the RPC Services were running and also the related dependencies too. There's no Firewall enable in any of the servers and DNS seems to be working properly.
Ports 135 / 5723 are open and listening so since I ran out of ideas, I would like to know if some of the experts in this field could perhaps give me some guidelines.
There's one caveat that I haven't mention yet and that is related to SQL, I checked and my user just has read access to SQL i'm not sure if that could affect this but i think is worth mentioning.
My main goal is to have all the servers showing up in the Operations Manager Console.
So thanks all in advance !
    Oscar Loria

So you can ping and nslookup from your ms to these agents and vice versa right?  I wouldn't do a manual install, I would push the agent from the management server.  You can uninstall the agent manually, or use cleanmom to get rid of them.  Then
do an install from the console.  When you initiate the install from the console (management server), should it run into any issues it will dump out an error which will give you an idea of where the problem may be.

  • Transactions Not Showing up in Console

We recently deployed new functionality in our WLS 6.1 based application. The new
functionality consists of MDB's and a Stateless Session Bean which the MDB's invoke.
    The MDB's are
packaged in a separate jar file from the SSB, which is packaged in another jar
    file
that houses all of our SSB's. The MDB's are transactional.
One peculiar issue we have noticed is that in the WLS Console, we do not "see"
    any
transactions related to these new MDB's or the new SSB (Servers->OurServer->Monitoring
    Tab->JTA Tab).
If you click on "Monitor all Transactions by Name" we are expecting to see an
    entry
for each MDB's onMessage() method, in addition to any method's invoked on the
    new Stateless Session Bean.
All of our other Stateless Session Bean methods are show in the "Monitor all Transactions
    by Name" View.
Any insight as to why these MDB's and SSB are not showing up in this view? Are
    we misconfigured in anyway?
Please let me know if you need further information, as I would gladly provide
    it.
    Thanks,
         Al

I hope this is the last one on this topic!
With a one line script I can use the consul easily but lets say I have something really complicated like the script below. Other than fitting it on one line how can I run it from the console?

        console.println(i);
Ctrl Enter after the } throws the following error
    SyntaxError: syntax error
